So quick to apply!

I actually really enjoyed using this foundation. The stick packaging makes it super easy to evenly spread the colour onto your face. When blending the colour out with my fingers it felt like a soft powder on my skin. I think that this gives a nice and natural medium coverage. I was also really impressed with the colour range offered. I am a little paler than NC15 and I found that the colour 110 was a great match for me.

Tips: Make sure your face is well exfoliated and moisturised first as the foundation will cling to dry patches.

Super convenient and very blendable

I am usually sceptical when it comes to stick foundations because they can be very dry in the stick, hard to apply and very hard to spread. Not to mention cakey as well. But this one glides on my face effortlessly from the stick, and it is very easily blended with a brush or fingertips. I love the natural matte finish and the medium coverage it can give. Oil control is pretty good for a stick foundation and I don't need to power this down at all!

Tips: Apply a moisturiser with sunscreen before using the foundation because this does not have SPF.

Natural look Coverage

I have oily/combination skin and I got the shade 235, which Is a complete perfect match for my skin, I did a swatch on my hand and It fit's that well I couldn't see where the make up was! So I was rapped with that as I've never found a foundation that has matched my skin tone 100%.

Application of the fit me foundation stick was very quick and simple, just simply swipe over your face and blend In. now I used my blender sponge yesterday and that worked well, but today I used my finger's and I found that worked best for me. I found It to be very easy to blend Into my skin, great for those morning's where I've got little time!.

The texture of this was a lovely, silky smooth feeling, as well as so light on my skin which I fell In love with as most foundation's you can feel quite heavy on your skin.

For me I needed to do two application's as the coverage Isn't heavy, but quite light.

I didn't get any shiny bit's all day wearing this, and I was out and about In the warm (ish) winter's sunshine today. My skin felt smooth and silky all day long.

I also liked the size of this product, fit In any size handbag with ease. The price for this product Is worth It In my opinion and I will be purchasing this In the future.

I would also recommend It to my family and friend's who like a light coverage make up that's quick and easy to apply.

I was pleasantly surprised by how powdery and fine it felt when I swatched this onto my hand. It feels nice going on and a couple of the shades felt good match on my hand/wrist.

Quick and easy to use

I was really excited when I saw Maybelline Fit Me Shine-Free Stick Foundation existed, because as a mum of two kids putting on makeup tends to get shunted to the bottom of the to-do list, and this was a perfect solution! I've used the Fit Me liquid foundation before in shade 225, but this isn't available in the stick so I went with shade 220 which still seems to work well for my skin tone. The product blends fairly well using either fingers or a brush, and the texture looks and feels good. The coverage is a bit lighter I expected, though you can build up the coverage in layers, but if you have blemishes or dark undereye circles (like me!) you will probably still need concealer. However it lasts fairly well, and if you do need to reapply it's really easy to do so. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who needs a fast, no-fuss foundation.

Pleasantly surprised with this wee gem.

I saw this coming up in the BR trials, and I desperately wanted to try it; however I didn't fit the age group... so I went and brought one, just to see what they were like.

I'm a BB and light liquid foundation kinda girl, so I wan't expecting much from this wee stick. I expected to look like a greasy clown to be honest.

I tried it in the weekend so I could take my time and wash it off without anyone seeing me if it looked awful..... Maybelline I LOVE your wee 'FIT me' stick !

I chose shade 120 Classic Ivory which is probably a touch on the pale side for me, however as winter progresses it will probably suit me better.

I applied after my usual cleanse, tone, serum & moisturise routine and let everything soak in before applying. I put a swipe on each cheek and blended with my fingertips, then added a couple more dabs for complete cover. I would have to say I love the anti shine core; it blended nicely and looked quite good despite my amateur attempts.

I swished a little bit of bronzer over the top as I looked a little pale but I really like this foundation.

Good sized tube, perfect for handbag or spongebag and I think this will last quite a while. Great value for money and I will repurchase when it runs out. I may try a different shade and see if a slightly darker one reduces the need for bronzer. Felt nice on, not at all cakey; not scented either, not that scents bother my skin.

Tips: The good old Warehouse had these on promotion for under $20 so was pleased with my buy.

Cover me up

I have incredibly oily skin and have been searching for the perfect matt foundation for a long time. This one fits at the top of my list so far.

