Maybelline Volum' Express The Falsies Big Eyes Mascara Review

I thought that the idea of having a brush to suit top and bottom lashes was innovative and possibly allowed for better lashes. I can't say that I noticed huge differences though. Obviously the bigger brush had a bit more to give, but the finished effect didn't look much different to any other Maybelline mascara.

In terms of packaging the mascara is split in 2 with 2 ends that have mascara in them. And they are packaged in a funky black and pink tube.There is a larger brush for the top lashes and a smaller one for the bottom lashes. I found swapping brushes ended up being annoying.

Verdict: it's a clever idea but I've choosen to move on to a different mascara.

I was lucky enough to be gifted this when it first came out, but i have only just gotten around to reviewing it. I was excited about this, but only because of the lower lash wand. and thats where my excitment stops. I use alot of MNY mascara's and there is one line that i find doesnt work for me, and that is the Falsies line, and this mascara falls under that umbrella. The formula is very similar to the other falsies ones, and i find it to be quite clumpy and it flakes. I LOVE the lower lash wand, as it is the perfect size for me. packaging is ok, and price is good. I would tell my mates about this. but i will tell them why i dislike this one. Other MNy mascaras, i really like xx

I was very excited to try out the Maybelline Volum' Express The Falsies Big Eyes Mascara, because I loved the other Falsies products, and had never tried out a mascara designed specifically for lower lashes before. I was very pleased with this mascara!

It comes in cute purple and black packaging, with a different wand at each end. At one end there's the top lashes wand, and at the other there's a smaller wand for the lower lashes. I found both wands were excellent at highlighting even the tiniest or finest of my lashes, and the formula made them thick and long within moments. I found this product lasted well all day, and will definitely use again! :)

I need big lashes like I need to breathe. I saw the name The falsies big eyes' along with the brand Maybeliine so of course it had to come home with me. I bought this on a 30% off sale at the time so got it for less than RRP which I thought was a great deal. That was until I started using it and was highly disappointed in it. Now the formula I find is very sticky and leaves me wiping excess on the tube so not to drop it on the floor or on my clothes.

I thought having two separate brushes for each set of lashes in the unique shape to get the maximum effect on them would be great but it turns out that I actually can't use the two wands in a way that works. i find that with my big hands I can't control the wands like I need to. The bottom lashes definitely look bigger when using this but my top lashes don't look much different in length or volume other than tinted black. My top lashes ended up very clumpy and made them stick together. Where was my false lashes look? Where is my volume? Nowhere! That's where. It doesn't even happen. It just gives my lashes a tinted look nothing overly noticeable. It was almost like the mascara was off in the way that it went on and looked. Not a fan at all!!

I fell in love with the Colossal Cat Eyes mascara by Maybelline and was keen on trying more of their mascaras. I decided on this one so I'd be able to do my bottom and top lashes with one mascara.

I really liked the bottom lash wand for my bottom lashes and still use it reguarly. It added length and volume to my bottom lashes and was hardly clumpy. However the dissapointment was in the top lash. It was incredibly clumpy and flaked off during the day. After 2 hours of lessons I found myself having to remove it when I got flakes of mascara in my eye!

I was torn between throwing this mascara out since the bottom lash worked so well for me but the top lash was so horrendous on my eyes. I will be throwing out this out when the bottom lash runs out and not repurchasing it. It's a shame it's so pricy for a mediocre product.

This mascara honestly made me look like a porcelein doll. The mascara wand for the top lashes definitely makes your eyes look all spidery and delicate like a doll and layering the bottom lashes make your eyes look a lot bigger and innocent.

To be honest, I have those eyelashes where even a dollar store mascara will make them long and voluptuous, so of course this worked wonders for me. The only let down would be the fact that the bottle is considerably smaller as it's a 1/2 and 1/2 type deal. The brush is really neat, and gets everything as it should. It really helps spread out your eyelashes & keeps them light and feathery so you don't look like you're wearing falsies. The bottom lash brush was great too - it made my bottom eyelashes stand out in a way I've never seen before. I am generally pretty picky on mascara and have only ever owned the same one once (which was of course the Maybelline Great Lash) so I don't know if I'll buy again when I run out. I think everyone needs to try this out - if it won't work for you, it's bound to work for someone within your friend circle!

So I finally got this mascara after hearing so many great things and seeing constant adverts And I was slightly let down It is a good mascara, but not THE mascara for me. The upper lashes brushes is too little for my liking, not enough bristles for that big volume look. But I do love the lower lashes brush. Perfect size and stops those nasty mascara smudges when I do lower lashes with a normal brush. I think I'll keep trying to find the perfect mascara for me but might purchase again for that lower lashes brush

I saw this and had to buy it right away only to be a tad disappointed. It has two seperate wands one for lower lashes and one for top lashes. I found the lower lash end great! Its small and perfect for your lower lashes and has a nice formula that doesnt clump your lashes and has a natural look. I found the top lash side was not as great the formula was weird and it didnt transfer well to my lashes and made little clumps on lashes so i no longer use this end. Other then that it stays on good and doesnt seem to flake through out the day.
