Fifth Avenue!

This perfume is my favourite these days. I have the 125 ml bottle and also have 3.7 ml travel size sample. It has the top notes of lilac, magnolia, mandarin and bergamot. I feel it's a really strong perfume with floral notes predominating. There is a hint of spicy notes as well, which I think is due to cloves and nutmeg middle notes.

If I try to personify this perfume, it would be a self confident girl who has a strong personality and who is really successful on the career front. Elegance is her last name, yet she is really subtle and minimal in her own way.

I personally think this perfume is for the night time. I feel it will be too strong to wear in daytime. It lasts more than 4 hours on me. After that, it fades away gradually.

I don't think I would repurchase it, as the bottle will last a long time and I would like to try something else.

La Roche-Posay® duo

I was lucky enough to be chosen to trial this skincare brand. This is not a skincare brand I had heard of before, so I was curious to try it.

La Roche-Posay is a French brand that is made in France. The main language on the bottles is French, but there are English directions written on the back of the bottles, and on the boxes they come in.

The bottles and the boxes are both white with black lettering and blue accents. The eye contour comes in a clear white pump bottle, and the cream inside is white. The bottle is 20ml. Likewise, the cream comes in a clear white pump bottle, and the cream inside is white. The bottle is 40ml.

The creams are designed for very sensitive, easily irritated and allergic skin. The creams are preservative-free, paraben-free, fragrance-free, alcohol-free, colorant-free and lanolin-free. My eyes and skin are very sensitive and easily irritated. Both creams lived up to their promise and did not irritate my skin. They have no discernible scent, and are easy to pump out of the bottles. They absorb well and are non-greasy. They both feel very gentle on my skin.

I think these are a great option if you are looking for higher end skin products that do not irritate your skin.

Gives Me Beautiful Hair!

This is a fabulous range and has made my hair look so healthy and beautiful. I am in love!

SHAMPOO: I was excited to trial this range so when it arrived I was straight in the shower. It came in a large bottle which surprised me as the other Elvive shampoo I have is considerably smaller. I like that it has a flip top lid which makes it easy to open and you can stand it on the lid to get the last bit of shampoo out.

It is a lovely thick consistency and man it smells devine! Beautiful coconut scent which I really loved. A little bit definitely goes a long way, it lathers up very well and washes out easily.

It didn't leave my hair feeling dry or knotty at all. The only negative thing I found was the amount of colour that washed out when I was rinsing. I know it is not a colour lock shampoo but I was shocked to see how much come out.

Overall it is a lovely shampoo which made my hair feel clean and smelling like coconuts!

CONDITIONER: Like the shampoo this comes in a great sized bottle with a flip top lid. I love how you store it standing on the lid which helps get all the conditioner out.

It is lovely and thick! I have very long hair but you don't need to go overboard with this as it spreads so well. It has the same amazing coconut smell as the shampoo, sooooo yummy!

I leave it on for a few minutes then rinse out. It leaves my hair with no knots and my comb runs through it with ease. After blow drying and straightening my hair looks transformed. So soft and shiny, my frizz is tamed and my hair looks fabulous. The coconut scent lingers all day which I love.

A beautiful conditioner that I am loving. I do not get any colour wash out at all from this unlike the shampoo.

MASK: I have not used a lot of hair masks before so was keen to see what results this would give me. It comes in a tub with a screw on lid which makes it easy to scoop the right amount of product out.

It is very luxurious and thick which I love and has the most incredible coconut smell which lingers in my hair all day, I love getting wafts of it throughout the day.

It seems like it can be used in a few ways, I tried a mask, overnight treatment and leave in conditioner. I like it all 3 ways! When used as a mask I shampoo my hair then leave this on for about 5 minutes then rinse, as a treatment I used it on damp hair as it was easier then popped on a shower cap and left it on overnight, as a leave in conditioner I put a tiny amount on my mid lengths and ends. My hair was never left feeling heavy or greasy. This really is a lightweight mask and my hair was left feeling so soft and hydrated with each use.

Definitely a winner for me and I would recommend for anyone wanting to give their hair a boost of hydration. Love this!

Continued below......

Tips: OIL: I love a good hair oil and this one was really great! It comes in a sturdy glass bottle with a pump. It holds 100ml of oil which will last ages as you only use a little bit each time.

The oil itself is very lightweight, I use 3-4 pumps, rub my hands together then apply to damp hair, it does not leave any greasy feeling at all or make my hair feel limp and heavy.

After blow drying my hair is smooth and frizz free, it has a beautiful shine and smells incredible. I really love this oil!

I have also used it on dry hair to tame any Flyaways and it did a fantastic job, you only need a little bit, it is so effective.

Overall this is a beautiful hair oil which I will gladly keep using and would happily repurchase when it runs out. Love it!

I highly recommend this entire range. It will leave you with beautiful hydrated hair and smelling like coconuts!

