This is the first perfume of CACHEREL, which was created in 1978.

ANAIS ANAIS is a ultra-feminine fresh, rich and romantic bouquet of flowers. Transparent orange blossom with heady hyacinth open the composition. The intensive floral heart blends sweet rose, delicate white lily and magical jasmine.

The base is composed of comforting amber, warm sandalwood with a tender touch of misterious incense.

MrsO

My Husband bought me this perfume years ago & I have used it ever since. He's fussy about perfumes & the scent of creams, & this is the only one that we both like.

Tips: A little goes a long way, even with the eau de toilette, which is not as strong as the eau de parfum, so apply sparingly.

Can't Live Without it!!

I love this perfume! It is fresh, creamy scent of lilies & hyacinth. But I love the smell of exotic lilies too! I where it everywhere & I love the smell on other people when they breeze past me wearing it. I'm addicted to it! I have been wearing it for 10yrs. I have also tried the toilette which is a bit softer but aroma doesn't last as long.

A great any age perfume

I got given this perfume in a gift pack for Xmas a few years ago and wasn't sure about it, having thought it was an older women's fragrance. I have found it is one of the few perfumes that really doesn't age and have had many comments on how nice it smells. The great thing is you don't need to douse yourself in it, one or two sprays and you are good to go and it lingers for quiet some time where as others seem to fade quiet quickly.

Use everyday!

Mum bought me a bottle duty free years ago and I have been using it every since. I have 2 bottles, a 100ml in my bedroom which I spray every morning and a 50ml that I keep in my handbag. I find this perfume light and not overpowering like other fragrances I have come across. It has a lovely floral fragrance which I personally like. Because this perfume has been around for years it has an older style bottle compared to all the gorgeous styles they have now but it is the perfume that counts for me. I have been gifted perfumes and also tried other perfumes but I always have a bottle of Anais Anais. You can also get the perfume in a gift pack which comes with a cream which is also lovely.

Strong but delightful

I remember my Mum having this when I was about 11 (20+ yrs ago). Was strong then and still is today. It does have a lovely scent, just needs to be used sparingly as it takes on a toilet freshener type of smell if too much is used. The packaging is pretty though it is the same from days gone by but if it works, why change it!

Super Floral

This is a nice scent but for me in small doses, this is the most floral perfume I have used. I prefer a light floral or fruity scent. Cacherel fragrances do stand out on their own which is why they're classics. The scent lasts well and you would need to apply much. If florals are your go to scent try this one.

Tips: Spray in the air and walk into it for a subtle scent.

What I call a "mummy' scent

This is another one of those why did I buy that, left to lurk it out with the others cluttering up my drawer. I do believe I brought it during a sale where everything was under $10 so brought it untested, but knew my mum liked it so as I normally like her scents grabbed it.

The bottle has a really odd design; I don’t really like it now it’s all plastic looking and the texture is kind of cheap and plastic too when you run it through your fingers it kind of catches a little (hard to explain) with the label of the image and name wrapped around it. Has a lid that reminds me of an aerosol can lid, that pops off to reveal a silver topped sprayer which works really well and gives you enough.

The fragrance is similar to if you have a fresh bouquet of flowers, fresh from the nursery and inhale it, its floral and green, mixed with a citrus like lemons or limes, it’s quite overpowering but not sickly. I wear it on the odd day when I’ve rummaged through and found it, it’s nice for a summer BBQ date at night, it seems to work really well with night times versus sunlight for me.

Young and fresh

Anais Anais is one of those classic, singular scents which I always recognise right away. I am personally not very fond of the bottle, it is a bit squat and plain - unlike the fragrance inside. Top notes are a blend of lily, rose and orange blossom, very fresh and feminine. As it settles the base notes of incense and amber are discernable but the overall impression of white flowers remains strong for hours. The sillage can fill a room so a light hand is needed when applying. I wore the eau de toilette in my twenties and felt very sophisticated, it feels like a scent for the young and carefree. I expect young women today would consider this fragrance terribly old-fashioned, which is a shame because it really encapsulates innocence and wonder. The price is very reasonable for a high end, classic scent that will last and remain relevant for a long time.

Tips: This fragrance is by Cacharel, not Cacherel.

Talcum powder in perfume form but better

Growing up I loved the smell of Anais Anais, mum would wear it often and I was always excited when she had a bottle because it meant that there was a little miniature one waiting for me and my sister to share and boy was it potent!

The full size bottle reminds me of how I’d expect deodorants to come packaged with plastic to match (ugh) so to be frank I prefer the box. However I do love the colour scheme of the bottle. Is there such a thing as soft white? That’s what it looks like, soft white, pastel peachy pink and a touch of green which is a great reflection of the scent.

For all you lovers of talcum powder, this product is like talcum powder in perfume form but better. It’s a musky powdery floral but at the same time there is some degree of sharpness that you’ll either find offensive or go with it.

What I love about this perfume is that it dries down to a lovely creamy soap scent and what do you know I LOVVVEEE SOAP. In addition to that, the staying power is great, I could smell it clear as day at the start of church and still find it lingering on me by the afternoon.

It’s not a perfume you could easily recommend to others just because some would mistake the musky florals as “grandma’s perfume”. As a kid I was unbothered about when to wear it (naturally) but in hindsight if you’re under 20 I would suggest wearing it out at night because I just feel the chemistry is better on the skin.

My first Perfume

This was given to me when I was about 14yrs old from my Grandmother who felt this was appropriate for a young girl. I always described this as spicey flowery fragrance. The flowery blossom and then sandalwood, incence really harmonize together well, with a hint of orange is how I would best describe this. Always had to be careful not to overspray, as it can be quite potent. Its a fragrance that would suit young to mid 20's girls in my opinion.
