Garnier Skin Perfector BB Cream Oil-Free Review

I have really, really oily skin, and this is the best BB cream for it that I've tried so far. I'm pale but not super pale and it suits me quite well.

It has quite a thin consistency, so it makes it quite hard to control how much product comes out. However, it applies and blends really well on the skin. It's quite sheer to start off with, but is easily build-able. It covers my imperfections, but is still sheer enough that you can still see my freckles (which I like).

I apply it with a mattifying primer and the powder before foundation method, and that combination seems to control any oiliness quite well. Normally, no matter what I do or what products I use, I end up looking like a giant oil slick, so this is quite refreshing!

It does wear off quite a lot by the end of the day, but that could be because I don't use very much.

I found this BB cream quite thick. It was good because a light layer gave a good effect, however, I found sometimes I couldn't get it as sheer as I wanted. The thickness was strange as it was constantly also leaking out of the product if you put it down without the lid on!

I applied it with my fingers, and had no problems with that. I tend to apply a little more under my eyes to brighten my face, and it works really well for that. It wasn't cakey or flakey.

I thought it did a great job of helping to control oil on my face (usually after a couple of hours after applying BB cream/foundation, my face gets quite shiny). This would last the day with only a slight shine on my nose and forehead.

I found it was great and didn't rub off on clothing or pillow cases, and it felt like my skin could breathe. All in all, I really liked this product.

This product has a watery texture, although it offers a surprising amount of coverage, I'd say light to medium, and it is buildable - i applied an extra layer to my undereyes and acne scarring and didn't look cakey. I have acne prone combo skin (very oily in the tzone with occasional dry patches). It didn't emphasize my dry patches and lasted well when I wore it alone. I wouldn't use or recommend this as a primer/base for foundation as it made my foundation melt off my face before 4 hours wear which doesn't tend to happen with a good primer.

The packaging is fine, although I find the product just spills out, even if you don't squeeze it, so I can see it being a bit messy, but not so seriously that I wouldnt use it again.

This has great coverage and is lightweight (it seriously feels like you are not wearing anything) but unfortunately this made me break out with a bit of really sore acne, so this isnt a product I would be wearing every day but on the odd occasion as I do like the other results.

I absolutely recommend this product to anyone who isn't prone to breakouts as it is a great everyday product. I've already recommended this to my friend who uses the other garnier bb cream.

Love this product so much. It's so easy to apply and makes your skin flawless like your wearing makeup but without the heaviness that foundation has.

I have the usual T zone issues with a bit of dry skin around the frame of my face. I also have lots of freckles. The Garnier BB cream was a very fluid consistency, very light but not too watery. It wasn’t thick and cloying like some liquid foundations. It’s easy to apply. Pretty much the same as you would put on your moisturiser. You can apply with a foundation brush for heavier coverage. It didn’t have much of an aroma so no unpleasant smells. Depending on your application you could have quite a sheer cover or a bit heavier to cover any blemishes. I’m not big on heavy foundation so I used a moderate amount of the cream. It gave a very smooth even cover that still let my freckles show through just enough. When first applied it gave great matte coverage but I found that my oily zones would start to come through by lunchtime. By the end of the day I found it had mostly worn off. I also used the BB cream as a base for a mineral powder and found that it lasted quite a bit longer with this combo. It’s a reasonably priced product, some I have seen for a lot more so pretty good value. The packaging is simple and yet tells the consumer what they need to know at a glance.

I thought that this product was great. I would recommend it to many people and it's even better because it has an SPF, making it perfect for in the summer time as well. It's light on my skin but provides a natural perfecter to any blemishes. I would recommend this product to all.

Overall I found this to be a good product that I will use again but like anything it did have its pro's and cons. Pros. The product itself is quite a runny consistency which made it very easy to apply. The coverage was very good for a BB cream. I have super oily skin and this did a very good job at keeping the oil under control when using a powder. Cons - Although I got the lightest colour it was still too dark for me. Might be OK in the summer but if you are very fair like me (NW15) this might not be the product for you. Although I have very oily skin this actually looked very dry and flaky towards the centre of my forehead. I found this very unusual because it definitely wasn't dry and I used two of my regular foundations while I was trialling this and they did not cake, it has also never happened with any other product so remains a mystery to me. Overall is a decent product and is good value for money.

I am a big fan of BB creams as they give great coverage and are also great for your skin! I have tried many and I can confidently say that the Garnier BB cream is my absolute favourite! It gives great coverage and makes your face feel and look so smooth with out looking orange and cakey. I also love how affordable it is. I have already recommended it to many and my sisters love it too! Highly recommend! :)
