GARNIER'S new BB Cream,  combats shiny, oily skin, by combining the power of ultra-absorbent mineral pigments for an immediate matte look and perfect, even-toned skin.

The oil-free BB cream works in five ways. It reduces imperfections, moisturises, gives skin a healthy glow, delivers a beautiful matte finish to skin and provides all-important sun protection with SPF 15.

GARNIER'S Oil-free BB Cream provides instant results while also improving the skin’s quality over time. After four weeks the results are clearly visible; skin is less oily, pores reduced in size, imperfections are visibly reduced and skin radiance is improved.

It has a  new active ingredient,  Mineral perlite - a powerful volcanic rock extract known for its ultra-absorbing properties.

Mineral perlite is able to retain up to two-and-a-half times its weight in oil and water and is five times more absorbing than talc, meaning any excess sebum is absorbed to fight that oily shine. This combined with uncoated mineral pigments gives the skin an even tone and a perfectly matte finish

GARNIER Miracle Skin Perfector-Oil-free BB cream is available in two shades - light and medium.

GARNIER Miracle Skin Perfector-Oil-free BB cream

I found this cream very light and easy to apply, i used it as a base and then applied my powder on top, and found it worked quite well, would use this product again, didn't have any bad smell either. It worked really well with my skin and did not have oily skin when it was on.

Tips: Just don't squeeze the tube to hard as it is a bit runny.

Garnier bb cream

The BB cream I trialed wasn't that great, firstly, the container made all the BB cream leak, and the cream was too liquidy. I really liked the smell. The texture was too liquidy and made my skin very oily, even though it was meant to be oil free. It didn't really help my blemished skin, but it was really nice as a concealer and not as a cream for all over my face. The price is really good for what I got. My tube leaked all over my parcel and made my jeans yuck because the consistency and bottle was very horribly thought and had to put it in a different container so I could control it. It is very easy to apply and it lasted me very very well.

Tips: Use a beauty blender as it makes application much better.

Pretty good all rounder

I thought over all this was a pretty good bb cream. I have previously used the loreal bb cream and liked it but it didn't come in an oil free variety

So my review

Colour- was a really good natural colour that wasn't to yellow or pale I happily just wore the BB cream on it's own with a bit of mascara.

Application- it went on really easy and was a nice smooth finish. 1 coat was good for a nice light coverage that felt breathable. I used my Napoleon auto pilot first but that's more because I'm a creature of habit you could get away without a primer. The only downside I found was with the tube itself the BB cream sort of drips out so there's not really any reason to squeeze the tube, the issue I had with this is tht the end got a bit mucky and you kind if need to wipe the end off before putting the lid on otherwise when you opened it again it would be all over the end.

Wear- I found the BB cream looked great when first applied a overall wore pretty well except for my problem area around my nose which tends to be my oiliest spot. After a few hours it did look a little patchy and need a touch up. I did find if I applied the bb cream twice it wore better but this did look like a heavier coverage.

Overall though it is a pretty good product, one of the things I liked the most is that my skin didn't feel yucky when I took it off.

Tips: -wipe of the tip before putting the lid in to avoid mess - mixes well with your normal foundation which can be great for a slightly lighter coverage for a night out - apply with fingers blends better then a foundation brush

