Invented with teenage skin in mind

Cupcake is our one Fresh Face Mask that was created for a bit of fun. At the time, our inventor’s daughter was a young girl having slumber parties with her girlfriends every weekend, so he whipped up a chocolate mint mask for young, oily skin (officially solidifying him as the coolest dad ever). If you suffer from oily or spotty skin, slather it in this cocoa concoction. With spearmint oil to cool, vanilla absolute to calm redness and Rhassoul mud to deeply cleanse- Cupcake is a sweet savior for young faces. Smothering yourself in chocolate for clearer skin? Every teenage girl’s dream. .

Yess!

I tried this year's ago and I loved it. You keep it in the fridge so the only negative is that it's quite cold to apply but that's probably even better for your skin. So indulgent and lovely.

Sweet And Fresh Face Mask

This cooling and cleansing mask is great for the T-Zone! I loved applying in my more oiler areas of the face so it helped reduce my excess shine and clarify the skin.

A mask I used to purchase years ago and has some great memories. Lush's mask of magnamity is a great alternative that they currently sell!

Fresh face mask

I came across the fresh face masks one day and I love them! first of all they are displayed in the store in such a beautiful way and you get tips and what to use for different reasons. I love the cupcake one and I love how you store them in the fridge to keep them SO FRESH!!! LOVE

Heavenly Cup Cake Mask

For a year or so I had this face mask on my wishlist. Fresh face masks are so different to the standard sachet masks. I enjoy Lush Face Masks for when I want a natural face mask cleanse. After reading Soozies wonderful review it sealed the deal for me to try it. I traded my five pots to receive this mask as a free one.

Typically all lush masks come in black pots. I was told in store that Lush will only be collecting black pots for free face masks. The consistency of this mask is thick a bit grainy . Not sure what's in it but it's not too coarse. The scent of it reminds me of sweet chocolate cupcake batter.

When I applied it I could smell this heavenly chocolate scent. After 15 minutesI notice that this dries down . After washing it off my skin feels hydrated .

Once my fresh Lush Masks hit expiry I normally use them as a foot mask for my home pedicures. I do those once a week.

Lush used to offer Face Masks as samplesbut not any more. The price point for this mask is fair. You can easily get 10 decent applications from one pot making it worth while.

Try not to eat it!

The first thing I noticed about this face mask is how incredibly delicious it smells! It's a mixture of chocolate and peppermint and is so hard not to eat. It's such a lovely feeling mask to have on not only because it smells wonderful, but also because it doesn't dry out quickly. Even when you wash it off, it left my skin feeling very soft and not dry at all - even in winter! However, other than leaving my skin feeling soft and being great for a bit of pamper time, I haven't noticed any significant changes in my skin. It also doesn't come in the largest pot, so it does run out quite quickly. I do love though that it's full of fresh, natural ingredients.

nothing amazing

I've been curious about this one for a long gime, so decided to give it a go. i've used it every week for ther last month or so, and really? it did nothing for me. Like any mud mask, it leaves the skin feeling smooth and clean, I liked that this one didn't dry me out, but it's really nothing to write home about. I like skinfood's rotorua mask beacause I can actually see the oil being absorbed from my pores, this didn't do anytbing drastic for me. It feels lovely, and it smells very nice, it's non drying, but I probably wouldn't bother to buy it again, especially as you're meant to keep it in the fridge- that's way to much admin for me!

Tips: give it a try if you're new to mud masks, but don't expect miracles for your pores.

Did nothing for me

I'm usually a fan of lush masks, especially bb seaweed. However this mask just wasn't very enjoyable, and did nothing for my skin. The mask itself just sat uncomfortably on my face and did nothing for my skin. A bit of a let down.

A Face mack favourite

This is my all time favorite face mask from lush- it smells of devine chocolate, it's quite a thick yet smooth texture as well, which i like. You do need to be careful to wash it off otherwise it leaves a brown residue on your face- not a good look if you have babies- easily mistaken for something else.

Tips: Always keep in the fridge- the use by date can be extended and it still smells great afterwards.

Not too happy

I brought this product when my skin was super spotty. I used it once a week, like all masks should be used, and I found my skin feeling too tight (was far too drying) and I found my spots getting no better than when I started. Good thing, It smelt amazing and I always looked super funny wearing it around the house. Overall, I would not buy this again, as my skin was not happy with it, but it may be just what you are looking for.

The only Lush Mask I've hated.

The title says it all really! But let me tell you why I don't like it.

The mask comes in the usual small tub, and even though its 60g it goes a long way because it's quite thick. The mask is chocolate brown and looks like, well, cupcake mix! But it's a lot thicker than cupcake mix, and I find it quite hard to apply. I started putting a bit of water with it to mix it through, and then applying it, as well as applying it to a wet face.

Inside the mask is some gritty goodness, I'm not entirely sure what, maybe almonds? It smells like peppermint chocolate but the smell is about the only thing I like about it. The mask goes on and dries fine. I hate removing it, I don't know why but for some reason this mask from Lush is no beuno.

This also did nothing for my skin - it made it slightly softer but it did nothing for breakouts or anything. So I'm not impressed, and I won't be buying it again.
