Thursday Plantation Lavender Oil

It was a tiny bit disappointing to see this Lavender Oil wasn't really 100% pure Lavender oil as it also contains some Limonene and Linalool for whatever reason..maybe they act as a preservative or something similar to that. Anyway it was a lovely fresh smelling Lavender scent that didn't smell too 'stale' and the gorgeous smell lasted well when I put a few drops into carrier oil and also used on pillows with great sleeping success! I even put some in the toilet bowl when I cleaned it and the gorgeous scent lasted really well in the bathroom. The little bottle was easy to use with a built-in dispenser top.

I was able to get a bottle from the beauty vault. I haven't previously owned a bottle of lavender oil so I don't have comparison base but I was happy to read that it was Lavendula Angustifolia oil instead of the other varieties of lavender oil which too harsh to be used directly on the skin. I used this to for a number of things.

Pimples - I applied to a big pimple I had twice a day for a couple days but it didn't seem to work and my skin burned a bit so I guess my skin was a bit sensitive. It didn't help the pimple go away and just irritated it for longer.

To calm down an allergic reaction/ minor rash - I was excited to use my new Natio Body Scrub I scored from the vault. Unfortunately, the first time I used it in my night time shower I broke out in a bunch of red, itchy bumps all over my arms, chest, back and tummy. I mixed a few drops of lavender oil in the palm of my hand when I applied body oil following my shower. Within a few hours I my skin had calmed down the and the slight rash had faded.

Vacuuming - I applied a few drops on a tissue and vacuumed the house. Made the room smell a bit like lavender.

I have given the bottle to my mom to add a add to some water in a spray bottle to spritz my younger sisters hair with as lice prevention. I would definitely consider buying a bottle of this in future and having it handy for more stuff.

When you've been struggling to sleep well for the majority of your life, a product like this can be a lifesaver! My mum bought this for me when I was about 11 and I have been using it ever since. The smell is strong depending on how much you use, but not overwhelming. It helps calm and put me in the mood for sleep very effectively and lingers for a while. Would recommend to anyone struggling with sleep or mindfulness. The only downside I have noticed is that as it is an oil, using too much can leave a slight stain on light coloured linen.

While complaining to a friends mum about the difficulty I was having when coming off sleeping pills, she told me I needed to go and purchase this asap.

Initially I was hesitant - thinking it was an old wives tale, but bought it anyway thinking there are other uses for it if it didn't help my sleep.

The reason I chose this particular brand is only because it was at the supermarket and I thought it was reasonably priced. I also really liked the purple packaging - I think it fits well with the product.

Anyway, following my friend's mum's instructions, that night I put a few drops of this onto my pillow. Initially I was overwhelmed by the scent. After a while though I got used to it and started enjoying the smell of it.

I can't say for sure that this definitely helps my insomnia as I still suffer from it, but this definitely helps me relax. It also alerts my brain that it is time to wind down, as I have trained it to associate this scent and sleep.

You don't need a whole lot of this as it is fairly potent, so you are getting a lot of use for your money.

I will repurchase this when I run out of my bottle, as I like to have it to help me with my sleeping issues. I also find that putting a few drops into a bath at night further helps me relax and takes the edge off a stressful day.

Isn't an overpowering smelling lavender, quite soothing! Used just before bed two nights in a row and I felt it helped really calm me - popped some of it on my pillow! I don't have any carrier oil so haven't been able to try it on my skin

I've always steered away from Lavender Oil to help me sleep as I've found it to be too much - but I love this. I've taken to putting it on my pillow, and suddenly I'm sleeping like a baby. A pleasant lavender smell, not to sweet or spicy or overpowering, and good longevity. Really impressed. I got this from the beauty vault sale so unsure what the RRP is, but the bottle is a decent size and will last a while - keen to put it in my oil burner too

This is a straight forward product that I've found for anywhere between $12-20 at different pharmacies, supermarkets, and the organics shop. It's a handy essential oil to have and can mix well with many many different falvours of other essential oils. I have taken to using it in baths (as a straight oil, a few drops is enough to make a relaxing aroma), and using it to make homemade bath bombs! Because you don't need to use much for whatever you're applying it to (headaches, massage, baths, or to give your draws a sweet fragrance) the small bottle lasts a long time.

i love their tea tree oil and lavender oil ,calms down my skin ,lighten up the skin reducing the scars i can all see these effects , not causing oiliness to your skin .

I have to admit i have been on the lavender bandwagon since way back (not just because i love the colour purple) so i am so glad this product lived up to the description on the bottle. It was easy to open and has a really useful dispenser which makes it simple to drip a few drops into water for my oil burner. it was even easier to sit back and just relax to the delicate pure wafts of this oil. My BF doesnt really like incense or oil burners but even he said he didnt mind this one - that alone is a massive win!! Also while some oils are too synthetic smelling this is gentle enough that i mixed a couple of drops in my hands with a bit of moisturiser and surprised my BF with a wee back massage - two thumbs up from me AND my BF :)
