When shopping for bath and body care, once you've sussed the product you need, be it a cleanser, a moisturiser or an exfoliater, and you've then sifted your way through all of the different formula options, you're undoubtedly left with - the Sniff Test.

Scent can make or break a product, especially in skin care.  If you don't like how it smells, no matter how good the product is, you're not going to use it, right?

We're putting 3 products from the coming-soon Garnier Organics range to the test.

  • Fresh Lemongrass Detox Gel Wash - cleanses away dirt, oil and pollution without drying skin.
  • Fresh Lemongrass Balancing Moisturiser - hydrates skin all day, refreshes and balances oily zones.
  • Purifying Thyme Perfecting Toner - instantly purifies and mattifies skin while tightening pores and refining skin's texture.

Now, of course, it's you guys who get to review these, but we can tell you something...they smells AMAZING.  Seriously, when the box of products landed on my desk I was surrounded by people asking what smelt so good.  If you like fresh, herbaceous scents, these will pass the Sniff Test for you.

If you'd like to put your hand up to trial these three products for us, why not comment below and tell us two things;

  1. What kind of scents do you prefer in skin care (or maybe you prefer it unscented?)
  2. What type of skin do you have?  Normal, Oily, Combi, Dry, Sensitive, something else?

I think herby scents feel more natural than fruity ones but Garnier products always smell so good that you want to eat them! My skin is currently a little dry and a tad sensitive.

Yes please! I love the scent of lemongrass and grow many varieties of thyme. I like fresh but not overpowering scents or anything that seems ‘chemically’ for my face.

I prefer a more natural herby scent and tend to have normal to dry skin.

I prefer clean scents, which tend to be more of the herby scents than the the floral ones that can be overpowering.

I prefer a fresh clean scent as I have combination skin so most of the time I find a floral is too much for me. :)

I prefer a floral scent, but happy to have my mind changed if a product is really good

I have slightly sensitive (my mum had to use Persil and not budget laundry powder for me and my dad, but I'm not as bad now), oily-ish skin.

To be honest I've not used herby skin care. I lean more towards fruity scents but this could be a nice change.

I have normal skin and I like all sorts of scents for bath products. I'd probably lean towards something sweet as a general rule though.

Herbal scented body care is very refreshing or relaxing depending on the herb of course but if I'm wanting to layer a perfume I will use body lotion to match. My skin can be dry if I don't moisturise.

I love clean fresh scents in my skin care. Anything overly floral puts me off. I have combination skin and would love to give this a go.

I prefer skincare that is mildly scented - too much and I feel like my skin is going to be instantly aggravated. I do like a mild herbal scent though. I would describe my skin as normal - it’s taken years to get it to that point lol.

I don't like things to smell too strongly. But I prefer herbal or fruity scents if they do have a scent. My skin is dry and sensitive. These sound very gentle and non-aggravating.

I am the person you see in the supermarket sniffing everything lol! I like fresh scents and definitely won't use something if it doesn't smell good. My skin is dry but I also get oily in summer especially. I would love love love to trial these products :-) Fingers are crossed :-)

I'm normal to sometimes combination skin type, after years of sorting the hydration element of my skin - but the odd spot crops up when the oily areas of my skin crop up. I don't mind scented products - but for my face, I prefer a relatively mild scent.
