Thursday Plantation Lavender Oil

I nabbed some of this in the May vault and it's been put to the test in a multitude of ways and performed great.

I should say that I'm not the hugest fan of lavender products. I love the flowers...outside. Lavender inside normally conjures up "toilet" in my mind. So it is with great relief that I can say this product is not at all toilety.

Like many essential oils it's an incredible multi-tasker so it's perfect for tucking away and pulling out when needed. I've used it in soooo many ways.

It's a renowned sleep aid. A little on a tissue next to the bed helps me and my daughter sleep on rough nights.

A few drops in the bath is lovely and also helps me relax before bed.

Lavender is a natural insect repellant so when I wipe down my walls I add a little to the solution to keep flies and other bugs at bay (and make my house smell fresh).

I'll definitely be repurchasing this but find that the bottle is very generous and it will last me a long time. A little goes a long long way so definitely err on the side of less is more for a start especially in a bath as it can be a tad overpowering.

I have had a bottle of lavender oil in the medicine cupboard for as long as I can remember. I use it in my washing machine - I put a washing powder scoop of water into the fabric softener dispenser and a drop of lavender oil to make the clothes smell nice as fabric softener is so bad for your clothes. I put a drop in the water when I was the floors. I add a drop to a spray bottle of water and using a cloth wipe down furniture, light switches etc etc. I also use this spray bottle mixture when I am ironing to freshen the fabric up. I have used it in my oil burner on occasion. I have not used it for any beauty type thing though- only ever for household stuff. I'm definitely going to read all these reviews and see what other great ideas people have for lavender oil!

I won a bottle of this in a giveaway but had to get through another brand first. Lavender oil is probably my most favourite and useful essential oil and I have used it consistently for at least twenty years. Usually comes in a small bottle (10 mls) Thursday Plantation's version comes in a generous sized 25 ml bottle. Clear in colour and with a thin, oily consistency, the sharp but sweet fragrance is both calming and uplifting. I use it added to baths, neat on cuts, grazes and insect bites, a few drops on your pillow cases either after ironing or in the corner before you go to bed helps to provide a deep, refreshing sleep...I have also used it added to shampoo and conditioner as an effective kutu preventative. It can also be blended with quite a lot of other essential oils for either massage, bathing or to create s personal perfume. I use it on myself, used it on my babies when they were growing up and now my daughter uses it on my moko's. A bottle this size will last at least a year easily.

Lovely little brown glass bottle with a white screw cap and a purple label with white writing and the green plantation logo in the corner.I love this product and use it in so may ways.A few drops on my pillow to help me sleep, added to water as a room spray, a few drops in the final rinse for my undies, insect bites , rub into your forehead to relieve a headache and the lavender scent is divine.This is one of the nicer lavender oils I have used and as I have purchased a lot as this is my favourite go to product that is saying a lot.

This is a straight forward product that I've found for anywhere between $12-20 at different pharmacies, supermarkets, and the organics shop. It's a handy essential oil to have and can mix well with many many different falvours of other essential oils. I have taken to using it in baths (as a straight oil, a few drops is enough to make a relaxing aroma), and using it to make homemade bath bombs! Because you don't need to use much for whatever you're applying it to (headaches, massage, baths, or to give your draws a sweet fragrance) the small bottle lasts a long time.

I originally bought this product to help with my daughters sleeping by adding it to her bath at night and putting a couple of drops near her pillow, I found it actually worked well at helping her relax. I've used it in with my washing machine to give my clothes a nice smell and in a bucket of soapy water when washing the floor. I found it was good at relieving headaches aswell. It's a great little bottle that I will continue to buy.

I love this oil. I purchased it to use in my kids baths and because of all the benefits it has. You don't need much in the bath an i found it smells a lot stronger using it in the bath. I also add about 20 drops to a spray bottle with water and use it as a air freshener. This works good. I also tried a few drops on a tissue while vacuuming but this didn't work for me. I can tell the bottle is going to me last ages. The smell is lovely.

Love that it's readily available in the supermarket - you get quite a lot of product too for the price.

I put a couple of drops in the shower tray at night with the kids showers or in their bath and you get a lovely relaxing aroma in the bathroom. I also put a drop on the edge of a pillow or on a cuddly toy. I love a couple of drops in my own shower at night if I'm needing to unwind and relax before bed.

It's a great product to have on hand to help with sleep, summer itchy bites or even freshening up the laundry

Lavender eo is a must have in my house. I did use it a few times a week, usually at night to help the kids wind down.

I also use it in a lot of homemade products like soaps and baby balms. It’s so versatile and blends well with a tonne of other oils.

This brand is reasonably priced and the product is great quality. I have gone back for this oil many times, it’s definitely a favourite.

I like to use a few drops on my pillow to help me sleep at night.

I love the vivid packaging, makes trying to find it amongst all my other oils very easy.

I love lavender everything, so I'm surprised it took me so long to buy this oil. I already own the tea tree for my pimples but I wanted this for my pillow for night time. It's also a great addition to a bath or mixed with water to make a room spray.

The packaging is typical of an oil, dark bottle and a kid safe lid so on bad days even I can't get it open. The smell is literally my heaven in a bottle - its the perfect lavender scent. It's not at all toilety, in fact, it smells like lavender still on the plant, drifting lazily in the summer sun.

This is a fast way to relax my body and mind, and it helps ease me into a deep sleep. I love this stuff and I'll buy it again.
