I was a little bit apprehensive to try this BB cream as I have tried the other Garnier BB cream for normal skin and found it so greasy and very orange looking but I was so surprised when I first put this BB cream on as it didn't look orange on me whatsoever and gave me the perfect amount of coverage without looking like I was wearing a face full of make up, I also found I didn't need to set this with a setting powder as it's a matte finish. Usually half way through my work day I start to get shiny in my t-zone and my make up rubs off around my nose but I was happy to see that after a full day at work my face looked like I'd just applied my make up with no trace of oily skin or a red nose to be seen! The formula of the product is great, wasnt a big fan of the smell of the product as I was applying it but it's the only negative I have about this product. I'm definitely going to be repurchasing this product when it runs out which should be ages away as it only requires a small amount of product to cover my entire face!

Tips: Use a damp beauty blender or a flat top kabuki to get the best, even coverage from this BB cream.
I was not very impressed with this BB cream. My skin can get very oily and I was expecting this to work really well and stay matte all day like it advertises. However, it lasted about 3 hours max until it began to smudge, even with a primer on.
It has quite a runny consistency, and quite a lot of product is needed compared to the size of the tube. I applied it both with my fingers and with a foundation brush, and I found the foundation brush worked better as I found it to give better coverage this way. However, like I said before it only lasted a few hours before it began to run. It has medium coverage, and after application it does dry to a matte finish. It also doesn't have much of a smell.
The packaging is rather boring and could be more exciting than a beige colour, but this isn't a big deal. It does include the information about the product. This BB cream is fairly cheap, but I believe pricier ones might work better and last longer than this did.
I don't think this product worked as well as I was expecting it to and this was rather disappointing. It does not really do what it says it does. I would likely recommend this to a friend who does not have such oily skin because it may work for them, but it did not for me.
I am a fan of BB creams for I find them kinder to the skin compared to foundation. I have an oily combination and acne prone skin and I have found this BB cream to be soft on my skin. The product is very watery similar to a liquid foundation which made is very easy to apply and easy to blend. I use a sponge to apply this product and it goes on smoothly. The effect on my skin is pretty good, it made my skin glow however the coverage is only sheer, it actually appears like a silhouette on skin like a second skin, although it did cover my spoty blemishes, it wasn't enough to cover the redness on my face. It doesn't make my face look cakey even if I re-applied twice. The end effect is still smooth and glowy. I found this product to be not drying and also it has quite a good matte effect, concealing my shiny nose and t-zone. There is no particular smell that I have noticed. This product lasts for a good 4 hours then it starts to fade away. I find the packaging very easy to open and easy to use just a tube that is easy to screw off the lid. Although I have a feeling that it may leak in the long run due to the watery consistency of the BB cream.
Tips: Open carefully due to the watery consistent and apply with a sponge.
I usually don't get the palest tone of any skin products so I asked for medium shade this time - turns out I should have gotten light haha. I've been wanting to go tan for a while now so this was fun to try! The medium tone is really nice ~ not orange and not grey, just perfect! The coverage was thicker than I expected (the bb cream came out of the tube quite runny). The coverage was thicker than I would expect from a BB cream, so you can actually use very little each application or build it up! The product does get powdery and doesn't last the whole day, but compared to other bb creams I've used, it's only a bit below par. After using this product my skin doesn't feel any drier or worse in any way, so that's a definite plus! For this price it's worth buying I think :)
Tips: Shake well before use!!
Firstly the tube shape it comes in looks great but when you take off the lid it is a bit runny and comes out by itself, firstly I tried this product by itself, I chose the medium shade as I do with other bb creams but by itself with nothing underneath it came out a little to dark for my skin tone but after a little while settled down but wasn't as easy to smooth onto skin and lasted maybe half a day,the next day I used my garner face moisturiser underneath and I found the bb cream went on so much better and I needed less product, I apply with my fingers which works great for me,it has great coverage light to medium but my skin is pretty good anyway, it took away any redness I did have and the finish looked smooth and even and was a matte like finish,it lasted all day and along with the moisturiser my skin felt moisturised and really nice,the colour matched great when I used it with the moisturiser I would definately keep using it as it makes my skin look flawless
Tips: I found using a moisturiser underneath made the end result a lot smoother and flawless and lasted longer
So I'll be honest, this is actually the first time I've ever used a BB cream on myself. Having very oily and sometimes problematic skin, the thought of using a sheer dewy product hadn't really appealed.
But I was pleasantly surprised with this offering from Garnier. I tried it 3 different ways to see which would give me the best finish and the longevity I so desperately seek. First up I trialled it on bare freshly cleansed skin with no moisturiser underneath. But I found this left my skin still feeling a little dehydrated and towards the end of the day my skin began to over compensate leaving me needing to use a little blot powder to get rid of the pesky shine. The coverage is really impressive for a BB cream, hiding redness and evening out the majority of my skin, I personally prefer a slightly more flawless look so still used my concealer over the top to achieve this.
