Lush Rose Jam shower Gel Review

Oh how I love this shower gel, and I was so excited when I was brought back again this year for xmas, especially as I got mine at the boxing day sale for half price so I could buy twice as much! Lush products definitely deliver when it comes to fragrance! This shower gel has a beautiful rose fragrance that lingers on your skin for hours as well as making your bathroom smell fantastic! Just use a little for a luxurious lather. The packaging is simple but the product inside is totally high end. Enjoy!

Usually I'm not a fan of Lush stores as when I walk in them, there are so many nice smelling products that my brain goes into meltdown mode. So, naturally when someone bought me this product as a gift, I was sceptical about how it would smell and what it would do to my skin. Boy was I surprised! The smell was amazing and my skin felt great after using it, not all dry and scaley. I wish they made this scent into a body spray because it smells so good.

Life smells like a bunch of roses at times and this will make you smell of roses too. This is the first Lush shower gel I have used. It scents myself and my shower beautifully. I got a small bottle as I was not sure on this when I bought it online at the xmas sales but I know it has been a favourite of others on BR.

When I first used it, I thought that it was a little strong but the scent seems to make itself delicate once out of the shower and floats around you. This is a little thicker than normal, it sort of comes out like a more solid gel than flowing onto my loofah. It gets up a good foam and feels gentle on my skin. I normally shower in the morning but I can see this as being a nice scent to use just before bed to unwind with. Because it is a shower gel you could use it as bubble bath or in a foot bath.

I was a little sad that it ended but hopefully it is out again at xmas or mid year xmas and I can get another bottle of it. While it is more dollars than the average shower gel, a girl must treat herself.

If you live roses, you will love the scent of this gorgeous shower gel. It has a real traditional scent which some kight find a bit too much, but I'm ok with this.

I got the 100ml bottle, which is the typical Lush shower gel bottle with the little flip lid. I find this a good sized bottle for the shower as anything bigger I find it harder to deal with.

The colour of this shower gel is the most amazing deep red, it looks simply gorgeous on my white shower puff. I have found that if you use a puff, you rwally dont need a lot of shower gel. It lathers really well and feels totally luxurious.

After you have rinsed off you are left feeling clean and refreshed and you smell amazing.

My whole bathroom smells like a fresh garden. I will repurchase this again!

My daughter gave this to me for xmas and as I find the Lush shops too claustrophobic with all the strong scents I did not expect to like it. It came in a big bottle and looked very much like jam in a bottle so I was a bit reluctant to use. With the first use I am sold.Yes it is sweet and thick but it made me feel totally decadent and spoilt.Rich and with a strong scent of rose I wanted to use it all over.The scent stayed on my skin but just a whisper which made me feel lovely and clean and pampered. The only fault I found was the lid which is a little hard to open but the product inside is worth the struggle.

I was given a very generous sample of this from both Lush and my beautiful friend Shana, and I was very pleased. There is something about roses that I just love, I think it's mostly because they remind me of my nana. This is no different, and I love it.

The color of this shower gel is a gorgeous deep red, much like a beautiful rose. The scent is very rosey, with a hint of citrus and its surprisingly uplifting. It makes me feel better on a bad day. It also smells like a massive field of roses on a hot summers day; sweet, sickly but comforted and safe.

The scent lasts a decent amount of time on the skin, and can be made to last longer with the Ro's Argan shower conditioner, and again, if you're so inclined, the Rose Jam bubbleroon bubble bar. The scent is the same through all three products and it's really just lovely.

I would repurchase the 100ml of this, but not the bigger bottles as I don't think I would use it often, and I do think I would get sick of the sickly sweet rose smell, as much as I do like it. I would hate to ruin a good thing that way!

Last Christmas I received this product which made me laugh because I don't like shower gels and I don't like rose scented - anything.

I didn't have high hopes for this at all so I wasn't surprised when I wrinkled my nose once the scent was out in in the open. Maybe it's the shower diva in me, but I kid you not I was overwhelmed with the scent in the shower it actually left me feeling woozy a few times haha.

It comes in the typical plastic bottles most of Lush's liquid products are packaged in. I'm not a huge fan of them because I find that as you near the bottom it becomes harder to get the remaining product out.

The consistency of the product is great and is easy to spread over the body. I don't notice much of a difference on whether it leaves my skin soft or moisturised because I regularly exfoliate and moisturize my body using other products.

My main issue is the scent. I seriously smelled like I had rolled around in pot pourri. It was a tad too intense for me that I didn't even want to dry myself off because I didn't want my towel to smell like that too.

