Garnier Skin Perfector BB Cream Oil-Free Review

I have very oily skin so I was excited to receive this product. I found the texture of the liquid itself to be silky and very fluid. Once applied on clean bare skin (no moisturizer) I felt as if the product was absorbing all possible moisture and felt like my skin was being robbed of moisture. Despite that it went on nicely. It has a very sheer coverage, yet has just enough pigment to help blur redness etc. It sets to a matte finish that still has a glow to it One plus is unlike many other matte finish products it does not draw attention to fine peach fuzz hairs.

Coverage is very buildable Has no nasty smell like some other bb creams.

From my experience this product lived up to what it claimed it would achieve such as minimise my pores, cover any imperfections, and provide a good coverage for an even looking complexion with a matt finish that lasts throughout the day.

I only trialled the product for one week so cannot comment on whether it would actually reduce the overall pore size (but I doubt it would make a difference as generally this is a permanent condition), however, it certainly refined the appearance of my pores while wearing the product.

The texture of the product is lightweight and somewhat runny so a little bit of product goes a long way and since it is highly pigmented it provides a really good coverage for a BB cream.

It would be a great product for someone with oily skin as I found my skin felt a little bit tight and dry wearing it just on its own so tried applying it following my moisturiser which worked like a treat. With the arrival of winter my skin is currently more dry combo than oily combination skin as it tends to fluctuate with the seasons.

The product comes in a handy tube packaging that you could easily keep in your handbag for touch ups during the day or after the gym etc. The box is covered in marketing material that informs you about everything you need to know about the product and has some helpful tips too!

The other added bonus is that it has a UV protection of SPF 15 and with its oil free texture it can work well as a base for makeup and then you only need to apply foundation or concealer in the areas required.

Useful to wear under foundation to give it even more coverage, I would wear this with a moisturiser and primer first to ensure the best finish. Using a foundation brush to apply gives a nice even (slightly thicker) coverage. The colour isn't quite right, I guess I picked the wrong one! But with so few colours to choose from, it is understandable that it won't suit everyone. Wish there were testers at the store for this! I have noticed they don't seem to provide them... Wears a little during the day and doesn't quite cover larger pimple scars, but covers redness & pores relatively well.

Overall I was happy with this product, I definitely prefer this to the regular one as I felt like my skin looked extremely oily with the regular version and this one not at all.

I also preferred this packaging to the regular one as the slim packaging was more aesthetically pleasing.

I used this over top of primer and it stayed on well throughout the day. The colour was good and blended in to my skin colour really well which I was sirprised about becasue i thought it would be too dark for my skin.

I was also very happy about the thin consistency, I would like to use BB creams on my "no make up" days so I would prefer not to use something thick because I feel I could just wear my normal foundation.

Something I really liked about this product is that it is SPF 15, I like to protect my skin from the sun and it makes me think that this would be a really good product to wear in summer.

Overall I thought the product was good for the price.

I really liked using this product it was easy to apply and looked great. It was light weight on my skin. Flawless when first applied but I did find by the end of the day my skin was slightly oily. This wouldn't put me off using it But I may only use it as a weekend product when it doesn't matter if it doesn't last the day.

Firstly I must say I was pleasantly surprised by this BB Cream. I was dubious to begin with as I have not had much luck with Garnier in the past. But one should not judge a product by bad experience with a brand.

The packaging is simple and clean. However the product does leak into the lid which can make it slightly messy. I am not sure if this is just a fault with my tube though.

The consistency is very thin and watery with little to no smell which I liked.

I used a flat top brush to apply and also my fingers to see the difference. Both applications were really even and it didn't take much product to cover redness and any little blemishes.

I really like the look and feel on the skin. Its very light weight and smooth without oiliness which was just what I needed in my T and oilier areas on my face. I found that this BB cream did settle into lines and any dry patches (thanks winter) after a few hours. And I could not wear it for longer then 5-6 hours before it needed some love.

Overall I did like this product. I will continue to use it as an easy alternative to a full face for uni and lazy days.

I am unsure if I would purchase this product in Winter as I have dry patches. But in Summer it would be on the list.

This product covered really well for only being a foundation. It smoothed out the fine lines and made you look more refreshed. Applying it was easy and you didn't get streaky lines and blended around the neckline well. The look after applying looks great. I found it to have really good water proofing and could tell you wouldn't end up with streaks on a rainy day which i find fantastic with the unpredictable New Zealand weather. Although i really liked the look i found later in the day i would get a bit shiny and i do not like that look personally (just due to being past the age of wanting to look shiny and youthful). Overall it is a great product just not for me.

Wow what an incredible product. I've had acne since I turned 13 but since I started using this Bb cream it has just about made it disappear, my skin tone has evened out, my pore size has really diminished and I no longer have oily skin! And that's a huge feat. I have found that I did have to apply a light layer of moisturiser under the Bb cream otherwise it dried my t zone out just a bit too much, but that is the only negative part. I really do love this product and will be buying it again and again very much worth the small amount at the checkout.

The consistency of this product was extremely runny making it hard to get the right amount. It was easy to apply however didn't have great coverage.it lasted up to four hours six at the most. My skin did seems clearer and softer after using it for a week. I have a sensitive pale skin complexion and my skin did not get agitated from this product. All up I wasn't very impressed with this product however I would recommend it to someone who had clear skin and just wanted a little bit of tint.

First and foremost I am always on the hunt for the perfect BB cream - they are just so handy! Especially on days you are in a hurry or going for a more natural look.

I have tried 4 other BB creams prior to the Garnier BB cream - and I would rank Garnier as the third best BB cream I have tried.

Combats shiny, oily skin for an immediate matte look - I would not agree with that, but in saying that. I do have oily skin myself and have yet to find something that can battle oily skin ALL DAY. Upon first application there is a nice velvety feel afterwards.

Pigmentation - pretty good, I did find that this BB cream gave me a good glow and even coverage. And you are able to build it up slightly.

Consistency - quite consistency but as mentioned above, pretty good pigmentation.

Fragrance - a little sunscreeny, but I guess that's what you would sort of expect for a drugstore BB cream with an SPF element to it.

Colour - I received "light" and I thought that was a great match. But also keep in mind you can set with powder as well etc if you prefer more coverage.
