Garnier Skin Perfector BB Cream Anti Ageing Review

The original Garnier BB cream was the first one I used and I really liked it. Recently upgraded to the Smashbox one and then tried this Anti Aging Garnier one to see how it compared. I wanted to love it more than I did unfortunately.

The instructions say to use as you would a moisturiser - I prefer a really high SPF moisturiser so I applied this after my moisturiser had sunk in for 5 minutes.

The texture is creamy, it's not too thick but I did find it thicker than the original BB cream. It blends in well and gives a reasonable coverage for a BB cream. I did find it was a much more matte finish than I am used to. I did notice that my skin tone and wrinkles seemed a little less obvious for the first half of the day although I don't think this lasted all day.

I did want to love this product, I think I will keep using it for a while longer and see if there are any longer term effects from the anti-aging properties (it's hard to see the effect of these in one week).

Would be nice to see this released in a Super Light colour as the Light is almost too dark and I have pretty fair skin. It would be ok for me in summer but not in the middle of winter!

I love the idea of BB cream, a potion to hydrate my skin, skim over any imperfections and yet light and comfortable to apply and wear. Top it off with SPF and I will be a happy camper. My Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream - anti ageing - arrived at just the right time. I had just finished the tube of my regular BB and was looking for something richer, designed for my 43-year-old complexion. I am just noticing fine lines and age spots these days, my skin is very fair and fine-pored with the occasional broken capillary. It is also quite dry and needs rich moisturisation morning and night. I was pleased with the look of the Garnier packaging, a simple soft squeezable tube which is small enough to fit in my makeup purse. The product dispenses easily and has a nice soft creamy texture. No discernible fragrance either, which I consider a big plus. I was a bit concerned that the colour of the product (light) was a bit dark and a bit orange but once applied it dispersed easily and blended to a nice sheer beige. At the end of the first day I felt I didnt get enough moisture from the BB alone so the next day I put my regular moisturiser on first. Much better. I found that the BB didn't crease or transfer much, but I could have done with a bit more cover. The package instructions recommended applying a second coat, on doing so the results were good. By day four, I thought I had it all figured out, but that evening I noticed my skin felt a little dry and tight. Half way through day five my face felt prickly and itchy. I washed my face as soon as I got in from work rather than leaving it till bedtime like I normally would. My skin was irritated, blotchy and with hundreds of tiny bumps under the surface. The skin beside my mouth is flaky and dry. It has been three days since I discontinued the BB and I have had gradual improvement. This doesn't seem to be a classic allergic reaction and as I have used BB from another manufacturer for over six months without any problem, I wonder if it could be a hypersensitivity to the anti-ageing component of the BB? Oh well, what looked like a fair to middling BB product has turned out not to be for me.

This was a new product for me to try and I was very keen to use as I had read a lot about BB creams but most seemed too expensive. This one at under $20 seemed too good to be true. Packaging is vey basic and unless you were looking for it would not stand out on the supermarket shelf however I feel this is what keeps the cost realistic. The texture of the product is thick and creamy which took me a while to get used to as the first couple of times I used my fingers and felt I had a mask on however after a bit of experiment I found applying with a sponge easier and achieved a lighter coverage. I found once a day plenty and lasts all day so I felt no need to touch up at all and certainly makes my skin feel firmer . My skin is really fair and sensitive and the initial colour seemed too dark but after the cream dried the colour also seemed to blend in with my skin tone. The scent of the cream is really light and soon disappears which I like as I don't like makeup than has a strong scent. I like the fact that it also has sunscreen as I often forget to use until it is too late. All in all I found this a really good product and will certainly purchase again when I have used up this sample.

This was so easy and quick to apply which is great as I'm a busy mum. It provided the light coverage and kept that natural look that I like. Packaging is great and small enough to pop into your handbag for touch ups later in the day. I did find it irritated my eyes towards the end of the day and know that will be caused by the sunblock in it as sunblock does this to my eyes. I recommend this to anyone looking for a natural look but I would tend to go for one without the sunblock. I would buy thus again (without sunblock) and I'm getting my 13 year old her own Garnier BB cream as I feel it would be perfect for her.

I have tried lots of BB creams and have stuck with the more expensive products due to them performing better, but this is great and a good price. The texture is creamy and moisturising with a fresh smell. I have really dry sensitive skin, and this goes on moisturising and stays that way all day, no drying out. I am 46 so can't use any foundations that are heavy, so this is perfect and seems to give a dewy, youthful sheen. I'm impressed and will continue to buy. I am so glad I tried it as I doubt I would have bought it as lower priced BB creams have failed to live up to expectations in the past. This is a winner.

I used this product twice daily after receiving it. My skin feels smoother and softer. It was thick, creamy and smooth and had a faint chemical smell. It applied fairly smoothly with good coverage, but there were occasional streaks to rub in.

I felt comfortable using it on it's own I also wore it under make-up. The packaging says it has sunscreen, but not what level of protection, it would be useful to know what level it has in it.

I am happy to continue using it to see what my skin feels like to compare it to what it claims after 4 weeks of use. I'd buy it at the RRP, while the current smell doesn't put me off I would prefer it to have a nicer fragrance.

I have been wanting to find a really nice moisturiser/tinting cream that I can use on my face that has the aging wrinkles by the eyes. This product covers all of that and is just so easy to apply. Takes a little bit for it to feel like its dry but when I run my hand over my cheeks they are dry so I don't feel like it will rub onto my clothes.

My skin feels a bit tighter and it looks like the wrinkles around my eyes don't look so prominent.

I like how it evens out the tones in my skin with the tinting.

I think the best thing is that I don't have to go out of my way to buy this product and can just buy it when I go grocery shopping which makes it so convenient.

As the title suggests, I was pleasantly surprised by this cream. I thought it would be a very thin tinted moisturiser (not having used any type of BB cream before) but it was thick and gave really good coverage. It didn't upset my skin -( I'm currently pregnant and my skin is going haywire!!) I can't say if I noticed any reduction of fine lines and wrinkles to be honest (but it has only been a week). But I enjoyed the pleasant smell. The only downside? The colour. Even though I used the "light". Cream, it was still too dark for my complexion. If there was an "extra light" or an "I blend into white walls" colour..... That probably would have suited me better

I've used the original Garnier BB Cream years ago when it first came out and really liked it but found that formula to be a little oily for my sensitive skin so I was eager to try this formula to see if it had the same results. I've been using this for a week now and having just come back from 40+ degree weather in Vegas it's been a godsend! I prefer a light sheer coverage for my foundation so this has been perfect! I'm quite lazy when it comes to moisturizing daily so again this is perfect - this BB cream has not dried my face out... my skin is able to breathe but has enough coverage for my liking giving a natural glow to my face and evening out tone. I can't comment to the minimizing of wrinkles as I'm fortunate to not have any. I also like the fact this product has SPF15 so I know I have some sun protection.

Easy to apply. Goes on nice, smooth and even without dragging the skin. It is quite thick and creamy but very light on the skin. A little too light for me. I like a bit more coverage and I felt I need to keep reapplying through out the day. It has a nice fragrance and the packaging is simple and nicely priced. Help reduce the appearance of enlarged pores and gave a more even skin tone. I think it is quite good however for me the coverage was too light
