Lush French Kiss Bubble Bar Review

A decadent herbal bubble bar for deep relaxation

There are a few ways one can French kiss. We like to keep it clean by French Kiss-ing in a luxurious bubble bath. (If you like it Dirty, we suggest you have a shower.) The fresh herbal fragrances of lavender, rosemary and thyme with essential oils from the hills of sun-soaked Provence go into our swirly love letter inspired by the warmth and beauty of the French countryside. It's even topped with a sprig of lavender. Lay back and relax into serene purple waters and soak up all of its relaxing benefits.

Fairly French and Fresh

I bought this gorgeous bubble bar on line with other Lush products.

It looks really cute with purple and white swirls.

I crushed half of it into a hot bath each time.

It’s kind of doughy so it wasn’t easy to crumble – if that makes sense!!! The water was soft without being greasy and made my skin feel smooth and soft – very much like the other Lush bubble bars.

The scent? Kind of piney! not as strong as it could be, and didn’t really linger on my skin.

The ingredients are rosemary and lavender so the rosemary is most likely the piney scent that dominates.

I might buy it again, and might buy some to gift to my friends and family. It is $12.50, so it would probably need to be on special for me to repurchase.

I recommend it to others to try, but have to say, there are other, nicer bubble bars in the range, given the smell of rosemary isn’t really my personal favourite.

Relaxing French Kiss

I went into a Lush store during the Mothers Day period. At that time they had gift boxes. This french kiss bubble bar was in a Relax gift box. I chose this box because I wanted to have a try of bubble bars and bath bombs. Luckily my new place has a bath so now I can have a bath more often. My partner and I went away to Hamilton and I took this bubble bar along with me.

Upon first look this bubble is pinky purple in colour. To me it looks like a soft serve ice cream shape. Just the top of it. Its texture is soft slightly grainy in texture. I like this marbelled affect is has. This scent reminds me of sweet lavender from a garden.

When I filled the spa bath I broke a piece off this bubble bar. This bubble bar crumbed into purple and pink pieces throughout the bath water. As soon as the spa jets turned on my bath bubbled up into a big fluffy white cloud. I had to turn the jets off because it was over flowing. Oppsies!

During my bath I could feel my body relaxing. My skin softened. As I relax in this warm bath I can feel all my tensions from my day melting away. That is why I enjoy lush so much.

I believe their priced fairly being vegan and made from fresh ingredients. I like to buy mine as I'm using them rather than in bulk. This bubble is great for winding down after a long day. I would definitely buy it again.

Nighty night, sleep tight

As I was walking around lush one day i picked one of these up because I love lavender, it's calming, soothing and let's me unwind.

This little mountain shaped bubble bar looks pretty in white and light purple, as soon as I open the little paper bag the gorgeous lavender scent hits.

I start running the bath and hold this cute bubble bar under the running water and watch on as a mountain of bubbles start forming, the bath water changing to a very light pink colour and that lavender scent holy moly i was lucky I didn't completely fall asleep just running the bath.

As soon as I get in the bath I feel like I am in a big bubbly cloud of lavender heaven. The lavender scent is strong, yet sweet and pleasant on the nose. I feel myself relaxing and my mind calming, I find myself not wanting to get out of the bath it is so soothing.

I love this bubble bar and if I'm wanting an absolute treat I'll pop in a twilight bath bomb with the bubble bar. That has to be my ultimate way of relaxation, away from kids, away from computers and away from the farm can't get any better than that. I will always be repurchasing this.

YAASSS perfect before bedtime to unwind

One of the first and most repurchased bubble bar.

This is creates a bath that you must take before bedtime as the creamy bubbles with the lavender heady aroma leaves you drained, comforted and sleepy.

I love how this is designed to mimic a Hersey Kiss , whipped up to a peak with the purple streaks showcasing that it is lavender mottled throughout it's makeup Only occasionally do I get it with the lavender spike still attached at the top, this seems to shake loose quite often in transit, but when I do have it, it floats nicely among the bubbles keeping the lavender aroma topped up throughout the duration of your bath time.

Crumbing this, which does seem a shame to destroy it's prettiness, under running warm water sees it transfer your bath water into a mountain of soft, creamy white, pearl like bubbles that are created by the mass load, so that once you sink in your are surrounded by bubble mountains.

Turning your water a lovely soft lavender hue that is creamy to soften your skin. Once you can convince yourself that you can not top that water up with hot anymore or it'll spill onto the floor so you have to get out, your body is soft, your mind is relaxed and the only thing you can manage to do is flop into bed. Definitely not a morning bath product.

French Kiss Bubble Bar

After talking about Lush and baths with some fellow beauty lovers I decided a rather fancied trying a lavender bath. So naturally I looked to see what Lush had to offer.

Lush's French Kiss Bubble Bar is lavender, rosemary and thyme scented. Personally I think a pure lavender bubble bar would have been even better but each to their own. For me the rosemary and thyme were just extra scents that muddled the relaxing aroma that comes with lavender.

To look at the bubble bar is purple and white with a sprig of lavender on it. It looks cute, romantic and I think would make a great gift.

In the bath, it makes the water a pale lavender colour and mostly smells of lavender but mixed in with a bit of rosemary and thyme which the later two remind me more of food smells. The bubbles were plentiful and as always I used spa bath jets to get the most out of the bubbles.

Tips: Lavender can help with sleep and headaches so try this bubble bar in a bath before bed to get the best relaxation benefits.

Lavender Deliciousness!

I bought the older version of this in the Christmas sale as it was half price and I hadn't tried it yet. The purple and white swirled together and really caught my attention, and reminded me of the colors of the Twilight bomb.

The bomb is 100g in size and it is on the small side, but I got several baths out of it as I have a small tub and I'm not that fond of bubbles to begin with. It crumbled quite easily and I put it in my sieve ready for the water to cascade over it.

Oh my. The smells that came off of it! I smelled nothing but lavender fields and I was in heaven. It claims to have rosemary but I didn't particularly find this scent very strong - in fact I barely noticed it. If I hadn't looked up the size I wouldn't have even known it was in there!

The bomb bubbled fairly well, but as I didn't use a lot, nor do I really like bubbles, this isn't an overly big deal for me. The coloring of the bubble bar changed the color of the water slightly, to a creamy light purple.

This is a gorgeous bomb and I am definitely going to buy a few more!

Same Shaz - I'm not keen on lots of bubbles as I find they go cold faster than the water and that annoys me!