Try the trio

Thank you BR for the amazing chance to try the trio. I don’t have time and I don’t want the maintenance of short hair so anything that promises the longevity of my longer hair is very appealing. This trio delivered. The packaging is on point – love the pink. The conditioner and the fact its upside down so gravity works in our favour perfect. Versus when the shampoo can get low it’s a mission to get the last squirts out. The pottle/tub is handy and will go a long way – great value. The effect from this trio is very on par with a more expensive brand I have used in the past so good work on the Supreme Length set. My hair following use was smooth and soft and more manageable but if I had to choose between the shampoo and conditioner I would choose the shampoo I felt it did a great job – the shampoo feels like it detangles at the same time as cleansing which I love. The conditioner was good – left a little to be desired kind of fell out of my hair until I started wringing my hair out a little and applying. It did add to the smoothness but felt the shampoo and mask results were much more noticeable. The mask - hands down amazing. Smooth and tangle free hair. More manageable. And when my hair was dry I would flick it up and minimal taming required. Definitely a system that smooths, increases hair manageability, cleanses, detangles and nourishes. Like I said in my other reviews I am unsure if it protects it’s hard to tell on a non-microscopic level but I did straighten my hair without protectants and it didn’t feel any worse than usual. Thanks again BR this trio reigns supreme.

Tips: If you had to choose certain products over the others.. 1st pick Mask. 2nd Shampoo. 3rd Conditioner. Wring hair out a little before applying mask and conditioner to help it stick more.

Love <3

So impressed by this mascara. It is very black and works extremely well on its own, but even better if your lashes have been pre curled. Very obvious added volume and thickness. I was surprised that there was a scent from this mascara, I do think that a scent is unnecessary though as the eye area is delicate. One application from this mascara was the equivalent to two applications from the L.A Girl Booming Lash Mascara that I am currently using. This is definitely my new favourite. Definitely recommend if you are looking for that lush, glamorous lash look.

Tips: Curl your lashes first, then apply this mascara for the ultimate glam lash look.

Holy Bananas!

Let me start off by saying WOW. I have coloured hair and it is more on the dry side. I am really impressed with this product. Previously, I had been using olaplex on my hair with okay results. This miracle in a jar blew that out of the water! I used it all three ways to see which was the best for me. Damp/dry hair, after conditioner, and as a conditioner. This is crazy because I have always used hydrating conditioners and then a treatment and the best result for me was using this in place of my conditioner, left on a couple of mins and rinsed out. When I used it the other ways I felt it did the same but wasted more product(s). My hair felt SO smooth while I was rinsing it out and I was already impressed. I thought it would dry out with the blow dryer but NOPE. After blow drying my hair, it was so soft and I had hardly any frizz to control! This product is so inexpensive and is a super natural product. Full of good stuff, leaving the toxic chemicals in the dust, and the smell would make any minion go crazy. I absolutely LOVE the smell. It stays in your hair after you shower a little bit but it becomes more of a mature fragrance and it’s really just beautiful. My boyfriend keeps commenting on how good my hair smells. I know I will be using this for a very long time. I have already gone online and ordered 3 of these babies to send to a couple of my friends. Truly a life changer for my hair!

Tips: Try it if you have dry hair! It will become your hair’s soul mate!

UPDATE: My boyfriend is now getting out of the shower with a familiar scent of banana in his hair! Hahaha This stuff is pure magic.

You will LOVE it!! xx

Must try this .

Remington AIR3D Hair Dryer - Review

When I received an email inviting me to trial this I was super excited, thank you so much BR for all the incredible trial opportunities and the work you put into this site! I was even more excited when I saw the package on my doorstep, and quickly opened it to find the beautiful box that this hair dryer comes in. It is black and rose gold, and absolutely beautiful! In the box, you get a storage bag, two concentrator attachments and a diffuser. It claims to use '3D Airflow' and 'Smooth Conditioning Technology' to help style, reduce frizz and create a smooth finish - which is definitely something I'm into! This hair dryer retails for $299.99, which is rather steep for a hair dryer, however I think it could be worth it depending on your hair type and needs.

This hairdryer looks like something out of a space movie - it just looks so futuristic! It's triangular, with a hole through the middle, and mesh at the back where I believe air is sucked in to blow dry with. This mesh means that there is no way for your hair to get sucked into the back, which has happened to me multiple times in the past and is always a huge pain. The hairdryer has good weight to it, but it is balanced well so is easy to manoeuvre while in use. The attachments included in the box easily pop onto the hollow head of the hairdryer. It also has a very long cord (3 metres if I remember correctly) with a loop to hang the hairdryer if needed. It has 3 heat settings, a ‘cool shot’ button, and 2 speed settings. I found that there wasn’t much of a difference between the lowest heat setting and the cool shot setting.

