Revitalift Instant Dry Drops

I certainly like the product, it works well and it did dry my nail enamel quicker after using base coat, colour and top coat.

I found it rather hard to drive....its a watery type texture and there is no little to no control over how much product comes out and it tends to soak the entire nail bed and surrounding skin, which does seem to be a bit wasteful.

Very strong smelling product which surprisingly doesn't smell on contact or taint skin.

Manicure did last better than normal before the usual wear and tear (to be honest I only think a maid, nanny & chef could really prevent that from happening!! ;)

Not sure I would purchase it again it its current format as I feel a brush application would be better and not feel as though I was wasting and using unnecessary amounts.

Tips: Make sure you have a tissue or something down so any access doesn't run onto clothing or furniture.

Exceeded my expectations

I was expecting this to be similar to other quick dry solutions, only drying the top layer, but this sped up the fully hardened polish to less than 5 minutes. I'm seriously impressed. Prior to children I regularly did my fingernails but these days I don't have time to let them dry properly so they are very infrequently done, toenails are always done though, but this means I can do them late at night and not have to worry about waking up with my sheets imprinted on my nails or a smear having developed. I was surprised that it smelled like nail polish remover, but it wasn't unpleasant. I loved the silky feeling my fingers got from the overflow of product, not greasy or sticky just silky. My one con though was the ease of use. I'm not sure if my bottle was damaged in transit, the box was a little squashed but only a little. Anyway, I found that the product couldn't flow out of the tip of bottle as it was escaping somewhere between the tip and the neck. I couldn't find a hole or crack in the bottle but it did make for a lot of wastage of the product as I couldn't predict where the fluid was going to escape. Despite this I was still able to use the product and it is great. I'll definitely be using this again.

Tips: Keep coats of polish thin for optimin drying.

Average

I got this with the nail box and have used it throughout the nail polish challenge. (about 16 nail polishes in so far). I will keep using it as it does help, get the nails to the point where I can use them. It is best used on the top coat, but it is hard to apply. The bottle says use one to two drops to the base of the cuticle and let it run towards the tip of the nail. there is little control with how much comes out. I always put down a tissue under my nails so it can catch the excess liquid.

After a few minutes I can gently clean the excess off my fingers and then just a few minutes more I can use my nails normally.

I have been using the Revitanail Strengthener as my top coat, so this may be why I'm having success with this product.

One of my favourite things is that this bottle travels well. I often find it sideways in my drawer with no spillage.

Tips: Wait a full minute after applying a top coat and then apply. Use a tissue under your nails to catch the excess.

Bit Tricky

I've never been one to use anything but a normal nail polish and top coat . But after trying the I love nails box I can see the difference in my nails. I was lucky enough to get this in my I love Nails Box that I purchased from bestbeautyboxesever. During that time they had an incredible offer that I couldn't resist trying. These fast drying drops was my first experience giving this a go.

This bottle is made of thick black plastic. A very sturdy bottle with a dropper. This lid is quite secure. This solution appears opaque in colour. Consistency reminds me of baby oil , wasn't expecting it to feel like that. This scent reminds me of nail polish remover. Its quite pungent.

First time trying this I put on my first coat of polish then put this on . It made my nail polish separate in between coats quite messy. I did my nails again normal two coats, plus top coat. I placed these drops on my nails and the shine enhanced adding like another top coat on but an oily one. I found the dropper uncontrollable for some reason. I still haven't got the hang of it but it pours out like rain. After doing that I waited for at least 2 minutes timed and my nail polish was sealed dry.It finally worked for me. For wear with top cat I managed to get about 2-3 days wear of it. Then it began to chip, I guess my hands are too busy.

I think this product does need to be tried over multiple times to get the hang of it. I did enjoy using it. But I don't think I would purchase it again as I'm a bit lazy with taking a lot of steps with nail care lol I get a bit impatient.

Boooo

In theory this product is a fantastic idea, who would want to sit around waiting several minutes for their nail polish to dry, if they don’t have to? A drop of this stuff will supposedly, instantly dry your nail polish, how convenient and practical! But is it, is it really?

Well the good new is that it does work, to a lesser degree. This formula seems to dry my nail polish very quickly, but it’s a soft dry. It doesn’t seem to dry my nail polish hard, so imprints can be made to your nail polish coating for quite some time after using this dry drop formula. I find that I need to give it 5-10 minutes for my nail polish to set hard after using this, which kind of defeats the purpose..

The packaging is terrible. The dropper is not controlled at all, the formula drips out quickly at it’s own leisure, making it difficult to get the right amount without spilling and getting messy with it.

You’re supposed to dispense a couple of drops to each nail, applying at the cuticle and letting the drops run down to the tip of the nail. It’s very difficult to manoeuvure the bottle dripper to allow this to happen.

The formula is the consistency of water, and has a smell to it that’s quite like nail polish itself.

