Garnier Skin Perfector BB Cream Anti Ageing Review

Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream - Anti Ageing is a real pleasure to use. It has a lovely fresh fragrance and a consistency that is thick but not heavy. It glides on beautifully and the results are instant - a fresh glow that brightens tired looking skin and gives a youthful look.

Although I have skin that tends to be dry, I would be confident using this without any additional moisturiser, making this product an excellent multi-tasker. But don't be put off if your skin is more normal to oily - there was no greasy t-zone in sight, even 12 hours after application!

If you're after a foundation substitute, however, this isn't the product for you. The coverage is very sheer and I wouldn't claim it to be long-wearing. On discovering this I tried it as a foundation base and it works very effectively in the way that a primer would, adding a slight luminescence and allowing the foundation to glide over smoothly thereby requiring less product. Due to the tint, it even added a little more depth of coverage to a light/medium-weight foundation.

Overall I would say this product is good value for money, depending on what you're looking for in a BB cream. It will almost certainly make a worthwhile addition to your beauty kit.

I didn't like the way this cream left my skinning feeling dewey but I suppose that indicates moisture. It spread on quite easily but was quite thick.

Smell was pleasant but didn't really see any effect on reducing the appearance of wrinkles. I had to persevere to continue to test this over 5 days as I really preferred to go back to a moisturiser (with SPF) plus mousse foundation. A much nicer feel and colour. This BB cream has quite an orange base which didn't really suit me either.

Not a fan of this BB cream really but was nice to try something new.

So easy, so light, so flawless; that's how I describe this product. I absolutely love it. I have used all sorts of tinted moisturisers, foundations and powders over the years but this product is perfect at this stage of my life. Being in my 40's its important to keep make-up to a minimum due to lines and wrinkles and keep skin hydrated. This is perfect! A combination foundation/moisturiser that is so fluid and glides onto the skin leaving a light flawless glossy look. I found it covered my blemishes and spots easily but allows a hint of my freckles to shine through. My skin feels soft without being greasy. I look forward to using it again and again.

I received this product bright and early on Saturday morning so began trialing that same day. The box states usage is designed for women aged mid-to-late 20s up to early-to-mid 60s. I opted for the medium colour, however, in my opinion the product was a bit too dark, even when applied sparingly. It could be that I should have opted for the light colour, in saying that, I definitely have an olive tone complexion. Right-e-o, to the product itself. When you open and squeeze out, just the teeniest bit, one, it is the most silkiest, smoothest, creamiest product I have ever felt, and two, it also has the most gorgeous scent to it, not too faint and not too strong, just right. As I chose the medium colour, my initial reaction was 'oh, this is very dark', but as I massaged it between my hands and applied to my face the colour actually did blend in to a much lighter shade. After about five minutes, I re-checked and it was noticeable that I had something on my face (I don't wear foundation/concealer, so I could certainly see I was wearing something). I rubbed the product further and it did slightly lighten on my face. On the box it does say "For increased coverage, apply a second time", in my opinion, I think in this case, because of this, I perhaps have chosen the wrong shade :( So the second and third mornings I applied the product, using half the amount that I used the first morning, WITHOUT using my normal moisturiser first. Again I couldn't seem to get a matching even colour, and when applying the product instantly dried up and looked cakey on my skin. As I mentioned earlier, I do have sensitive skin, so I believe it was due to not using my normal moisturiser first why the cream went dry instantly. Alas, this morning I woke up and my skin has broken out in a bumpy rash, especially around the outer corner eye area, and my cheeks. Thus unfortunately, I would have to say, this product is not for my sensitive skin. But, I would certainly recommend to friends to try, as overall, it is a beautifully presented product and I highly doubt a women within the normal skin range would have the issues I had.

I found this cream to be lovely and smooth, very easy to apply with my fingertips and had good coverage. Had a very faint fragrance which was quite nice. I tried the medium tone anti ageing cream. I thought the medium was going to be a little dark for me as looked quite dark in the container but it actually blended in really well with my skin tone. Coverage was initially very good but I found that I needed to apply a loose powder over the top to make it last longer as tended to wear off during the day. I didn't see any changes in fine lines or wrinkles over the few days I have used it but maybe I need to trial it for longer. I wouldn't use this every day instead of my usual make up but would take it on holiday for a quick natural look.

I have fairly even skin, with some serious break outs once a month, so have tried it all. Except this BB cream concept much to my excitement for this trial. The consistency was light but a little thicker than expected, and my first thought was how smoothly the cream applied to my face with just my fingers. The moisturising aspect of the cream was great I thought, very impressive and with a lovely floral scent to the cream, was a real winner. After a few days though my skin has started to feel very oily around my nose, so possibly a little too oily for my skin type. The coverage was ok, but due to my outbreaks from time to time, just did not hide enough for me to feel comfortable ( except at the gym etc). Once I applied foundation over the top, it did leave my skin looking more flawless with the wrinkles and lines less easy to spot, so from that point of view was quite pleased. The product lasted well through the day, and my skin felt very hydrated right through the day. The packaging is fresh and appealing, and with the size of the bottle it would be very easy to carry around in your bag for emergency top ups if required. Overall, I liked the ease of the moisturiser and cover all in one so would definately continue to use from time to time, but the coverage would not be enough for me to trade my foundation. At a fairly reasonable price though, I would happily repeat purchase and leave in my make up bag for occasional use.

I have combination skin and have always been wary of using foundations and creams as they tended to slide right off my nose and forehead! Garnier's BB Cream doesn't do this. It stayed in place for about 6 hours, but was light enough that I didn't feel like my skin was clogged. I don't normally wear any other makeup other than mascara and lip gloss, but I have added this to my normal routine. I felt a bit more girly, my skin looked great and I felt like I looked younger!

My skin is combination, normal except for the t-zone where I have a little more oil. The consistency of the Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream was light and mousse like, easy to apply with your fingers. The smell was pleasant, not overpowering and disappeared after an hour or so of wearing. The coverage of Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream was quite sheer, I did apply a second layer to see how that changed the coverage and it did build up the coverage to more of a foundation look but still quite dewy in finish. The cream lasted pretty well, my biggest concern was that I ended up a little shiny by the afternoon and ended up blotting my chin and forehead to counteract some of the shine. I think it is worth the retail price, affordable especially if you can get it on special. When comparing to other products, probably not quite as good in terms of coverage for me but a reasonable substitute for the price. The packaging of Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream is quite plain, not sure I like the black background as it has a connotation of not being a very natural product, but again for the price the packaging is not too much of a concern. My results were ok, not sure about reduction in appearance of wrinkles, my skin felt good and firmer, definitely evened tone but possibly a bit too much moisture for my skin type. Love that it has SPF 15 protection, there is no need to worry about additional products to ensure you have sunscreen on your face. Would I recommend it to a friend - yes and even more so if they have a dry skin type, it would suit someone with no oil issues perfectly.

To use this, I squirted a little onto the back of my hand and applied and blended using fingertips. The first thing I thought when I opened the lid was "this is the wrong colour!!", but like magic it actually seems to blend into my skintone. I found it easier to do when I had already applied my normal moisturiser. I don't think there is a fragrance to the product - or if there is it is not overpowering. The product feels comfortable on, ideal for my weekends when I am not putting on makeup - gives me a bit of coverage, but I wouldn't use it as a substitute for normal foundation. I love that it includes a sunscreen. Thanks for this opportunity!

This under my concealer and over my primer really does firm up the skin, it doesn't last long though, which sucks! I don't have wrinkles so can't comment on that but my mum who does, doesn't seem to like this product as it highlights the lines. I however, if I did not have enough time would go out with just this on.