When I used this hair dryer I was amazed at the speed it dried my hair, it only took around 10 minutes compared to around 30-45 minutes that my old hairdryer took - keep in mind, I have very thick, frizzy curly hair! Using the diffuser attachment took longer, but gave me even better results - my curls looked smooth, and they weren’t frizzy, plus my hair was nice and soft with lots of volume! I used it by ‘cupping’ my hair in the attachment and holding for a while, repeating every minute. I think the ‘Smooth Conditioning Technology’ actually works, which I was very impressed with. With the other attachments, my hair took a bit less time to dry, but my hair wasn’t as curly, instead it was more wavy-straight, which is good as I am able to get 2 different styles without the use of a hair straightener at all.

Overall, I love the experience I have when I use this hair dryer - it looks good and performs great! It has lots of features that make it just that little bit better, such as the included attachments and storage bag, and many settings to choose from. It gave me amazing results, even though I have thick, curly, frizzy hair. The price tag is steep though (and that is why I have rated it slightly less than 5 kisses), so that is something to consider if you’re thinking about buying this hair dryer - it is sure a good one though! Thanks again to the Beauty Review Crew!

Tips: If you have curly hair, use the diffuser attachment - it means less air is blowing your hair around everywhere, therefore reducing frizz!

Eeee $300 is pricey alright. Its worth it if it reduces frizz though - that's a big problem to deal with.

Good review - bit pricey but sounds great.

Great review! It sounds fantastic, but the price tag will be keeping me away...Hopefully they are a sale on at some stage!

It sounds wonderful. I agree the price tag is huge . One day hopefully

Not for me

I purchased this from Sephora for I think roughly $40-45 mark which in my opinion is ALOT of money. I had read/watched many reviews & they all seemed to be slightly different so it was hard to get the right review to convince me to get it or not to get it. So based on my own convincing I bought it! I did a colour match to another foundation & purchased "Light 46 - Cool".

When it arrived from Sephora I thought Holy Moly this looks gorgeous. The box and bottle of foundation is gorgeous, with sort of the old century goth look - which I love. The bottle is a pump style which pushes up the product (love!) and it's fitted with a removeable cap that sits on the front - which I personally found a little bit fiddly but practical at the same time.

This product states 24-hour wear, full coverage & transfer resistant matte. This product was definitely matte on my skin, which unfortunately is why I will not purchase again. I still used the rest of the product but I mixed it with another foundation & a couple of drops of oil to try make it less matte looking. It definitely had good coverage, and had lasting effects. I only noticed small creasing around nose area or that it clung to dry patches.

Nice foundation though, it feels soft and silky and you only need a little bit to cover your whole face. It was easy to build up but it does set quick so I recommend working quickly to build up.

A must for dry skin...

Gah! I don't usually do reviews of any sort, but I got so excited about how well this foundation works for my own skin that I had to write one.

This has to be my favorite cost effective foundation for the cooler seasons or possibly just in general, I'll have to wait for summer to see if I still feel the same way about it, otherwise I am definitely going to continue using it during winter. Absolutely love it so far!

35 and I have normal-ish to dry skin, more on the dry side during winter. Really recommend if your skin is the same. You have to at least try it anyway. I do my usual morning skincare routine then use Rimmel fix and protect primer. I use a beauty blender to apply my foundation in 220 natural beige as well as the Fit Me concealer in 20 Sand. Feels light, smooth, doesn't cake and looks natural. Plus it keeps my skin looking flawless and hydrated throughout the day.

Tips: Apply with a beauty blender or something similar. A little goes a long way.

Love at first use

There is absolute good cause as to why this pencil is so highly raved about. I don't know why it's so much better than just normal pencils but it really is.

I bought this from Beautylish, ages ago actually. I had an ELF pencil that just kept going and going. I've been eagerly waiting to use this one so I wa very glad when I finally used up my other one.

The packaging is pretty standard for an eyebrow pencil. It is long and thin and has a cap on each end. One side is the spoolie and one side is the pencil. I love the spoolie, I kind of thought that a spoolie is a spoolie but this one easily brushes out your brow hairs plus blends out well too without feeling scratchy. I have the shade dark brown and it's a perfect shade match for me. Nice and dark but not too dark and a good cool tone. The pencil on this is retractable so you don't have to worry about sharpening and because the tip is so thin, it kind of stays in a point anyway. I find this easily fills in my brows and just keeps them looking so good. It must be some combination of a good formula and a thin tip that makes my brows look way better than usual. I really dont know but it works and I'm loving it. I find the colour lasts all day although I do set it with brow gel too.

I can't really think of anything bad about this. Maybe my tiniest gripe would be that I wish one of the caps was clear. I always end up opening the side that I don't want first. This is a bit more expensive also but I don't think it's totally unreasonable.

I'll definitely buy this again, I have the billion dollar pencil to use after this which I also enjoy but I think the Anastasia is the winner for me.