Needless to say, I’m not a fan of this product, disappointingly. I’d be keen to try a similar product from a different brand, but definitely wouldn’t recommend this one to anyone.

Revitanail Instant Dry Drops

I got this in the last beauty vault which was exciting as something like this I was keen to try but not convinced enough that it would work to spend hard earned cash on it.

The bottle comes in a cardboard box that looks very nail product like in its presentation. The bottle itself is a little black dropper bottle.

To use it you just tip the bottle upside down once the lid is off and drops instantly fall out. As a design its not that great, far too many drops fall out and you end up feeling like you've covered your nail polish in cuticle oil. Whereas there have been other bottles similar that I've used where each drop comes out very slowly or you need to press the bottle to release them. These designs I think work better and could be where Revitanail could improve.

When I put the drops on my nails, they enhanced the polish and gave subtle colours a bit of a colour boost. I also felt they make the polish look a little streaky. How it is applied is you drops the drops on the base of the nail and let it run down the nail (which I think is what causes the streaky effect).

The drops feel very nourishing though and I have a feeling I will use them more to moisturise the nails. I didn't however felt they dried my nails any faster. I will keep having a play though to see if I can get any better results.

Good once you get the hang of it

I was lucky enough to receive this in the "we love nails" BBBE. I love painting my nails but hate waiting for them to dry, and generally when I sit down to do it everyone seems to know I'm defenceless the phone will ring, a child will stub their toe and need a cuddle and a sticking plaster I could go on and on but well you get my drift. So these instant nail drops were very much welcomed.

The little black squeeze bottle is small enough to comfortably hold and squeeze gently between your index finger and thumb. I very carefully squeeze until 2 drops come out but then it ran out along the dropper. Next nail I tried it again and the same thing happened it dripped out about 4 drops and they all ran under the dropper and over half the bottle. I tried it on every nail and got the same result so back to the instructions and nope I was doing everything right so I try again this time not even squeezing the bottle just holding it upright and ahhhh success. 2 drops at the base of the nail and let it run down the nail, it was a success.

It doesn't have much of a scent when I do this, but it does make my nails and surrounding skin feel and look oily and greasy but that feeling didn't last too long. As for drying my nails quickly to the touch they felt dry but underneath they weren't, so I still managed a few dents on my nails but hey at least they didn't smudge or completely come away. I would buy again but I have another product like this that you spray on so it's faster. It is however a good product once you get the hang of it.

Not bad but could do better

I haven't had any issues with the packaging. I have used the product a number of times now since I got it and it definitely speeds up the drying time. I am still quite careful of my nails after I have painted them as it is just an ingrained habit so I haven't had any big smudges while using it.

If this product has one issue it's that it is tricky to apply. You either get not enough product or too much. On the plus side it doesn't seem to stain anything as I have managed to get it everywhere while I have been using it. The product has no discernable smell that I have noticed. Would I repurchase this? I don't know I think when I have used this up I will try another brand.

Instantly drops one too many drops

I love painting nails and I paint my nails quite often so I am always looking out for a quick drying top coat or other ways to dry quickly. I was really excited to try this product as I had never heard of Revitanail instant dry drops before.

The packaging of the product looks slim and easy to hold. However not so friendly when using it. After painting my nails, I waited for few minutes before using the instant dry drops on cuticles as per instruction. I didn't have any control over the dropper as too many drops instantly dropped into my nail making my nail very oily. By the time I finished all my nails, I had an oily hand with oil dripping outside the nails.

The package said the nails dry within seconds, well it didn't really dry for many minutes. After 10mins I went about doing my chores and one of my nails had smudged. Very disappointed with the product, I want to love this product but it has not impressed me much as stated below: 1) doesn't dry nails in seconds, best to wait for a longer time 2) the dropper drops many drops instantly so I may have to transfer the content to another bottle and have a separate dropper to have control over how many drops to use per nail 3) it makes my hands very oily perhaps it's best to apply it at night before bed to make use of the oil to hydrate my hands. 4) even the price of the product which is quite high has not ticked as a positive point for me. I would rather buy more well known nail brand with the same price.

Effective but not a miracle worker

This product claims to dry nails 'within seconds' but really it is more of a buffer against scuffs and gouges to 'touch dry' nail polish. This is as effective as my other nail dry products and is a good preventative measure in avoiding damaging your manicure whilst waiting for it to dry, but it won't actually dry the polish. It is an oil that you apply to the nail and you let drip down to the fingertips. This is very oily so avoid typing/touching your keyboard, mouse or door handles when you have used this product. It helps to rinse it off in cold water to speed up the drying process. As a bonus side effect this seemed to nourish my super dry cuticles whilst it was applied. The packaging isn't the best, mine had leaked before I had even opened it, and the dropper bottle seems to leak from the side when squeezed an eye dropper style bottle might have been better. Overall a good product to help avoid smearing your polish but you still need to be careful until it has properly dried.

Tips: Store the bottle upright or else it will leak!