It is so easy to apply. Just swipe the stick over your face and blend in. Simple. No wasted product, no mess, its perfect. It leaves you with a beautiful matt finish and suprisingly lasts the whole day. My only dislike is that it it doesn't provide me with enough coverage (this might be because im no makeup artist and may not be applying enough).

Pricing is your standard Maybelline prices. If i remember rightly it cost be about $23. Not too over the top but affordable.

Good light to medium coverage

I have combination/oily skin, mostly leaning towards oily with large pores, and occasional dry flaky patches.

I have quite a few foundations -- something like eight currently! Most of them are liquids or cream compacts, so I was keen to try out a stick formula. I'm currently approximately an NC30 in MAC shades, and went for 220 and 235. These two are actually pretty similar in tone, but the 220 has pinker undertones, and the 235 slightly more golden. Both work on me because it's fairly sheer in coverage -- I'd say light to medium, and it doesn't look very good if you try and build to more than that because it starts caking up.

It has a bit of a cooling sensation when you swipe it on your skin. I put one swipe each across my forehead, down my nose, on my cheeks and a dab on my chin. I've used my fingers and the Real Techniques buffing brush, and both work well. It settles into pores slightly, but evens out if you buff it in.

There's only 9g of product, which doesn't seem like a lot in comparison to most liquid foundations which contain 30mls -- it's hard to tell so far, but I'll update once I've used it a while to see how long it might last.

I would describe the finish as satin; not matte and not dewy. It's quite emollient, and there's a bit of a tacky feeling if you have built it up; I find that I want to set it with powder after I apply it. Despite the "Shine-Free" description in the name, I don't find that it has any oil control properties, so you may want to use a mattifying primer or an oil-control product if you are really oily. I also find that it can cling to flaky patches, like dry bits around healing blemishes. There is some minor transfer if you rub against clothing etc.

The packaging is pretty compact and it's ideal for reapplication if you're on the go -- it's actually why I got two, so I can keep one in my gym bag and one at home.

I think this would work really well as a cream contour, as I find it pretty easy to blend out. I think I'd go for 330 -- 310 actually seems very similar in tone to 220 and 235, just pinker.

I would probably only recommend it if you have normal to slightly oily/combo skins. It's perfect for evening out your skintone, but not really ideal if you have a lot of blemishes or uneven texture, whether that's large pores or bumps due to acne scarring. You'll probably need to reapply fairly regularly if you're oily.

Just a note on availability: most of the supermarkets I've seen this at don't have a very good selection of shades. Farmers and Kmart seem to have a wider selection, but I don't think we get the very darkest shades in NZ.

Tips: Try it as a cream contour!

Ooh, no idea, I really don't have experience with dry skin although I've found that with most foundations etc it always helps to work it in on top of fresh moisturiser! Even more important to me than primer.

Fantastic review - I was soooo curious to see how you ladies found it - do you think it would work ok for those with dry skin? I am interested to try it as a cream contour rather than a foundation, but am worried it will dry my skin out further.

Hey Jesse, thanks! I actually find it ok over one of my moisturisers which seems to control oil pretty well, plus now that it's winter I'm not as oily as in summer. But yeah, I feel like liquids suit me better!

Really great, in-depth review! I was curious about whether this would work for me but as I have oily, acne-prone skin I think it's better if I give it a miss!

Double Use Product?

I use this foundation as a cream contour, I have the foundation in my face shade also as I wanted to try it as an all over foundation, but I wasn't impressed, I have dry skin and I found that it was quite oily looking, it went patchy throughout the day, that never happens for me, and I do prefer a full coverage foundation over light. But, for a cream contour this foundation is great! Its super blendable and it just gives that natural contoured look without being muddy and patchy. Watch Nicole Guerriero's tutorial on cream contour and she uses this product!

Highly Recommended

I use this foundation every day because it has a beautiful natural coverage, is not shiny or oily and is very easy and quick to apply. I am often short on time in the mornings so it is really useful because I literally just draw it on (putting more in problem areas, if necessary) and then smooth it in with my fingers. You can use a brush but I have found it is just as successful to use my fingers because it is not messy like a liquid foundation. It is also very easy to just chuck it in your handbag or pocket if you want to do any touch ups later on, because you don't have to worry about it leaking or anything.I actually bought it in the palest shade because I wanted to try it as a highlighter, but I ended up using it as a foundation because I liked it so much. Only thing I would say is that it runs out quite quickly - i.e. it is quite small considering the price (in my opinion) - but the whole effect of it being super easy to apply with a natural-looking matte finish is probably worth it!
