Melts away makeup

This is amazing!!

I have never used a balm for a cleanser before so I was a little skeptical at first.

Once I had warmed it in my hands a little i applied it to my face and it was amazing. It had melted into a silky oil and removed my make up so well. Even my eye makeup Usually my face feels dry and tight after a cleanse but with this balm it still felt well hydrated.

I am truly converted to this balm and will be a frequent user :)

Tips: Use on dry skin, not in the shower

Another Trilogy winner

As with a lot of us I received this in our BRBB. We had it in at work and I had my eye on it. It comes in a brown plastic pot with a black lid and a cute new label. It also came with a lovely soft cotton wash cloth.

I feel it has quite a typical balm smell which isnt bad and I think it smells kind of clean.

I read the directions and started. I used my finger and found it melted nicely and I applied it to my face . It felt really lovely and the more it warmed the better it felt.

I used it on my mascara and lippy and both came off well. After I rinsed it all off my skin felt lovely and smooth and clean! I toned and popped night cream on and felt amazing. I will continue to use this and I am sure I will purchase it again.

Umm and Ahh

Not sure about this one. Smells and feels great on the skin - moisturizing. Didn't totally remove my waterproof eye make up. Also leaves a oily residue on face, find i still need to cleanse afterwards

Make up be gone

I got this in the Beauty Box and was so pleased to receive it. I love Trilogy, and was looking forward to trying it. The tub is very basic and is an amber plastic pot with black lid and the Trilogy label on it.It comes in a box with a small face cloth included. The scent is really light and subtle and a lovely waxy texture. It felt really nice and melted in with the warmth of my skin. I followed the instruction and used the little face cloth that was included in the box warmed with water to remove the cream. My skin felt really lovely and clean and I felt it gave the effect you get when you go and have a professional facial. I absolutely love this product and my skin has never felt softer . My mascara and eye makeup just melted away with no residue to worry about. At $39 it initially appears expensive but it is a reasonable size pot and you do not need a lot to cleanse your face.

Tips: Your body heat dissolves the product and as it warms spreads easily so don't use too much. You can always add a little more once it has melted

This is fantastic, much more than I hoped

I'm a recent convert to the miracle that is oil cleansing, when I saw this balm released I had mixed feelings but knew I had to give it a try, find the final one of the shelves at Farmers I grabbed it only to find it arrive the following week in the BRBB so now I have 2, which is awesome as I freaking love it already.

Packaging wise the actual balm comes in a lightweight jar, in a semi opaque smoky glass effect plastic. It's short and stubby, round and has a screw off lid. The outer boxing that the jar comes in also has a Trilogy cotton face cloth that is super fine and lightweight but effective for removing the balm, makeup and grime from your face.

Formula wise the balm is set into the jar in a solid waxy state, on first glance it looks a lot like their Trilogy everything balm which confused me, but once I dipped my fingers into the balm I found that it melted almost immediately with my body heat, so that once rubbed between my palms had transformed from a solid wax state to a liquid oil state. There is a very faint scent of mixed florals like lilac and roses but nothing that is overpowering.

Following instructions I apply the balm over my dry unwashed face and massage into all areas concentrating on heavy makeup and waterproof spots. The balm massages nice and easily into the skin so you feel like you are giving yourself a mini spa treatment each time you wash your face. Leaving it to get to work as I submerged the cloth in warm water, then pressing the cloth into my skin slightly rubbing to effectively remove the mess upon my face. The colour of the water in the sink is a huge indication of how much rubbish the balm manages to lift off and out of your skin.

There was no resistance to eye makeup including mascara and liners, of which I tried waterproof versions too. I also did a full face Halloween look over the weekend with multiple layers of makeup and shadows to find that the balm removed it all in one take!!

Highly impressed and with no signs of any breakouts or irritation this is bound to be a product that will be on my bathroom counter for a long time.

A product you never knew you needed!

