Fit Me

In a nice we glass square bottle, you can see the leval, 30 mills. Natural coverage, let's skin breath, blends. Spf 18 Has a powdery smell, thin in texture not heavy. Shake the bottle well. it is very easy to apply I found if my skin was to moist it just sliped on over top. I do work it in in an upward motion and it does settle in. Coverage is light but I found you can layer it. It's doesn't last all day but doesn't say it does, and needs touching up, but does leave you skin looking hydrated and a shine to it's finish. But a bit of powder on top fixes that if you like a matt finish. I've actually found it quite a hydrating foundation doesn't dry you skin out or go powdery, as I do have dry skin I quite like it, it's not a full cover and doesn't last if your face is oily. I found its really nice to apply around my eye area. I had no reaction to it, or stinging or drying out. So for me not to bad a product. Does what it says. I did get it on sale at the supermarket so was a good buy.

Tips: Shake the bottle, make sure you blot your face with a tissue so there is no excess oil sitting on your skin.

Maybelline Fit Me Foundation

This stuff is awesome I got it for 7.00USD - an absolute steal!!

I've never been a fan of Maybelline products in the past so this is the first of theirs that I have used in almost 7 years and wow I am so glad that I gave them a second chance.

The foundation is creamy and silk like, it gives my skin such a nice flawless finish. I find that it covers all my imperfections and I probably don't even need to wear concealer with this foundation.

I really do love this foundation. The only downside is I got this in shade 220 as I thought I had a medium skin tone but this shade is super dark maybe 2-3 shades too dark for me (even in summer). One day I'd like to try this again in a lighter shade.

Tips: Apparently this is the exact same shade match as Mac's NC30.

Not the best

I've always been a big fan of maybelline but I found this foundation didn't cover much of my imperfections. The formula was very thin and greasy. After a few hours it felt like it had melted off (This may have been because I have oily combination skin) and I was left with patchy shiny foundation. Although I did like the wide colour range with matching concealers

Tips: I would recommend this for normal to dry skin

Not so great

I currently use Maybeline Fit Me Foundation - but have not found it as great as people have said to me it would be. I find it has quite a yellow undertone, which unfortunately for me, doesn't quite "fit" my skin tone. Alongside this, wearing the foundation I found it went very shiny quite quickly. It does tend to last reasonably well, but can often become "cakey" and needs touching up with a light powder over top. Overall, it does give good coverage! and if it suits your skin tone, I'm sure it'd be a great product for others xx

Tips: Ensure that you test to find the correct skin tone colour for your skin.

120 Good budget option

While I love fancy foundations, my budget doesn't really run to them any more. Added in that I run out and can't get to the limited locations that sell the upmarket stuff and I end up grabbing all sorts of odd things. In some ways what I love most about this foundation is its availability, between the supermarket and most chemists, you can always find a replacement bottle quickly. It does require a light touch, too much product and it gets hard to blend and goes kind of cake-y and fake looking. I put mine on with my fingers and blend, then pop loose powder over the top.

It lasts reasonably well through a day at work, though does fade away a bit. Definitely requires a touch up if I am heading out again. My normally sensitive skin doesn't seem to react to the product.

For cheap cheerful and readily available this is one of the better foundations I have tried and is a regular in my cosmetics bag.

Tips: Possibly not the best if you are carrying it around a lot as the bottle is heavy

Fits Me

This foundation blends with my skin so well, it is a little heavy but goes on nicely. The price is very reasonable and affordable. It lasts most of the day, it doesn't feel oily and hasn't caused my skin to break out like other liquid foundations have.

Overall I think for someone (like myself) on a budget this is a great foundation and the range of tones means most people can find just the right shade for them.

Who's the fairest of them all?

Absolutely loved this foundation. It gave good coverage and wore well during a full day of work - none of the sinking into pores you sometimes see in foundations. The only issue I have (and it's a big one) is that I got it at an international/import make up sale....And could never again find that shade! The 110 colour is perfect for me, and a lot of people I know, but when I asked in stores, they said the lightest colour available in the NZ range is 115...There's a big difference between the two. Would buy this again if it came in that shade. What about us pale ladies?!

Tips: Wear with a translucent setting powder over the top for the best results.

light-med coverage foundation

This foundation is good if you are only wanting light/medium coverage! Good for day time use, wouldn't recommend using on a night out on the town. I always use a Kabuki brush when applying thus foundation and really buff it into skin, wouldn't recommend apply with fingertips as it is quiet runny and just glides around the face. For the price you cant really complain! There is quiet a few colours too choose from, so most people would be able find there colour match.

Tips: Definitely have to use a kabuki brush or beauty blender to apply this foundation :)

This product was average for me. I found it didn't last very long on my skin even with setting powder, spray and primer. It has medium coverage but good if you just want a `casual` day. I probably would use it again but it wouldn't be my first choice. As a student on a budget it is defiantly affordable so that's a plus I guess :)

Tips: Use a primer and I found the powder first trick worked wonders with this!

I tried this several times at the pharmacy before settling in to buy it. I tried it on my jaw and cheek and and it blended in perfectly.

When I got home to try it, I was horrified to find that it was way darker than it was when I tested it, although I will admit that I put on way too much product.

I have experimented with different amounts of product, and find that when I use the tinest amount, just enough for a thin layer across the face, the shade matches perfectly. Should I put a tiny bit more on, I turn into an orange mess. Yes, Unfortunetly it’s orange looking. So it’s not exactly a product I could easily build up.

I like the nice glass made bottle, and be careful because it is fragile, but hate that it doesn’t have a pump. When you tip it upside down, every single time, I’ve tipped more than necessary out on my hand, and wasted it. So a pump is a definite must. I have however seem some people on youtube who do have pumps come with their bottles, I’m not sure what the deal is with that.

While it is long lasting, it makes my skin incredibly oily. In fact, it’s an oily product to begin with, so I don’t recommend to people with oily skin. It does have nice coverage, definitely not full, but it is strong enough to cover my red spots. It’s not cakey either which is a bonus, and combined with the powder it is almost flawless on the skin, which also takes away the oily look as well. It is also really easily blended.

I find that it is easiest put on and blended with my fingers rather than a brush or a beauty blender, just because I can control how much exactly is going on my skin.

Don't go there. If you have oily skin like mine, it will slip off within hours.

I'm hesitating about buying this foundation. Did it last all day?
