Best powder foundation

This is a fantastic product with great coverage, which you can build up as needed. I use everyday to set my liquid foundation, or occasionally just over the top of moisturiser/primer to even my skintone. I build up to a heavier coverage for night time use. It is definitely worth the price (although is MUCH cheaper overseas so if you're travelling, stock up!) and does last a long time even when using everyday. I generally apply with a brush to avoid cakiness, however the compact comes with a sponge which I use occasionally when out just to top up on my nose and chin if I get a bit rosy! I have used this product for years and recommend it to everyone - all skin types seem to find this a great product.

Great Product

I've used this product for the last 3 years now. I use it on top of my foundation to "set" the foundation and remove shininess. On lazy days when I don't feel like putting foundation on I use this product to even my skin tone. Does a great job. The price of the product is really a bargain and one of these baby's can last me near 6 months and that's everyday use!

Tips: comes with a sponge but prefer a brush as I find sponges soak up most of the product

Better than the foundation!

Has got to be one of my favourite powder foundations!!

I purchased this online from the US Mac website when I was first starting out with makeup and wanted one of everything - a powder, foundation, eyeshadow etc etc etc (you know how it is...) So this was my first ever powder foundation purchase and I can honestly say i will not switch to any other brand!

It is everything I want/need in a powder. I love how I can just brush a tiny amount on my face and Im good for going out during the day, or build the powder up to more full coverage and be set for night! To set my powder and to make sure its not cakey I always use my Mac Fix + on top though! Even though I normally have dry skin, if i moisturise properly and prime my face I don't feel as though the powder dries my face out - it still manages to sit nicely and look nice on!

All mac packaging is super sleek and black, so it looks great and feels great in your hands. The powder comes with a small applicator sponge thing and a mirror as well, which makes it handy to touch up if you're out and about. However, through personal preference, I don't use the applicator it comes with as I much prefer to use just a normal powder brush and it seems to do the trick!

In my opinion the product is well worth the price! If you take your time and get colour matched properly and see how you look in different lighting then you will love it! Such an easy to use product which I would definitely recommend to all!

Tips: Make sure you moisturise and prime your face properly to make sure the powder stays on and doesnt look cakey! Also, if you use the Mac strobe cream before applying the powder then itll give your skin a nice glow too!

so powdery <3

Ahhh This is always the one and only powder foundation i would trust, one thing it stays . And its gives so much coverage, I loove using it before and or after i apply foundation, or to use by its self for a more natural look, -and it can be build-able if used with a brush. This is the only foundation i have found that can cover my nose which gets really dry and flakes, and covers my blemishes, without the hole in the middle.

use a primer and this powder and you're ready to go.

Tips: use a primer .

Best powder ever

Beautiful quick natural coverage on its own, or a matte finish to a liquid foundation. Absolutely the best. Lasts for hours, and is absolutely worth the price. I use a dusting brush to apply, as the sponge provided does not seem to suit a pressed powder

Used it for years

I have been using Studio Fix as a foundation for the past five or six years. I kind of discovered it accidentally as a teenager, and looking back I'm glad I never went back.

It isn't the cheapest foundation, but considering I use it every day it does last a long time (for me around 8 or 9 months).

MAC calls it a long-lasting foundation, and I'm not sure if I completely agree. I find that it does look thinner by the end of the day. However, I have oily skin and the product handles this very well.

I've heard many people saying that it is a product that you can build up if you need the coverage. I don't find this, as no matter how much I put on it looks the same. If I want a full cover, I have to use a liquid foundation or a BB cream underneath.

I love that it comes with a sponge for those days that I need to top-up but can't carry a brush.

Tips: Clean your sponge or brush, it ensures that the foundation goes on properly.

Must Have

I have had issues with buying MAC powders before because I seem to look cakey and I always get matched too dark and I don't live near a MAC store to replace it. I gave them one last go after I heard amazing reviews about this. I brought this a week ago and its in the most perfect shade for me, doesn't make me any lighter or darker. The second issue I've had with powders are them oxidising and me going bright orange. I thought this was due to my bronzer oxidising but my skin did not go orange, I stayed the pale white I am all day! Thirdly it doesn't look cakey at all. It gives me a little more coverage over my foundation and look barely there, as its not powdery. it helps to conceal any spots not covered by my foundation, even hiding my freckles which nothing covers. I also found that is stays in place very well although I have extremely oily skin. I got it for $60 at the Kirks and Stains MAC counter and the staff were amazing. It gives a matte appearance also.

Tips: Invest in it because it is worth your money!!! Also, a little product goes a long way!

I have found my love

Love love love love! I'm not usually big on powders but this one. She's my new best friend! This is a full coverage powder but looks so natural. I actually use it lightly on top of my foundation to set it and.. OMG. Amazing! It gives a beautiful air brushed look (hides my freckles etc) while looking velvety smooth! It settles well into the skin, it doesn't sit on top. It's a great way to also mattify your face from a dewy finish foundation. It makes my foundation last forever! Without a budge or smudge. Great for touch ups if you're on the run from work to a night out! Light, small and great to travel with. Personally I prefer to use a flat top brush or a kabuki rather than the sponge applicatior, depending on the coverage I want. This is a powder that doesn't really cling to my dry spots! (Only a little bit so yay!) It looks great In photos (no white flash back) and makes my face look smooth & feel smooth There is a great colour selection and you will be matched to your perfect colour. Love the sleek black packaging although it's a little hard to find in my bag. This product is a little on the pricey side (duh it's mac!) but honestly it lasts forever and helps you out in so many different situations! It's great my itself, as a setting powder, adding extra coverage, touchups (with a mirror if you're on the go) anything! It's like magic in a container :)

Great powder

I was really impressed with this pressed powder. I have quite oily skin and find most powders get messy but what ever the formula this one doesn't.

Light on your skin but great with coverage it's good and a setting powder or on its own. Lasts to which is good for the wallet.

Tips: Go into the store and don't be fooled into buying any colour. I've bought it twice now and the first time they gave me 10 shades darker than what I am. Get them to apply it then go for a walk. See what it looks like out of the store and go back and say what you think about it.

Setting and glasses

Well hello there MAC.

So I recently bought this powder to try again, I used it a few years ago and wasn't sold on it. After using another powder religiously for a few years I thought I'd give it another try and boy I'm glad I did.

Last Sunday I decided to try it on it's own. I have combination skin, my cheeks are dry and I get a bit oily on my chin and forehead. I used a nourishing moisturiser beforehand and it went on very nicely. It gave me a very matte look though which I'm not too keen on personally as it showss up all my bumps, but when my skin is more on the oily side I will probably use it on its own more often.

I use it in the NC15 shade, which is still a little bit too dark for me but coming up summer it should be perfect.

On a regular day I use it with a powder brush to set my foundation. Not heaps but just enough to set my foundation and give me a bit of extra coverage.

It comes in the iconic MAC packaging and also with a sponge. I use the sponge when I'm out and need a top up.

I also wear glasses, and honestly the amount of times I've given up using a foundation or powder for this reason.. No but seriously, where your glasses sit on your nose, when your glasses leave you with dents/wipe off your makeup, it's so annoying. I'm happy to say after 8 hours at work, I only needed to fix up that area once! And the rest of my face didn't need touching up, and that's pretty much why I'll be buying it again!

Tips: Dry skin be careful if you're using on it's own as it sticks to dry patches, or just use a heavy moisturiser!
