We know what you're thinking, Mecca? Sephora?  Well they’re great stores make no mistake, but when it comes to beauty products that are functional and do the job, get on the highway to your nearest K-Mart store.

K-Mart? We hear you say?  Really? But trust us on this one. Picture this: aisles filled with an array of makeup, skincare, and haircare products, all at prices that won't make your wallet cry. It's like stumbling upon a hidden treasure trove of beauty goodies, and once you discover it, there's no turning back.

One of the best things about shopping for beauty products at K-Mart is the affordability factor. Let's face it, beauty can be expensive, and not everyone can afford to splurge on high-end products. But at K-Mart, you can indulge in your beauty obsession without blowing your budget. Their prices are wallet-friendly, which means you can stock up on all your favorite products without feeling guilty.  Got a teen that's just starting out on their beauty journey? March them up to K-Marche and they'll be in their element.

But affordability doesn't mean compromising on quality. Sure, the prices may be low, but in our experience,  the quality of the products certainly isn't. K-Mart takes pride in offering customers great value

We’ve pulled out a few basics below and compared them to brands from higher-end retailers, and let’s face it how much do you really need to pay for a beauty sponge?

K-Mart elf Clear Brow and Lash Mascara $8.00

MECCA Max Brow Guru Clear Control Gel $20.00

K-Mart OXX 2 Pack Blender Sponge $6.00

MECCA Juno & Co Microfibre Sponge $12.00

K-Mart Modular Organiser $13.00

Farmers Deluxe Drawers $69.99

K-Mart OXX Haircare 36 Piece Heatless Wave Curlers $10.00

Sephora Mermade Heatless Curls Kit $51.00

And there you have it, the next time you're in need of a beauty fix, skip the pricey department stores and head straight to K-Mart. Trust us, you won't be disappointed. With their extensive range of makeup, skincare, and haircare products, all at unbeatable prices, it's no wonder that K-Mart is NZ's best kept beauty secret. But now that the secret's out, it's time to start shopping!

But tell us your opinon, do you have a K-Mart in your town? What beauty bargin buys have you bought?  Tell us below.

There are some gems at Kmart. I love their bath salts. They smell amazing and are half the price of other places.

The elf products are good!

2nd March, 2024

I pop into Kmart frequently- I've definitely looked at their beauty products but the thought of them being so much cheaper is a little scary.

I have a Kmart not too far from home, but it has never occurred to me to look for beauty products there.

I pop into K mart on the odd occasion but I always seem to find a huge range of their products are all out of stock! There are great big gaps on the shelves where there should be well priced beauty products. So, I guess the secret is out! You have to get in super fast to get the bargains.

Those heatless hair wavers look interesting I wonder how comfortable they are to sleep in it if they work. My gripe with buying Kmart stuff is it's usually made overseas so your not buying local. I did buy some bath bombs on sale there the other day though. Alot of the time Kmart stuff is sold out I am interested in some of their appliances though!

I find you need to shop around. My daughter wanted a perfume that is a dupe for Sol De Janeiro so we sampled a tester and no it just didn't leave much of a scent so we didn't get it. They do have dupes for glow recipe at the moment. Some of the Elf products are good.

We have a Kmart in our city. Most of the products I've bought from their home brand OXX have been really good, especially the bronze, blush and highlighter balms. I also really like the elf bite size eyeshadow and face palettes.

I don't have a kmart near me. I had a big spend up at the Warehouse in Timaru today though.

I just bought the Bum Bum dupe, the packaging is identical! You get a lip balm, body butter and fragrance mist for $18! Everyone is going nuts for it. My's nice but I prefer the original.

We have a K Mart but I find it never has a good selection of products as other K Mart's further out. I find with K Mart if you see it buy it as next time it is probably not in stock.

Awesome finds!! I recently was on a website called. Notsocks and ladies… this online store is great for gift ideas for everyone!! I also bought myself something for of course! - the heatless curl headband with scrunchies (like the one above from Sephora for $10!). Works just as well so I bought one for my niece too - enjoy x

I really want to try those! I'm too cheap to buy Sol de Janeiro lol.

3rd March, 2024

Yes sometimes cheap copies are just that !!

29th February, 2024

I got the set, it's definitely weak and I prefer the original.
