GARNIER'S new BB Cream,  combats shiny, oily skin, by combining the power of ultra-absorbent mineral pigments for an immediate matte look and perfect, even-toned skin.

The oil-free BB cream works in five ways. It reduces imperfections, moisturises, gives skin a healthy glow, delivers a beautiful matte finish to skin and provides all-important sun protection with SPF 15.

GARNIER'S Oil-free BB Cream provides instant results while also improving the skin’s quality over time. After four weeks the results are clearly visible; skin is less oily, pores reduced in size, imperfections are visibly reduced and skin radiance is improved.

It has a  new active ingredient,  Mineral perlite - a powerful volcanic rock extract known for its ultra-absorbing properties.

Mineral perlite is able to retain up to two-and-a-half times its weight in oil and water and is five times more absorbing than talc, meaning any excess sebum is absorbed to fight that oily shine. This combined with uncoated mineral pigments gives the skin an even tone and a perfectly matte finish

GARNIER Miracle Skin Perfector-Oil-free BB cream is available in two shades - light and medium.

A Easy Foundation Fix for Summer

Having used the regular Garnier BB Cream in the past, I didn't know quite what to expect with this product. Upon first seeing it, I was very impressed at the size (40mL), which is larger than most of my foundations, though I did find that the colour I sampled (Light) is particularly yellow-toned. As a NW20 user, I would recommend this product to people with more olive skin, or perhaps for fellow fair-skinned beauties as a Summer product. I've used this product a variety of different ways, each with differing results:

* On its own: The product offers relatively impressive light-medium coverage for a drugstore product, and is easily buildable. Initially, too, the product appears extremely mattified on the skin, and feels very light. I wanted to test how the product faired without any extra help, and found that my skin showed signs of oil in the T-Zone after around four hours without any extra products. I also noticed it was quite easily transferred, especially in the more oily areas, so I would recommend at least a setting powder to prevent this, and to prolong the life of the product, if you've got particularly oily skin.

* As a make-up base: I found that the product worked nicely as a light foundation substitute. I don't need too much coverage on my cheeks or forehead, so I found that with concealer and my Smashbox Halo Powder over top, this product offered a nice, light foundation alternative, and lasted for the full day with sporadic touch-ups and re-powdering.

* With my foundation: My favourite way to use BB Creams is to mix them with my foundation, as I find that the combination makes my skin look even clearer and smoother. I found that this method worked well with the Garnier BB Cream, too, giving me some extra coverage and lasting as long as my makeup usually does (around eight hours with 1-2 touch-ups).

Compared to the regular Garnier BB Cream, I found that this product worked better with my oily skin, though I'm not so sure it achieves everything it claims on the box. I am also disappointed in the yellow-toned colour of the product, as it doesn't provide a perfect match for those with lighter or more pink-based skin tones. This product would provide a cheap alternative for a light summer foundation, provided it matches with your skin. While I will continue to use this product when I want an easy base for a supermarket trip (or the like), I'll probably be sticking to the other stand-out BB products I have found..

Tips: I use a soft, stippling brush to apply BB Cream. As with any BB Cream, I recommend you wait around half an hour before judging how it works with your skin. I find that my makeup base may look mediocre before leaving the house if I have used a BB product, but that, by the time I reach my destination, it looks incredible - give the product its time to develop! :)

Skin Perfector BB Cream

I like the slim packaging that it came in as it was nice and easy to slip into my makeup bag. It didnt really have to much of a smell to me which was nice as it was going all over my face. It was super easy to put on and sat well on my face but i thought i was a bit runny so you had to use more than i would expect. I was a nice matte finish which i love and it didnt make me look oily during the day. I have sensitive skin and this did not make me break out so i was super happy about that as almost all other BB Creams do make me break out. I gave a nice light coverage for light or no makeup days which i like to do once/ twice a week.

awesome product

I really liked this product. I have tried other BB creams and didnt like them at all. it doesnt feel like wearing makeup at all and provides more coverage than a tinted moisturizer. it lasted well during the day but if going out for night time i would reapply it, a little goes a long way. i really liked it.

Big oil free BB fan here!

I was very impressed with the oil free matte finish this gives, super happy to not have shiny patches at all during the day! In my opinion it definitely controls shine, I haven't noticed a reduction in my pores or any correction to my blemishes yet but I will continue to use it and see how it is after the four weeks. I found it did accentuate any dry areas I had which was annoying but as long as I moisturised first and then applied the BB cream they weren't as noticeable, and it reminded me why exfoliation is essential! I got a few comments about how good or nice I looked while wearing it, Im normally just a eyeliner, mascara and lip balm/gloss wearer so felt a bit 'made up' and over the top the first few times I used it and for the kindy and school runs but I liked that it was simple and easy and doesnt require anything other than your fingers to apply. The coverage is average, and if you have troublesome skin then the claim of "instantly perfect skin" is like a dream come true! My skin definitely looks better with this on than without, but if you are expecting huge results then you may be disappointed. As for the product itself I found it quite runny but easy to blend and good coverage without looking too cakey. I used it on its own without anything over top and liked how it evened out my skin. It didnt seem to wear off and I was in and out of the rain without having any streaks or bare patches. The smell is very faint, hardly noticeable at all, and I like the slimline tube it's in, makes it very portable and takes up hardly any space standing on my dresser, in the drawer or by the bathroom sink.

