Garnier Skin Perfector BB Cream Oil-Free Review

I loved this product!! I have fairly oily skin, especially at the end of the day, but this cream glides on smoothly, you use only a small amount of product and it stays in place all day. is my new fav! I am not one to wear a lot of makeup so this product is perfect for me. One down side was the tube, it seemed to ooze product into the lid once opened and dripped when you opened it. minor hassle. I just stored the wrong way up in a container.

There are definitely pro's and con's with this product. 2 shades in the colour range is pretty poor. I feel like the lightest shade looked waaay too orange on my skin tone. I could only get away with it if i fake tanned. On the other hand, I still tried this BB cream.. i just didn't go out of my house with orange skin. This BB cream is good for oily skin as the packaging says. But I would probably needed to touch up a bit as i do have slightly oily skin. the packaging is horrible the tip pours out the BB cream like a waterfall. The cap ends up being filled with the product and it becomes sooooo messy! The product claims that it has skin benefits, i saw no benefits on my skin. If anything it was just a matte tinted moisturizer. im still not fully convinced that this product is a BB cream.

This is a lovely light and creamy product which I will continue to use in the future. It gives me the colour I need without looking too fake, and stops my skin from drying out. I didn't have to use much product to do my whole face. It lasted all day and I've noticed my skin feels very smooth when I have it on. I have already recommended it to two friends!

Garner BB cream is fantastic. It gave me an all day clean, fresh, smooth, Matt finish on my face, covering my skins imperfections. It was very quick and easy to apply the cream. Which worked with my morning routine as I don't have a lot of time due to getting myself and the kids ready. The colour matched in with my skin tone and I never had to reapply at all during the day. I also liked the fact that it didn't have a strong scent. I will definitely be using this again as it has ticked all the boxes for me.

I tried applying this product with a few different brushes and with my hands. Hands probably worked the best - and this is what the instructions recommend anyway, as I found it was the best way to spread evenly and ensure it was absorbed well enough. This meant I was using quite a bit of product for each application which is more than I'm used to, but usually because of my skin, I am careful how much I use. It was definitely oil free! Never had a problem with shine or an oily feeling, however because I do have combination-oily skin, I found that the patches of my skin that are a tad drier really showed through. The coverage was good, it felt lightweight but looked nice and even. The only complaint I would have is how quickly it oxidises, as I was much more orange based than I would normally like, something which was definitely noticeable to others. I do have very light skin, but for a light colour BB cream I would have expected a slightly lighter shade, however you can't please everyone! I probably wouldn't wear this on a daily basis because I prefer very minimal makeup, however it would definitely suit for occasions where I was making a bit more of an effort!

I have oily skin, and this product worked great with my skin. Its lightweight, and easy to apply. Great coverage and good to use on its own. Has a nice matte finish. I did notice it has a strong smell of like an alcohol fragrance, and does feel tingly on my skin when i first apply then it goes away. This BB cream last for most of the day, and doesn't make my skin to oily. Packing is great, nice and slim. Helped with my covering my acne and reduces the redness. Overall great product i will be buying this and continue using it, and recommend it to friends also.

I have really enjoyed reviewing this product. I have recently been having issues with my skin and needed something that wasn't too oily. I can wear this all day and it still looks nice and fresh by the end of the day. It has just enough coverage to even out my skin tone but not too full that you can see you are wearing it.

Firstly, I have normal skin that is sometimes a teeny tiny bit dry around my cheeks and the smallest bit oily through my t-zone (mostly just on hot days). I have reasonably large pores across my cheeks, nose and chin. I don't get pimples but have a bunch of blackheads so I was pretty excited to try this BB Cream to see if it really does minimise my pores! I also have quite yellow undertones (I'm usually around about NC20 in M.A.C.) so I was a little sceptical about the colour of the cream when I opened it (it's the colour Fair).

My gut instinct was right - the colour is way off for my skin tone! It's quite pink-toned (i.e. it would better suit someone who is in the NW range in M.A.C.) so it made my skin look quite muddy. This is part of the reason why I gave it a 1-lippie rating for the "Would you use it again?" section. I didn't wear it out of the house but I did persevere!

I really don't like wearing it without moisturiser underneath as it's far too drying for my skin. For someone with oily/combo skin I think it would be fab though! I guess having dry-ish skin to start with doesn't go particularly well with the BB cream's ultra-mattifying effect which, I must say, it does VERY well! I've never tried anything (apart from a Bourjois Mousse Foundation a couple of years ago) that creates such a smooth, velvety finish! I really liked this aspect of the cream :) it blurred any uneven skin tone, MOSTLY but not completely minimised my pores and I just wanted to touch it all day! So delicious.

One thing I couldn't make myself love, though, was the astringent scent of the cream. Having dry-ish skin makes me super wary of anything astringent/full of alcohol so even though the smell faded after about 20 minutes and it didn't make my skin react, it didn't exactly make me feel like I was taking the best care of my skin. After wearing it for 6 days, my skin is drier than usual and I've had a couple of whiteheads crop up on my cheek and jawline (which is really unusual) and this is the only part of my diet/beauty regime that's changed.

It works best on its own or with a little bit of concealer. I did try it under my Smashbox Studio Skin Foundation and under my Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation and I didn't like either combination! I think just because the BB cream is so matte it's quite difficult to blend/get a nice even coverage with foundation over top.

I did like that you don't need to use a lot to get good coverage, so a 40mL bottle would last quite a while, and at a very reasonable price it would be so worth it! Also having the SPF15 is good, but I'm a sun-care obsessive so I'd love it if it was at least SPF20.

It washes off easily when I want it to, but stays on well throughout the day, even when I'm doing exercise or out in the wind and rain!

I won't be repurchasing as it's not right for my skin, but if you have oily/combo skin and are looking for a BB cream with decent coverage that's good value for money, then this would be perfect :)

I used this for about 4 days - applying with both stippling brush and fingers. It applies easily both ways. It is very very runny - to the extent that when I lay it on its side, it started dribbling all over my vanity. In that sense though, a little goes a long way, and it is not very heavy, so you just have to be careful when handling it.

I think it provides nice coverage - but has maybe a hint too much colour. I am quite pale, so it is difficult for me to find things that do not make me look orange. It does add a nice amount of healthy colour to my face, but is kind of borderlining on orange, so I was only able to use a light amount to avoid looking tacky.

The coverage is decent - I had to use concealer for a few pink spots, but it does a nice job at evening complexion.

Personally I found it left my skin somewhat shiny. Not in an oily way, just in a "my makeup hasn't set" way. Some people might like it as a glow, but I am used to having a more matte complexion. A pat of powder was enough to fix that.

I do think it's great that it has SPF 15, although I wouldn't rely on it solely for your SPF due to the amount you'd need to apply to get proper protection.

The tube is a great size, and I feel like it's going to last me a long while due to how far it goes. I wouldn't buy it to use again because it is not a great colour match for my pale skin, but it's nice enough to use up.
