When it comes to gifts I sometimes have to stop and ask myself... is bigger really best? Is spending a fortune on something that won't truly be appreciated really better than spending a lot less on something that will be loved? Do the loved ones in my life really need loads of presents when one thoughtful one will do? Also... Is this the year to really be spending a small fortune when the economic winds are blustery at best and cyclonic at worst?

Honestly, if you've got the cash to splash and you want to throw it around, do it. Live your best life. For me? I'm aiming to act less like I've a money tree in my backyard and more like someone who'd rather give beautiful gifts that will be loved while not forcing myself to scrimp for the next three months as I try and get my budget back on track. So what gorgeous gifts are out there for lovers of beauty that show you care without bankrupting you?

The Aromatherapy Company Reed Diffuser

Featuring an elegant bottle and gorgeous packaging, this diffuser from The Aromatherapy Company is sure to please the person in your life who appreciates breathing in an uplifting fragrance. (The other scents in the range also sound divine!)

Sally Hansen Gift Set Miracle Gel Pinky Promise Duo

Got a person who loves gussying up their toes and tips? This duo from Sally Hansen nails it - not only does it gift the gift of a longer lasting mani or pedi, but the shade is perfect for the summery days ahead!

evre. Fancy Cloth

I never knew how good a muslin cloth could be until I was given one. They make for great exfoliators (I love using mine on my lips), they're reuseable and therefore better for the environment, oh, and they add a little luxury to your daily skincare regime. A must for a person who loves caring for their skin!

Bubble T Rainbow Macaron Bath Fizzers

My daughter is obsessed with bath products, and this will be going under the tree for her. It's cute. It's fun. It'll give her hours of bathtime pleasure. Even better... With five fizzers in the set, you get some serious bang for your bathing buck!

By Nature Lavender Aromatherapy Luxury Sleep Ritual

Everyone knows someone who's not a sound sleeper, and for those who struggle to enter the land of nod a gift filled with lavendery goodness is the way to go. As a person who suffers from sleeplessness, I can safely say it's a present I'm always pleased to get.

16 Brand Mask Pack

Got a sheet mask lover in your life? These masks from 16 Brand are just $2 each and they're lovely. There's a big variety of "flavours", and if you were to buy ten of them you'd be giving a goodly two months of masking to that skincare obsessed person in your life.

Burt's Bees Lips & Tips Duo

This is the gift that keeps on giving, with a lush lip balm and cuticle care included, your giftee will thank you every time they apply a little onto their lips and tips.

Manicare RapidDry Hair Turban

You know those items that you always think "one day I'll buy that" but then never do? A hair turban that dries hair quickly falls into that category. It's one of those beauty extras that you never buy yourself but would be stoked to receive. Grab one for the gym goer, the hair dryer user, or simply the busy person who just wants their hair dry already type in your life.

Morphe M2 Ready in 5 Eyeshadow Palette

Got a teen ready to enter the world of makeup? This palette from Morphe is a great way to introduce them to eyeshadow. Affordably priced, attractively packaged and of decent quality, there's a range of quints to choose from, and they're a goodly step above kids makeup.

essano Rosehip Treat Your Skin

With summer here and holiday travel on the cards, you can't beat the gift of a travel set for those you know who'll be hopping, jumping and skipping all over the place in the coming months. This set from essano will have them covered, while giving them the chance to try some gorgeous Top Rated products!

Loving these ideas! We don't spend huge amounts on gifts in my family, so diffusers, maybe the odd serum, and bath fizzers are definitely some of our go-tos. I'm particularly loving the By Nature Lavender set though... Wouldn't mind that in my own Christmas stocking :).

I’ve bought quite a few Frank Body Mango scrubs to give to my workmates. They’re about $12 and one of the best body scrubs I’ve ever used. I’ve definitely got my eye on the Sally Hansen gel set

Those mango and grapefruit masks sound yum! My mum has always given me beauty treats for Christmas, and having a wee stash packed away to use throughout the year feels like such a treat. It is something I am now doing with my daughters, this year they are getting a few products that I have trialled through Beauty Review and loved!
