I've previously used Red Seal toothpaste and wasn't a fan, but decided to give this version ago after receiving it from someone else. I know of baking soda as a whitener so thought this may be more effective than the standard variety.
This has a particularly strong baking soda taste compared to other toothpastes I have tried and I found it pretty unappealing. Like the standard herbal toothpaste it has a very gritty texture. It reminds me a lot of that gritty paste you get given at the dentist.
In terms of performance, I haven't noticed much difference in the few weeks I have been using it compared to my usual toothpaste except I have been experiencing more sensitivity but I'm not sure whether this is directly as an effect of the toothpaste or not.
I won't be repurchasing this again mainly based on it's lack of effective oral hygiene ingredients (yay fluoride!) but also because I just don't like it as a product itself.
I heard about this stuff, through a group, and everybody starting using it and raving. I joined the herd and bought one. stopped using my regular sensodyne, and used it for a week. I could feel a shine due to ingredients in it, but at the same time, they were too harsh for my teeth and i could feel sensitivity with hot and cold water. It actually works wonders for people who are careful with eating habits and not having sweet tooth, but in my case i tend to be careless and need my regular life saver, else i'll land up in trouble. so trial was over in a week, and i was back to my fav toothpaste. I would use it again but occasionally, coz baking soda used regularly, does make ur teeth not very happy, and erase off essential enamel.