Garnier BB Cream - Oil Free

Id just like to start off my review with saying thank you to BR for giving me the opportunity to review this product in the shade light. I have combination skin , dry areas around my nose , in between my eyebrows and just below my eyes. I also get oily on my fore head and chin. Some products seem to cling to my skin in the dry areas and this BB cream did just that ! but next time , i used a primer before hand and it seemed to make it a little better ! but were i am oily it looked good! The consistency is really watery and goes every where! every time i open the tube there is product all over the lid, that does not impress me. I feel like a lot of product would get wasted over time! Day one; I tried using my fingers first to see how it would apply and it dried really quick , so i had to keep adding more and i felt it didn't go on even when applying that way. The next day i applied it with my real technique expert brush, it applied smooth and looked more even than my fingers ! i also used primer , the primer made the BB cream go on smoother. So for the rest of the week i kept using the expert brush and primer. I did not like the smell at all! it smelt like the alcoholic drink Mud shake, but once you put it on your face you don't smell it. This BB cream is defiantly light coverage! i have a little bit of redness on my cheeks and also on my chin, it didn't do to well with covering them up. I did try to build it up but after applying the 2nd layer it went very yuck and cakey , so id recommend just using a concealer. I found this BB cream is quite matte rather than dewy. It lasted on my skin for about 4 hours before looking patch and just yuck! It's okay for a home BB cream or even just going out for a few hours , but if you were going out for the whole day with this i wouldn't recommend it but that could just be my skin . The packing does not work for how runny it is , the other Garnier BB creams all have different packaging. It would be better for it to be like those ones as it would be easier to get out of the tube and it wouldn't go every where! On the packet it says that it will ; reduce pores but my pores were still the same? I did like that it was SPF 15 but i still think you would need to wear sun screen underneath as it wears off quite fast. After using this product for seven days , i would not buy it because i have other BB creams for the same sort of price that do a better job. I didn't like the smell , i found the tube and how runny it was just annoying. I wouldn't recommend it to a friend.

Tips: Try to use a primer before the bb cream.

Pretty Good!

So I received this product in Medium. First impression was that it was pretty runny, and I was worried the coverage wouldn't be that great. It also has a light fragrance which I actually found quite pleasant. That also worried me a little about how it would react with my sensitive skin as I get eczema on my face with some products. When I applied it for the first time, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! It had great coverage, evened out my skin tone amazingly well, and made my redness disappear totally! At first I did put a mineral powder foundation on top, but found that by lunchtime my face was pretty oily and shiny. I wasn't sure if it was the product doing that, the mix of the two products or if my skin just hated them both on it together. After a couple of days of this, I then omitted the mineral powder and just used the BB cream. I found this controlled the shine for a little longer, but by 2ish I was still getting pretty oily-looking again. Up until now, I had been cleansing and adding a moisturizer right before application, so I decided to let my moisturizer absorb for a while before applying the BB Cream....and WOW. What a difference!! I'm sure I got even better results by doing this! I still get the shine from late afternoon now though, but it's just a little shine, I don't look like someone sprayed my face with canola oil, so I can live with that! I have also had no skin reaction to this at all. I'm totally converted and have stopped using my mineral powder completely and just use this as my foundation.....I will definitely be buying more of this once I run out.

Tips: 1 - DO NOT get it in your eyes.....it stings!! 2 - A little goes a long way 3 - You probably don't need to use a moisturizer before applying this, but if you do, give it time to absorb first.

Oily and blotchy

I have oily acne-prone skin and was asked to review this product by BR and was excited to see how well it would cover my skin (I got the light shade).

Texture: really runny and felt oily to apply. As soon as I opened the tube the bb cream came running out which was a bit of a turn off. The first time I used this I applied the product straight onto my skin without a moisturizer using my fingers to apply and blend, and it went on easier using my fingers because of being so runny and seemed to blend alright. I was in a bit of a rush so didn't apply powder or anything over top and went for a run afterwards and it lasted surprisingly well. There was no wear or shine, however my skin looked blotchy and felt oily.

The other days used I applied with a foundation brush and used a oil free moisturizer underneath. It claims to give an even tone but my skin again looked blotchy, dark and just felt really oily! My skin became more oily using this bb cream than any other and I was disappointed with the coverage, I was no where near to having a good complexion and just looked and felt awful on my skin.

By comparing the two different ways I used this, there wasn't really any noticeable difference but because for me the product feeling oily, I prefer to use a really good moisturizer to soak up all that extra oil.

You can't really use this product by itself because it doesn't provide much coverage but I definitely wouldn't use this again anyway or recommend to others, I'd much rather spend my spare money on a bb cream that works for my oily skin. It would be great to say something nice about this bb cream but I just can't.