Next up I used the BB cream with my usual moisturiser underneath, but this led to my skin looking and feeling very oily in just a few hours. Lastly I used it in conjunction with a Garnier primer, this was the winning combination for me. No moisturiser just primer onto a clean face then the BB cream applied all over with a foundation brush. My skin looked fresh and healthy and lasted most of the day before I had to apply any powder through the hot spots.
I like that it has little to no fragrance and that it comes in a handy tube so is nice and hygienic to use. It has me converted, although I'm not sure I would describe it as a matte finish, I would think of it as more of a demi-matte as it gives the skins a beautiful healthy sheen.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to find a more natural alternative to a heavy matte foundation that can end up looking cakey and flat on the skin. It's nice to know you don't have to loose out in the coverage department to look less made up.
Tips: I found it worked better with a primer underneath and while it's easily applied with your fingers, I liked to use it with a foundation brush to ensure an even finish. I chose the medium shade, as I'm an olive complexion, but it is about half a shade to dark due to it being winter. But because it's easily smoothed out it actually warms my skin tone up nicely without looking silly.
My skin type is normal to oily, so I usually get bb creams specifically for oily skin as that is my only skin concern. The consistency of this bb cream is think compared to others I've tried. I applied it first with my fingers then with a Beaty blender and I prefer to use it with my fingers and work it into the skin like a moisturiser, and it gave light to medium coverage. I used it with concealer and a powder on top as the finish of the bb cream itself isn't very matte. It lasts a great amount of time, about 7 hours on me with a powder on top. I don't use a primer with any face products because I haven't found one I like yet. I love the packaging, it's easy to get the product out and it is aesthetically pleasing. Overall, I really like this product, it's the best bb cream I've used and is perfect for oily skin. It has a really good coverage for a bb cream and it has a pleasant smell that isn't too noticeable. I would recommend this to anyone with oily skin.
Tips: I found it gave the best coverage when applied with my fingers, it's good to set with a powder to get extra wear out of it.
I received the Garnier BB Cream from Beauty Review on Wednesday 18th of June, I am a BB newbie so I was pretty much excited to try this product. I have been using this product non stop for 10 days now I really like the texture of it how it glides on smoothly on to your skin and it doesn't feel sticky or dewy nor does it look and feel heavy on your skin, it really gives a great matte finish (I would personally say that this is a better product than my actual foundation because foundation can feel heavy whereas this BB cream feels light like you have nothing on which is great), I have a few breakouts from my T.O.M (Time Of the Month) so the coverage is not as great as what I was expecting,but what I have been doing is applying concealer on to stubborn areas before I apply so that when I put on the BB cream it becomes less visible. I really like that it has reduced and improved my oily skin and has minimised the appearance of pores so it works great in this area and I also really liked the natural coverage it has given me. By reading the back of the box it says after 4 weeks imperfections are visibly reduced so hopefully because I have only been using this product for 10 days straight hopefully it will help reduce the appearance of my acne marks and improve my skins natural radiance.
Tips: My tip would be to use less as possible if you want to look natural try not to use as much, the more u apply the more darker and noticeable the product can be seen. So its pretty much like how you would wear your make-up less is best =)
The colour was too dark as I thought I wouldn't suit the lighter shade. Cream itself was runny and easily spread across my face so you don't need to apply a lot. Was easy to blend it with a flat top brush, did cover the redness on my cheeks and did give my skin a even tone and a matte finish. Wasn't too heavy on my skin, felt just like moisturiser. Did last a while, after some time the colour sort of settled down and the darkness of it was not as noticeable compared to my neck. Wasn't full coverage, did not manage to fully cover my freckles and blemishes.
I was lucky enough to be sent a trial sample of the Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB cream for Combination to oily skin. I have quite oily skin so this was the one best suited to me. The consistency of this product is quite runny, so you need to be careful with it. But the tube is nice and slim-line so it would fit into your handbag really easily and the tip of the tube is really fine so it is easy to dispense. This is quite easy to apply, the best method is probably with your fingers as I find it really smoothes into your skin that way. I tried it with a beauty blender too, but this didn't really benefit the product. It doesn't really have too much of a scent, nothing overpowering anyway. The coverage of this was very light for me as I have a lot of blemishes, so I found it didn't really cover them too well, you would still need to use a concealer. It does take some of the redness away from your skin though, and the finish was quite dewy. The product lasted quite well during the day but then I wasn't really going out and about, I was just at home for that day. I have to say that I think you can get better for your money, this one is good if you just want a light coverage, but not so great if you want full coverage. I haven't really noticed any changes in my skin just yet, but I will keep using it to see if it makes any difference. So I would recommend to anyone who is looking for something like a tinted moisturiser, something natural to put on if you don't want to wear heavy foundation.
Tips: Use your fingers to apply, as it just soaks up a beauty blender and a brush just pushes it round your face. If you have slightly oily skin I would set it with powder as it can tend to go shiny. (I always set everything with powder anyway). Could be used as a base under foundation to build up coverage.
