Garnier Skin Perfector BB Cream Oil-Free Review

I was pleasantly surprised with this product. Packaging is nice and easy to use with a squeeze bottle. Product is very runny so you have to be careful you don't pore out half the bottle as you can put it back in. Feels like a thick moisturizer. I really liked the feel of it. I expected it to feel really thick but went on smoothly. I basically used my hands and applied as I do with moisturizer as I just wear bb on the weekends. I found that the shade was too light for the skin tone however the dark is too dark so they don't have shades to suit everyone. Coverage was really good and I was able to build up to give more coverage. I used a powder over top and it lasted all day. I even went to the gym and my face wasn't looking too shiny when I finished. I usually prefer a full coverage foundation during the day however this is great for the weekend and going away on holiday. Stayed on most of the day and definitely didn't make me oily.

I liked the consistency of this cream, it was not thick and gluggy and was easy to apply..it spread evenly and didn't feel like it was clogging up my pores. I have combination skin and I found that it was good at evening out my skin colour tone. I found it effective in covering blemishes and will continue to use it There was no fragrance as such and this was good for those sensitive to "smells" It spread well and you didn't need to use a lot at one time

I received this item in the lightest shade. It is safe to say this isn't light enough for my skin tone. It also has an orangey tinge to it which meant that it didn't suit my skin tone at all and it was quite obvious as I am very pale. The consistency was very runny which made blending it pretty easy and quick. The coverage wasn't too bad. It did help to conceal some blemishes but it was thin enough that you could still see subtle freckles which cover my face. I used a concealer that is perfect for my skin tone for correcting blemishes and as the base was orangey, it was really noticeable where my concealer was even with a lot of buffing. Its staying power was better than I expected. I used a translucent powder over top. It did get a little cakey when layered with other products. It also made things like blush and contouring really obvious so I had to start over using less products because it became a mess.

I tried Garniers BB cream last year and was not impressed my face felt greasy and heavy.Now having tried the product again in the oil free version I understand why everybody seems to love it. It is perfect for everyday wear because it is light and easy to apply.You receive the coverage without that caking feeling of foundation and leaves the skin feeling soft and healthy.Its a cheap alternative and will last a long time if used sparingly (still have mine from last year).It is make-up for the non make-up wearer.

I always need a foundation with good coverage due to my big pores and redness. I thought i would try the bb cream on my day off so i could keep an eye on how well it covered me. I was quite surprised how much coverage i did get from how thin and lightly it applied. I did have to reapply to my chin and cheeks every couple of hours and did get a bit shiny through out the day too. Definatly my go to make up for days at home but not enough coverage to wear to work. I like the big long tube also, its easy to find in my make up bag.

My two main criticisms of this BB cream is that the 'Light' shade isn't all that light. I wear NW13 in MAC Studio Fix and it was too orange for me. I had to work with the product on my neck to avoid orange splotches/foundation line. My second criticism is that the formula is very thin, thinner than most moisturisers. I guess it comes down to personal preference, but if you prefer a thicker BB cream/foundation, then this probably isn't the best product for you.

That being said, the BB cream did wear exceptionally well on my (oily) skin. It also did this without being too drying which, in winter, is very important. The product stayed on all day both with and without a setting powder. When I wore it without a powder there was naturally more of a shine to my face but nothing that was a major problem. It evened out my skin and covered my redness, it didn't cover blemishes but concealer fixed that. It also didn't wrinkle under my eyes which was a major plus. I also tried it out under MAC Studio Fix Fluid foundation and it held up extremely well. The foundation helped balance out the colour also.

Overall, I wouldn't re-purchase this product because I personally prefer a thicker BB cream but again that's just my preference. The colour might match me better in summer so I'll try it again later in the year.

This is my first time using a BB Cream and can i just say i absolutely love it. It is so easy to apply, the texture is very smooth and light gives me a flawless medium coverage without looking like a foundation. I love how it looks with everyday eyeshadow, eyeliner and mascara. Even without any other makeup it is great for just applying then starting your day. It gives a very natural appearance to my skin with the bonus of concealing any spots i don't like on my face. If you wanted a more fuller coverage you can just apply more. I have an oily t-zone so i was worried that shiny look would come thru without touching up with a powder, but this bb cream has exceeded my expectations and lasted me all day without having to apply anything so its a 10/10 for me :)

I have been looking for something for over a year that's not oily and this product has ticked all the boxes. It's so easy to use and the colour is a perfect match for me. This will definitely be in my make up bag from now on. Hope others enjoy this as much as I do!

I loved this BB cream, great coverage for a BB cream and managed to cover all my red spots. Not great coverage on my under eye area although good for a BB cream. The matte finish was perfect for my oily skin and managed to last the day. A little goes a long way so I know the BB will last me a while, I only use a pea size amount an that managed to cover my whole face! Blends really well using my foundation brush and almost instant matte coverage. I don't believe it helped clear my skin or prevent breakouts, although it did not cause any breakouts or make my skin worse. This BB is great if you are after a natural look as the coverage is great without being too thick. I would recommend only using a little bit. I did not need to use a powder after apply either. This product is well priced and I will definately continue to purchase this product. The packaging is not that appealing and I feel it needs to be much more simple without looking like an advertisement. I will defiately be recommending this as a great daily BB to girls with oily skin. Love this!!

I was excited to try this product and used it as soon as it arrived! I love the fact that it goes on easily and you can apply it with your fingers or a blender, it feels quite light on the skin. It does tend to come out of the tube very quickly and makes a bit of a mess in the lid, this maybe because it is quite a runny product. I used it on its on with two applications and it lasted all day at work, I found the medium color to be a perfect match to my skin tone and love the matte finish. I would recommend this to people that are looking for a light coverage but still one that covers imperfections