Great value for money and worth a try if you suffer from oily prone skin and prefer a more subtle makeup look

Tips: Moisturise and exfoliate regularly to minimise dry areas/patches. Blend it right out to hairline and right down your neck

One of the better BB creams

I have combination skin, it's oily in the T-zone, and dry around the edges. This makes for a difficult foundation choice. So I always appreciate when companies come out with a 'combination skin' version. I used Garnier BB Cream Miracle Skin Perfector - Combination to Oily Skin in Light/Clair. I found this BB Cream to be quite good actually. It's thick enough to provide good coverage, but still light enough to feel like you don't have much on. I find the colour blends in well to my skin tone, and I don't get the obvious line between my face and my neck. I do feel that this BB Cream is a bit on the dry side (being oil free), this may be better for ladies with slightly more oily skin than myself. I use quite a thick moisturiser prior to applying the BB Cream to combat this. Overall, this BB Cream is pretty good. It stays on most of the day (may need to reapply if going out at night), and feels light yet provides good coverage. For the price (I think it retails for about $18-20 in the supermarket), it's a really good option for a BB Cream. I would definitely recommend this to friends, who were after a nice light option for foundation!

Tips: If the cream gets stuck in your pores, tap your skin with the tip of your finger, and it will blend in.

Packaging needs a facelift

I squeezed it lightly for an initial swatch of the product on my hand but heaps of cream just oozed out... spillage aside, everything went ok for the swatching. First impression - nice tone (light) and though the cream is a bit more runny than my liking, I did not dismiss it straight away. I actually liked how it blended really well when I swatched it on my hand. On the face, a slight squeeze again on the tube made a lot of the cream oozed out. I found that I needed to use more in quantity than other BB creams I have tried. It leaves the skin even-toned & oil-free but that did not last long though. After 2 hours I found the skin a bit patchy and the parts I wanted to cover was showing up... I don't usually reapply BB cream half way through the day but I had to because I didn't look like I had anything on my face by midday and some red patches showed through.

Tips: Be extra careful when unscrewing the cap and when squeezing the product out. Put it in your handbag for reapplication throughout the day (if required).

Garnier BB cream

This BB cream has a light, watery consistency. I applied it with my fingers, real techniques buffing brush and a beauty blender. It was best applied with fingers. Buffing brush left some streaks and it took longer to buff out, beauty blender just absorbed the product and had to use more product to cover my whole face. I like that this BB cream did provide sheer- light coverage. It does even out my skin, but does not fully cover acne scarring, just blurs them a bit. The finish is a demi-matte - not very flat matte and gave my skin a slight glow. It felt very light on the skin. I can still notice my pores but the bb cream did not accentuate them. I did notice a very faint florally scent but not distracting at all and the smell goes right away. I wore this product everyday for work. It lasted for a good 8 hours (air-conditioned office). At 10 hours, I could really see my blush very patchy and T-zone shiny. I did not wear a primer as I normally wouldn't and I also did not powder. I have had the opportunity to wear the product out while doing errands on the weekend- it lasted 4-6 hours. This product also claims to be hydrating but for me it did not hydrate dry patches on my chin and nose but instead accentuated them more. I always use a separate moisturiser before I use any foundation/ bb cream and usually apply sparingly, but when I noticed dry patches, I applied more moisturiser the next day but the bb cream still did not work for me. I like that the packaging is a squeeze tube and is more hygienic and the lid is secure enough. The product is also small/light enough to just throw in your purse. As for its other claims, in one week, I have not noticed my pores reduced in size, my skin is not less oily either -just the same, and my acne scarring are still the same. I would recommend this to someone who has less imperfections who does not have much to cover. I also would recommend this to someone who has combo/oily skin but does not have a combination of too oily and too dry skin. I got this for free but its RRP is reasonable. For me however, I will not use the product again because I have a bit more to cover and I have some dry skin patches that I don't want accentuated.

Oil Free - Care Free

This was my first time using the Garnier BB Cream. I was sceptical to begin I must admit because I really just didn't believe the product would work as well as advertised. I was pleasantly surprised. This cream is definitely going to become a handbag essential and is going to be perfect in summer. I love the liquid consistency, its very easy to apply using your fingers but I found application came out smoother and more even using my usual sponge. The oil free was perfect for my skin, I naturally get quite oily through my T-section and chin and find a lot of foundation can make my skin even oilier and shiny. I loved that this gave me a smooth matte look. I wore this on the weekend as my full face cover with a bit of mascara and blush, I loved the fact I felt I had good cover but was not as heavy as my normal foundation and I still felt light and fresh. I also used it as a base coat for work with mineral powder over the top, the mineral powder just allowed a little heavier and longer wearing coverage. Colour worked well for my skin tone which is quite olive. Overall I really enjoyed this product and would not hesitate to invest the money now, I would also recommend it to my girlfriends without hesitation.

Tips: Apply with damp sponge - make application more even and easier Can be worn with a mineral over the top for evening or work wear.

Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream Oil-free S

This is a great product which I would definitely recommend to others. It has more of a thin, liquid consistency than I was expecting, so you need to be careful when opening the bottle and squeezing from the tube not to tip it directly down, as too much may run out. Because of its thin consistency it applies easily to your skin, and only a small amount is needed for full coverage. It matched my skin colour well, and had a dewey finish. It was great for a light coverage, but if you have any blemishes etc you want to cover you might want to add more than one layer. It felt nice and light on my skin, and has been improving my complexion over the last few days. My blemishes have been improving and my skin is feeling healthy, though long term results are yet to see! It is great for combination skin, as unlike some heavier creams/foundations it does not feel like there is too much build up on your skin.

Tips: This is perfect for a light daytime look, it has a quite a dewey finish so I would recommend lightly applying some mineral powder over the top if you prefer a matte finish.

Too dark for fair skin

I was really hoping this BB cream would be light enough for my NW10 skin but it was a couple of shades too dark and very yellow toned. The product has quite a thin consistency and stayed well on my face all day especially around my nose which often goes patchy. Dried quite quickly once applied (I just applied with fingers) and didn't go oily around my T-zone throughout the day. Smells a bit like sunscreen but it isn't noticeable once applied.
