Bic Soleil Savvy Disposable Shavers

When looking for budget friendly, quantity and quality I can't go past Bic Soleil Savvy Disposable Shavers. I find they give me a smooth finish on anything I shave and cutting is minimized which is a biggy for me considering I have scars on my legs which some are raised. I love the fact you get four shaver heads where in some much more expensive shavers you get two which doesn't last long when you shave legs and underarms and other things often which dulls the blades fast. For value for money I am very impressed with these shavers and will repurchase every time

Tips: Moisturize afterwards to prevent dry skin

Not as good as I expected

I had high hopes as I love the Soleil disposable shavers.. and thought great... less wastage, fresh heads when I want at a click. I actually got annoyed with how fast these would go blunt and found myself replacing heads more frequently than the regular disposables by about half the time and I didn't feel as smooth as I usually do after shaving. I also found that the heads were quite hard to press on and take off but I know that is normally a good thing but I recommend replacing the heads with dry hands. All and all they are alright and do a good enough job but I will be sticking to the regular disposables next time.

Much less wasteful!

These are much less wasteful than traditional disposable razors which is a good thing as I always feel guilty throwing these things away after only minimal use. These aren't quite as good as the higher priced shaving systems and the blades are still quick to dull (like your traditional disposables) but they are well priced and do a good job for what they are. It is nice to have a decent grippy handle rather than a cheap uncomfortable plastic one and it has a bit of a flexy bend to it which helps it glide nicely which minimises accidental cuts, the conditioning strip wears away pretty quickly but doesn't worry me too much as I use a separate product to shave with. Overall good value and I appreciate the less wasteful approach yet the same value as disposable razors.

Affordable option

I picked these up from The Warehouse on special when on holiday and I was in need of a decent but affordable option. Bic Soleil Savvy Diposable Shavers offer both convenience and a pretty decent shave.

The design is pretty and pink so easily identifiable as yours in the shower! It's also ergonomic as fits nicely in the hand and is comfortable to hold, especially in comparison to the cheaper disposable razors.

It didn't quite have the performance as some of the more expensive ones I have tried, not quite as close and precise but my skin still felt smooth (as commented by the boyfriend - smooth legs!). They also didn't irritate my skin.

I'm a big fan of the choice to have the disposable heads with reusable handle, it means you create much less waste than standard disposables but it's still fantastic value for money. I'd repurchase again.

Disposable is an understatement!

Bic have been a favourite of mine for many years and when I saw these ones I had to try them. I really like how the regular Bic range has a disposable collection but the handles are quite cheaply made. These ones on the other hand look like they had spent a little more effort and time on the packaging and the actual razor itself. These costs me around $7 when I brought them which is an average price when Im buying disposable razors.

The handle of the razor fits into your hand comfortably, it gives you a lot of control and its easy to manoeuvre behind your legs. I like how you can change the angles and the head of the razor will follow your movements.

I was disappointed with the razor. One of the reasons was it would clog very easy when shaving, it didn't matter if the hair was long or short, it would get stuck in between the 3 blades which I rarely have a problem with the regular Bic range. The second problem is the blades get blunt very quickly, by the third shave I'm already getting light razor burn which isn't normal for me.

I have used 2 packs of these razors and I get the same problem. I wont be purchasing this range of Bic razors, instead I will stick to their regular collection.

Fair value

I grabbed this on special at the supermarket as it appeared to be good value, the razor looks decent for $8 and it comes with 4 cartridges of 3 blades. The razor handle has grippy bits where you place your pointer finger to hold it, another grippy pad on the under-side where you rest your ring finger, and a grippy strip all the way around so it's comfortable to hold and shouldn't slip from your hand. For extra comfort and ease of holding the razor there is an arched dome type rise in the end of the handle that helps it to sit nicely in your palm.

This razor delivers a fairly smooth shave not quite as close as I would ideally like it to get, I can faintly feel very fine stubble if I rub firmly against the grain with the palm of my hand. That is first use too with a fresh catridge, although it's minimal and I think maybe the reason I notice it is because I was accustomed to a superior 5 bladed razor when I switched to this. There's a little flexibility in movement of the razor head so it kind of moulds itself around the curves. I leave this razor in the shower and the gel strip has disolved within about a week,by then the blades are getting pretty dull, time to change the cartridge anyway.

My usual problem with cheap disposable razors is irritation, causing drying and a mild burning sensation. I don't have that problem with this one so i'm happy with it for the price.

Cheap and disposable

I bought these when they were on special at the supermarket - I'm not that fussed with razors and usually will just buy whatever is cheap.

The handle is comfortable to hold and is not too big or heavy like some other razors. The blades snap in easily and have little plastic covers that you can slide off to use and back on to store them.

Each new blade gives a nice close shave, though I find I cut myself in tricky spots fairly often (around my ankle bones). After a couple of uses the blades become very dull and don't remove hair nearly as effectively.

Tips: Replace the blades regularly to maintain a close shave

A comfortable disposable

My beautiful wee pink handled disposable razor, comes with a razor head attached and 4 new razor heads in a handy we cartridge pack. For a razor it did its job off with the stubble I was left nice and smooth. Just put some pre shave goodies on my bits I needed to de fuzz and away I went around all the corners and boney bits. It has 3 blades and a lubricating strip the head also pivots and the handle is nice to hold not slippery at all nearly a soft plastic texture. I did nearly have a nervous breakdown changing the head, it has an eject button but oh I did have strife every time trying to get the new blade on. It's a cheap disposable razor it does the job I'm more than happy to repurchase this as I do throw razors away.

Tips: Change the heads with dry hands and good light

Not my favourite

I have tried most razors out on the market, if they are on special I like to buy them to see if they are superior to my usual schick razor I use.

Also, I was going on holiday and needed some new razors, and this seemed like a good deal, so in the trolley it went. It's definitely an affordable option, as most razors only have the to blade refills.

The packaging is fun and funky, with its pretty pink colour - I like feminine colours for my razors, and it deters the fiancée from using my razor!

The razor feels nice and it is easy to manoeuvre over your legs. The shave I get from this razor is okay, but certainly not as good as more expensive models, like my Schick. I also cut myself slightly a few times.

So overall, these do an average job of shaving your legs but I much prefer other razors as I feel they do a far superior job.

I wouldn't rush to buy this razor again in the future.

Not the Best

I had been using Gillette Venus for a long time. I thought I would give this Bic Soleil Savvy Disposable Shavers a go to see if it is any good. The pink packaging looks very nice and feminine. It comes with a disposable handle and 4 refillable cartridges. The razor glides smoothly on my legs and it is easy to hold and control. It is also light weight and grips well. However, it slightly irritates my skin even I use shaving cream and it has lubricating strips around the cartridge. The razor makes my skin look red and becomes itchy due to ingrown hair. The blades don't stay sharp for very long but it is cheap enough to repurchase. You have to buy a new package every time you finish all the cartridges. (which means you get a new handle as well). The cartridges are not available by themselves.
