GARNIER'S new BB Cream,  combats shiny, oily skin, by combining the power of ultra-absorbent mineral pigments for an immediate matte look and perfect, even-toned skin.

The oil-free BB cream works in five ways. It reduces imperfections, moisturises, gives skin a healthy glow, delivers a beautiful matte finish to skin and provides all-important sun protection with SPF 15.

GARNIER'S Oil-free BB Cream provides instant results while also improving the skin’s quality over time. After four weeks the results are clearly visible; skin is less oily, pores reduced in size, imperfections are visibly reduced and skin radiance is improved.

It has a  new active ingredient,  Mineral perlite - a powerful volcanic rock extract known for its ultra-absorbing properties.

Mineral perlite is able to retain up to two-and-a-half times its weight in oil and water and is five times more absorbing than talc, meaning any excess sebum is absorbed to fight that oily shine. This combined with uncoated mineral pigments gives the skin an even tone and a perfectly matte finish

GARNIER Miracle Skin Perfector-Oil-free BB cream is available in two shades - light and medium.

Oil-Free BB Cream

This BB cream is a bit watery but easy to apply and has great coverage. It lasted all day. It feels light and even though I am prone to breakouts, I have not had one since using this product. It is quick and easy to apply with your fingers, and I doubt you would find better value for money. The only con I found was that it did look a bit powdery across my nose after 4-5 hours. I love this product and will definitely continue to use it

Tips: If you would normally use a medium colour, you should try the light in this BB Cream as the colouring is a bit darker than other brands

Morning Go To

I have combination skin and found this the right balance. After using it for several days I noticed that it lasted for a decent amount of time as well which is perfect (8am - 10pm). It doesn't slide off my face or draw attention to dry patches, it just does what a BB cream needs to do. I'd recommend it to anyone.. mainly because it does a good job, lasts well & nourishes my skin without causing any break outs. Only downsides (minor) are that it doesn't come in a range of colours so you might need some bronzer and/or powder, and that the coverage is basic - but perfect for an everyday simple look.

Tips: I often have bags under my eyes and being a BB cream the coverage isn't fantastic. I just dab a bit of concealer under my eyes and on any blemishes before applying the BB cream and am good to go!

Garnier's BBeautiful Cream

For years I have followed the same makeup routine which consists of moisturiser, foundation & a finishing powder. While this is a fairly lengthy (& costly!) process, this has worked for me in the past & so I never saw the need to change. However, recently I started to hear more & more about these new BB creams on the market, touted as ‘wonder ‘ products that meet all your makeup needs all in one handy cream. Naturally this piqued my interest. If these products could do everything I needed in one easy application, thus reducing the time spent putting on makeup & also reducing the cost, then sign me up! And so it was with great curiosity & excitement that I put myself forward for the Beauty Review trial of the Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream. This product really promises a lot (miracles in fact!) so I went into the trial with very high expectations. I am happy to say that for the most part these were met. The Garnier BB cream has quite a light & creamy consistency & can be easily applied using your fingers. It isn’t very thick so it blends well & you don’t have to spend too long applying it. However, the lightness of the cream does mean that the coverage is quite light. My skin can be quite oily at times & I still get the odd breakout (lame!), so for me coverage is very important. I did find that I had to apply at least two layers of the cream in order to get the kind of coverage I wanted, & even then it didn’t always totally cover my imperfections which meant I had to use a concealer as well. I imagine I would use this product up a fair bit faster if I was putting on double layers every time, so this is a little bit of a niggle. In terms of finish, the cream was quite matte which was great for my skin. Later in the day though I did find the shine creeping back in, so the following day I applied a powder on top of the BB cream, just to give it that little bit extra staying power. Other notes: • I couldn’t detect a fragrance, or if there was one, it was very subtle which suits me, as I don’t particularly like foundation that has a scent & it just means there are unnecessary chemicals in it! • I think that the Garnier BB Cream is good value for money, as it is cheaper than a lot of foundations on the market, & can do a lot more. • The packaging works well, & makes the product easy to use. All in all a great product, although I think perhaps it is trying to do a few too many things, & so some are done well, others not so well. For example, the BB cream didn’t give me quite the level of hydration that I like. When I used it on its own, my skin felt a bit tight at times, & I felt that I needed to perhaps use a moisturiser as well. On the flip side, I did find that the cream evened out my complexion, as promised, & gave me a natural, clean appearance. I would recommend the Garnier BB Cream to my friends, as I think it is a great all-round product, & is especially good for people who just want a no-fuss, lightweight, natural-looking makeup.

Tips: - I preferred to use a moisturiser first before applying the BB cream to give my skin a bit more hydration - To increase the longevity of the cream, a bit of finishing powder over the top helps to stave off the shine

Not light enough

I got this in the lightest color and it was way to dark. I would not recommend for paler skin tones as it it quite orange and doesn't go light enough. I think there are only a few shades. However coverage is pretty reasonable for a BB cream and feels light weight. Easy to apply, I used my fingers similar to how I moisture and this worked for me. The coverage appeared very even. It also lasted a similar time to my other BB creams about 4 to 6 hours. I have sensitive skin and this did not break me out. Other than the colourings the only other major downfall to this product was it's packaging. I found the tube would leak out of the top when lid was off without any pressure on the tube. This is not ideal as the lid fills with product.

Tips: Make sure you choose carefully as colour is orange. I also recommend setting with a powder to increase longevity.

Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream (Oil Free)

My skin type is oily/combination, and although the consistency of the product was watery and left a lightly greasy residue it did have an excellent, buildable coverage- although it isn’t a full coverage BB cream. It has a semi matte finish that lasts for about 5/6 hours (this was also using a primer and pressed powder). This BB cream was so easy to apply; I only used my fingers and a beauty blender. However this BB cream doesn’t sit lightly on the face, it’s heavy and I could definitely feel it when it was on, but it gave a beautiful semi-matte finish which was almost identical to my foundation- except this product in ‘Light’ was still too dark for me. Another negative was its poor packaging, when it’s upside down the BB cream pours out so be careful! Additionally, this BB cream doesn’t settle in my creases and most definitely covers my redness although I’d have to build up coverage to hide my blemishes but luckily a little goes a long way. Also it doesn’t have an overpowering smell and meets most of the claims it states. So overall I would recommend this to others, and I would definitely wear it out if only it matched my skin tone. x

Tips: Use a makeup sponge or beauty blender rather than brushes- it gives a better, more flawless finish. x

Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream Oil-free S

I really enjoyed this product! I have oily skin very prone to breakouts so I cant use just anything on my skin. It has a thin consistency so it was very easy and fast to apply great for being a mum on the run. I also found it stayed on all day without getting that 'melting off' feeling! Still had a bit of trouble with the 'red spots' but over all it evened out my skin nicely. Packaging was simple and clear, small product to pop in the bag as you rush out the door! Would definitely recommend!

Tips: I applied twice, gave me a little more coverage and a more 'matte' look.

Suitably Impressed

I have to admit that I was a BB cream skeptic, I am a makeup user, loud and proud! Firstly, the cream blended well with my skin, went on nice and even, and I just used my finger tips to apply. I was surprised with the amount of coverage and just loved the luminous glowy look, which seemed to magically highlight my cheeks and hide under eye bags. Personally, I would prefer a slightly thicker consistency, but then it would be "makeup", right? I was also impressed with how it lived up to the claims on the pack of "minimising pores" and having a matte finish, no mean feat for a liquid product. In my opinion it's biggest flaw is it didn't seem to stick around all day, or through a gym session.

Tips: This product says for normal/combination skin, however has quite a noticeable effect of absorbing oil, and almost feeling dry and powdery (although that's not how it looks) I would say I have normal skin, and I liked to wear moisturiser underneath every second day or so, just to keep my moisture levels up, especially over winter. I'm also guilty of not always taking my makeup off at night, and I found doing that with this product helped some blemishes come to the surface. But maybe I should just get better habits :)

Water like consistency

This BB cream isn't that bad, but I prefer other asian BB cream I have tried as they have better coverage and does not have a runny water like consistency like this one. That is the only con I have about the Garnier BB cream and the fact the it is a little bit too dark for me. I have the lightest shade. I also noticed my face was less oily using this product.

Tips: Be careful of how much you squeeze out of the tube as a lot comes out with one squeeze.

Did what it said, but had to tweak it....

I was hoping this product would cover up my problem areas (dry t-zone & dark circles under my eyes) & act as a concealer under my make up & give my face a more even look on makeup free days.

As soon as I unscrewed the lid, the cream bubbled out but when I used the initial amount that came out, had to squeeze quite a bit to get any more out. This meant the cream is now spread around the top & lid.

I first used it on my day off, so was hoping it would subtly blend blemishes on my face. When worn by itself, wouldn’t rub in smoothly, didn’t blend - kinda applied streakily. Also because the label said to rub it in like moisturiser, I rubbed it over my eyes & man did it sting!

It was good for covering up blemishes but not so good on the dark circles under my eyes.

The consistency was creamy but as I found it didn’t spread terribly well when applied straight to skin, I tried using moisturiser as a base. This allowed it to go on pretty smoothly.

Wore it for the next few days on top of moisturiser & under my mineral foundation but decided it made my skin look slightly yellow. My skin tone is a hard one to find foundation matches for though.

Also was a bit hard to remove with my foaming make up remover - had to use my make up scrub to get the last of it off in the shower.

I would recommend this to a friend if it came in a better bottle for application & I’d pass along they need to prime with moisturiser first.

Tips: Use moisturiser first so it spreads nice & easily.

Be prepared for it to come straight out of the top when you unscrew the lid.

Less is more.

My Favourite BB Cream!

This stuff is amazing, I have tried about 6 or 7 other BB creams but I've found the keeper!

This BB cream is thinner in consistency than most BB creams but provides a nice level of coverage when applied with a brush, sponge or even your fingers. I also find a little bit goes a long way.

I have oily skin and the formula caters to that well, keeping the dewyness at bay until the evening. It has a pleasant fragrance that doesn't linger and holds well throughout the day even in warm weather.

I don't have sensitive skin but am prone to breakouts but find that this does not affect me! This may be to do with the oil-free formula.

The coverage is very good considering the consistency, it evens out my red patches and does a good job of shielding blemishes even before concealer.

The packaging is much more streamlined than the other Garnier BB creams, and i find the long thin bottle much more appealing as it fits more easily into my makeup bag.

With regards to price you can't really go wrong. I try to pick mine up when it's on special but find the RRP to be manageable, especially considering how much I like the product.

Overall I love this product, I think it's good value for money and great at doing what it says it does! It's easy to apply and long wearing. I would definitely recommend this to others who have been trialling other BB creams and are yet to find one for them.

Tips: I use a small amount of primer to help smooth out by base before applying, I find starting with a light base is fine for evening out tone and only building up in areas where you need a bit of extra coverage.