BB Cream Oil Free

This arrived and I was excited to try it as my skin is crazy and even though it can be dry it also is oily by the end of the day. First impressions was that it was packaged nicely. Slim sleek tube that I liked. The product itself was quite runny and spilt a bit. The formula glides over the skin but 'dries' quite fast and really 'grabbed' to my drier areas and looked flaky. Not moisturising at all so I had to use extra moisturiser before applying again the next day. I exfoliated really well another day to get rid of all drier bits and then applied this BB cream but since I exfoliated I needed a lot of moisturiser then the BB cream sat nicely but y the end of the day I had a slight sheen but nothing major. So I would definitely recommend this to an oily skinned person, not combination at all as it grabs on any dry skin present. OR really well exfoliate and moisturise any dry areas before applying.

Tips: Really well exfoliate and moisturise any dry areas before applying if you are a combination/oily skin type.

Ehhhhh

I've applied this with both a brush and my fingers, and had trouble getting it to sit evenly on my skin with both methods. Despite my brush leaving visible brushstroke marks on my face, the BB cream itself didn't offer very good coverage at all. I will admit I like a full coverage product but this did little to even out redness or cover blemishes.

The description of this product states that it gives the skin 'a healthy glow', but also providing a matte finish. I'm not quite sure how these things can both be true at once. I would describe the finish as a true matte so if you do like a low coverage, matte product, this may be for you.

Very bad. Very sad.

This product says that it will give you "flawless skin" but it doesn't. BB creams are never going to give full coverage, so leaving you with flawless skin is basically never going to happen. It did cover some redness but because it wasn't full coverage the red on my cheeks was still obvious. It didn't cover my pimples (which I expected) and it was patchy when I applied. I tried using it with primer underneath and it helped slightly with the application but it still involved a LOT of buffing to try to get the formula to move. The formula dries super quick so involves a lot effort to get it to sit right. It also catches on any dry patches you might have - that doesn't look so hot, let me tell you.

I was sent the shade in medium and if this is the darkest shade Garnier has decided to put out, this is appalling. I have fair to olive skin so this will in no way cater to people with even remotely dark skin.

The one redeeming feature of this product was that it didn't seem to oxidise as much as I thought it might. One of the downsides is that it starts slipping off my face after a couple of hours. After 5 hours most of the product has melted. I needed to powder it in place to make it last longer (this only ended up being about an hour longer than no powder).

I felt like it didn't live up to it's expectations at all, especially the absorbing oil part. (FYI: Perlite is a non-renewable resource so I feel really weird about putting it on my face) In terms of making my face glow, nope. It also failed to absorb oil. My face wasn't left matte - I had to add powder to make that happen. It possibly moisturised but my skin didn't feel any different afterwards. It did feel like I was wearing foundation though - my face felt cakey and it smelt gross. The product literally stinks which is a real problem.

Also it advertises itself as having SPF in it, but realistically the amount you would get from using this product is no where near enough to protect you in NZ. You would still need sunscreen underneath, especially in summer.

Over all this product was awful. I would not recommend it, will not re-purchase it, and in fact am going to throw mine out. It does nothing it says it will except make you feel like no one is gonna want to pash you because your face smells gross. Very sad.

Tips: My tip is to not waste your money on this product. Seriously.

Garnier BB Cream Oil-free Review

This product is fantastic. I struggle with a super oily T zone while the rest of my face is sometimes dry. Applying the BB cream after cleansing in place of a foundation will keep the oil at bay until the evening. It's easy to apply and blends well, leaving a radiant matte finish that gives my skin a healthy glow. It's relatively cheap and only a small amount is needed, making it well worth the money. It's packaging is quite bland but when the product itself is so great who really cares! This BB cream evened out my blotchy skin tone and, when combined with powder, provided a full face coverage that lasted all day. I would definitely recommend this to anyone not keen on a heavy foundation but who still needs some coverage.

Tips: Using the BB as a base and applying powder on top gave a healthy, radiant finish that lasted all day.
