I have just finished up a bottle of this oil. A 30ml face oil lasts me about two months. I probably tend to use more product than I need to but thats just how I roll!
This oil is packaged like pretty much any other face oil, it's in a glass jar (this one is tinited which I think helps to stop the oil detoriating so fast),and also with a dropper so you can get just a small amount out. I haven't used too many antipodes products before, and actually I'm thinking this may be my first product from the brand. I love that this is a more natural brand and also from New Zealand.
This oil is a beautiful amber colour. It stinks though, to me anyway. My sister didn't mind the smell but I never really got used to it the whole time I was using it. I have no idea what the scent is, but it is very strong. I forgive it though because this is so hydrating for my dry skin. It just soaks in and makes my skin feel so good. I personally like to use 6 drops, sometimes on a super dry day I might add another couple too. I use it at night before night cream but I've also used it before applying makeup and it works great for me like that too.
I do have a few oils in my stash but I think I'd most likely buy this again. I've actually started another oil and while I love that it doesn't have a scent, I miss the nourishing effect of this oil.
I have seen this brand around for quite a while and listened to people talk about how much they like this brand. Due to sensitive skin I'm always a bit sceptical to try new brands for fear of reaction, but I got a sample from Beautiful Christmas I think it was. So no excuse really not to give it a try right.
So glad I did. I got the wee trial version, think it was about 10ml if I remember rightly. And I loved the fact I could take this with me anywhere, even the bigger bottle is a nice size.
I love the fact that it has a dropper with it making it user friendly and lets the user use as much as they need to.
The colour is beautiful, a really nice golden colour and the smell was kind of like you would expect with most products containing either avocado or rosehip in it.
It was easy to apply and I find you don't really need a large amount, maybe the size of a pea depending on how dry your skin is. I used about the size of 20c coin as I have really dry skin and like my skin to drink it up for increased hydration.
Wow, I have to admit, after applying this, my skin actually looked good and it felt really soft too. I noticed that after this bottle had ran out, that my skin wasn't as red as it normally is and a lot more clear. It even had a wee glow to it.
Would I buy it again? Yes most definitely but in the bigger size as it didn't take me long to use it due to my extremely dry skin.
A big 5 stars from me for this product.