I got the Trilogy Make-Up Be Gone Cleansing Balm as part of the September Beauty box. I'm quite new to Trilogy, having moved over here from the UK, and, although I've never actually used anything from the brand, I've always seen it on shelves in fancy department stores. My normal cleansing routine is to either use a foaming cleanser in the shower or a cream cleanser, but using the Trilogy cleanser was a more luxurious experience altogether. Lightly scented, it melts in your hands and feels velvety on your skin, it melted away my make up including my water proof mascara. The organic face cloth is used to wipe away the product and your make up, the whole process made it feel like I was spending time on myself, rather than rushing my cleansing routine. I think it would be handy to have a couple of the face cloths as you should probably be washing them every few days, they can get quite grubby. I would definitely recommend this as a bit of luxury, you don't have to use a huge amount and you could 'ration it' to make it last longer.

Tips: Use quite warm water in your sink to wipe it off, this will make sure the oiliness of the product is wiped from your face completely.

Love this product

I'm a huge fan of their rosehip oil so really excited to get this in BRBB First impressions are great, it smells wonderful - not heavy and cloying. Never having used a balm type cleanser before I was concerned how well it would get off my makeup - especially my waterproof mascara and smudgeproof eyeliner - but it worked really well, and the little cotton facecloth is a great exfoliater! My skin felt really soft afterwards

Tips: Warm it in your hands before applying

Amazing

So recently id been wearing some pretty thick gross makeup due to halloween tutorials, im usually not to fond of oily products seeing as my skin is quite oily so it made me a little nervous. I decided to give it a go anyway there's no better time the month of October when the halloween makeup comes out. When i first opened the balm the scent was sweet i then applied straight to my skin and smooshed it all around, by then i sort of looked like id been crying constantly lol, then with the face cloth provided i added water and off it all came! simple, easy and effective!

OBSESSED

I am crazy about this product. I have been using a cleansing oil for a while now which is great but I find it to be messy and I had seen cleansing balms floating around on YouTube so when I saw that this was due to be released I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. I bought mine from farmers for the price stated ($38.90) I'm a big fan of Trilogy their products are great quality so I think that the price is worth it. I have been using this for about 3 weeks now and have hardly made a dent in my jar I would say I could get 4 months out of it or more but I don't use it everyday. I really like the smell it's not over whelming I think it's quite a clean smell that doesn't linger on your skin. The key is to use this product on dry skin I take a piece about the size of what the old 5c pieces used to be and rub it all over my eyes face neck wherever I feel like and it's so gentle I'm pretty good at getting things in my eyes but this stuff doesn't sting. Don't rush with this product take your time let it really warm up and melt into your skin then focus it on areas with heavy make such as eyes, you want eye lash glue off no problem you have water proof mascara or a liquid lip piece of cake, it will get off everything with no trace left behind. Once it's all melted and smooth I take a warm not hot face cloth and wipe away honestly so simple the only thing is it does stain your light coloured face cloths so keep that in mind.. The face cloth it comes with is nice also not too rough. It leaves my skin so soft and moisturised, I do wait about 30 minutes then go in with a hydrating toner and rose hip oil (I am very dry) and let it absorb overnight and by the morning I'm good to go. If you are a dry skin girl/guy and want that clean feeling without feeling tight and dry give this a go it's 100% worth it.

Nice, just not that great for me

I got this in the BRBB and was so excited to see it. I love Trilogy, and was looking forward to trying it. The tub is very pretty, just a simple brown pot with black lid and the Trilogy label on it. Once opened, the scent is lovely and subtle. I couldn't pinpoint anything in particular so had to cheat and read the ingredient list. i found that I had to use quite a bit more than reccommended to feel as though I was getting all of my face, it felt nice going on, but after I washed it off my skin felt a little bit dry and rough. I tried it a couple more times, thinking that it was just a one-off, but every time I used it was the same. So I'm not sure what it is about my skin that doesnt like this, but I will be passing it on to my mum - who will more than likely love this.