The interesting thing however is that once the product has time to settle into the skin; it gives off this light warm rose scent - subtle but definitely in the air - just beautiful. Beautiful enough for me to repurchase? No, I'll just stick to my beloved soaps.

I jumped at the Boxing day sales and got this bottle of rose jam in a gift box that was being cleared out. I wanted to give Rose Jam a try because it is highly rated on here. So my expectations of this shower gel was high.

These shower gels typically come in clear bottles with the black and white lush labbeling on them. The lids of these bottles are easy to get product out. I find these bottles quite durable as I have dropped them a few times. The consistency of this gel is flowy and is a rich coloured red reminiscent of a Rose colour. This scent reminds me of a smokey rose with hints of lemon in it. Can smell Turkish delight but has a smokey background to it.

I like to apply this to my shower puff and it lathers really well. I only need about a 50 cent piece and it goes very far. I noticed that this scent makes my shower smell good afterwards.

If you enjoy deep turkish delight rose scents this definately is a winner. Im not really into this smokey smell . To me it smells like patchouli, Ive noticed it in another shower gel too. For a 100 ml bottle I got about 10 washes and theres still over half left. It's definitely great value for money and good quality. I however definately won't buy this one again as the scent just wasn't my cup of tea.

I truly thought that nothing could top my love for the snow fairy shower gel, but then I tried out this. I still absolutely adore snow fairy but this jut beats it.

I'm currently using a 500ml bottle which is the largest size bottle. I also managed to buy two more 500ml bottles in the boxing day sale so I'm pretty set with this scent for the next year which is lucky as this unfortunately is a limited edition product. It does thankfully come out twice a year for sale, I really hope lush never, ever discontinue this one! The packaging is really simple, just a plastic squeeze bottle. If you know anything about lush though, their focus isn't on flash packaging but more about sustainable, animal friendly products. This has a sticker on it which says exactly when it was made, who made it and when it is due to expire. It has a handy hint written on other products that share the same scent which is great to know. This is a handmade product but it surprised me to see how much the colour could change between batches. The bottle I'm currently using is a pinky red colour, my two other bottles are almost black!

The scent of this is so unique. It's a really rich, rose scent but not a typical rose scent. It's sweet, but not candy sweet. It says it has geranium oil and a hint of lemon added and while I can't really distinguish those notes, they just add something extra to this and make it not something you could find anywhere else.

I only need to use a small amount of this on a body puff and it lathers up really well. I find the scent lingers for an hour or so afterwards on my body but my bathroom smells amazing for quite a lot longer.

This can be quite expensive to purchase but I do feel it's worth it for that bit of extra luxury. It does sell at half price on boxing day but you need to be up early as this product sells out quickly!

I'd definitely recommend trying this one out or even just giving it a sniff in store when it's available

I love, love, love Lush shower gels. They're not cheap but once you've tried them, there's no turning back. Now whenever I buy a supermarket brand, I instantly regret not buying Lush instead. But my Lush favourites are always limited editions! Why do you do this to my Lush?!? Yes, clever marketing I know but they really should make this one all year round. None of the regular Lush shower gels appeal as much. It's always the limited editions for me.

This one comes out twice a year for Christmas and also the mid year Christmas that Lush celebrates in this part of the world. A friend picked this up for me half price in the Boxing Day sale whilst I was overseas as I've loved it since the first year it came out. At first I wasn't sure about the 500ml size as I tend to get sick of anything before I get through that much of it. So here we are near the end of October and I am less than a third of the way through the bottle. A probably use it a couple of times a week. Far from becoming sick of it, it has become my absolute Lush favourite.

It comes in the usual Lush shower gel packaging: a clear round bottle, black and white label along with a use by sticker telling you who made it, and a black flip top lid. Mine is already passed its one year use by date. This doesn't worry me so much with shower gel. Can shower gel even go off?!?

It is deep pink, almost burgundy in colour. Lush describe this on the label as sweetly floral with Rose and lemon and I think this is very accurate. The lemons stops it from being too sweet. It is not artificial granny rose either. In fact, for me it has been highly addictive and has made me seek out as many rose scented things as possible. Sadly, few of them outside of Lush smell as good as this. Apparently there was a Rose Jam perfume one year (not sure if we got it in NZ but I will be looking out for that one this year)

This is a thinner consistency than some Lush shower gels. I use it with a shower puff and it lathers up well. It leaves my skin feeling soft, clean and smooth. I use it in conjunction with Ro's Argan body conditioner. Thankfully that one is not limited edition as I have gone through several tubs of that! That combo leaves me softly rose scented all day.

I will definitely be stocking up again this Christmas even though I still have plenty left. Or better still.....just do the right thing Lush and make this a permanent range!
