I'm sorry...not for me

I bought two shades of this at Wgtn airport on a whim, and haven't used either since. While the display, packaging and presentation were superb, the lipstick was too waxy for me, and I found the colours looked so much more faded in the broad daylight than they had under the synthetic lights in the shop. A shame, because I really did want to support this brand, as their ethos is lovely. I hope these lipsticks work better for others than they did for me.

50/50

50% of me loved this. 50% of me felt like I had wasted my money. I'll keep this review short and sweet...much like the staying power of the lipstick.

I loved the colour (Laughter) it was beautiful and so smooth. However, the lipstick has some of the worst staying power i've ever seen and I was re-applying it every 10-15 minutes, not to mention despite how waxy it felt, it dried my lips out something crazy.

Love the colour but unfortunately the formula is terrible.

Yes to waxy. Maybe as it's a natural lipstick?

So wanted to love this...

I am a huge advocate of LN, love their products. I purchased 'Bloom' a lovely antique rose colour as a special $40 and it included a free lip hydrator. I find the staying power of this is virtually 0, the texture is waxy and really doesnt look nice on my lips :-( I'm so sad as this was a huge purchase for me and I have had other lipsticks from them before that have been lovely. The packaging is great and the lip hydrator that came with it is good to keep in my handbag. but I'm so sorry, the lipstick just doesnt do it for me.

Tips: Try using a lip pencil all over first then apply two coats and some balm over top to increase wear time.

Living nature lipstick

The lipstick bullet is unique as is the canister it comes in the idea of an all natural New Zealand made product is appealing as far as I know though there are only three or four shades which is a bit of a let down but there is one to suit most people and you can build up the intensity we sell this at work and many ladies look and do not like what they see with the bullet in the packaging but are pleasantly surprised and like when I have applied it on them and shown them they different looks they can get by building up the layers at around $40 its not cheap but this product does not seem to feather which is a bonus - no need for a pencil lip liner.

I find $40 quite expensive too.

Clinique High Impact Mascara Reviews

Pretty foolproof

I have skittish eyes after a childhood of eye drops, so applying mascara tends to be hazardous. This isn't too bad, though! I can remove any clumps pretty easily with a couple of strokes, and it dries quickly.

Unfortunately, this isn't remotely tear-proof. If I'm going to a sad movie I can't even think about wearing it - and it's currently my only mascara. Next time I'll try to find something more waterproof.

Clinique High Impact Mascara

I also received this in a gwp when I purchased some Clinique products. I was excited to try this as I had been using an eye lash serum and they were looking good, and I thought they would look even better with a great mascara.

I was so dissapointed with this. I didnt get any more volume or length and the colour didnt have much of an impact either. It seemed to dry out during the day and started falling off my lashes. I am happy I didnt "pay"for this mascara.

Creamy yes, matte no

I probably should have tested them before i brought them, the shad i brought was first class, lovely, very pigmented, very creamy, but not matte. I felt a little mislead by the description because its more like a very pigmented lipgloss, there is nothing lipstick about this, there is nothing Matte about this, so i wouldnt use it again or re-purchase it again i wouldnt recommend it to a friend as a matte liquid lipstick but if they asked my opinion i would say its a very highly pigmented, creamy long lasting lipgloss. Its actually very similar to NYX Butter glossw. I gave mine away to my friend she enjoyed it more than i did.

I agree - they are like very pigmented glosses but thicker!

So disappointed

I LOOOOOVE the colours! But how can they be creamy matte? They just bleed all over my face, messy and sticky. I got two and used one once and that was it! So sad :(

Tips: Don't expect matte!

I wasn't expecting a full on matte but I don't find it to be matte at all. It's more like a lipstick.

Matte?

I had high hopes for these lipsticks but sadly they missed the mark. I picked up Socialite, which is the lightest pink in the collection and I admit, I loved the pigmentation, the colour is beautiful but trying to get it to set to matte.... Argh!! If you apply a THIN coat to the lips, wait, blot, then apply a second layer and repeat, you can achieve a matte finish but really?? The effort it takes to get this to look good on the lip is not worth the pay off! I really like the shape of the applicator, the long thin tip makes for easy application but I found that there was always too much product on the applicator. I always had to scrape it off back into the tube, with some squeezing out of the tube once closed....a mess!

Finally found my perfect red!

I picked this up in the shade hot mamma last year and it's been sitting at the bottom of my makeup drawer until the other day when I thought I'd give it another go. I've been really getting into my red matte lipsticks lately but my lips needed a break so I thought I'd try this on the off chance it might stack up to my ruby woo. It did.

Like a lot of the chichi lip hybrids, these do require a bit of work and practice to get them looking right. The formula is extremely wet so be careful because it will slide around your lips when you first apply it. Treat this like a lipstick (apply, blot, apply, blot, and you'll notice it will stay a lot longer and minimize transfer. Just be aware that you will need to reapply, especially after eating and drinking. The colour itself is a bright, blue toned red that looks amazing on my light skin tone.

Tips: As mentioned above this requires a bit of work to get it right. Exfoliate your lips beforehand, blot with a tissue to remove any surface moisture which will stop the formula from settling. Apply, blot, apply, blot, and always make sure you check your teeth before you leave the house!

I have Status and you have convinced me to dig it out again and wear it as you do by blotting and layering. Thanks!
