MAC Studio Fix Powder + Review

I am not too sure about this MAC product. I recently purchased this as I wanted a foundation with full cover and they (MAC)recommended this. It certainly gives you full coverage but it is very thick to apply and need to dig in to the compact as it is so thick to get out and you need a bit on the brush to apply. I also have found that this is a bit lighter (colour wise) than the equivalent colour in the liquid foundation so this product leaves me looking a bit pale. If I bought it again I would buy the next shade darker. At this stage I am not a fan, which is a shame as the idea of a foundation and powder all in one really appeals to me.

I'm not a fan of powder foundations so I tend to use this just to add some extra coverage and set my foundation. The powder applies well over the skin and isn't too heavy! The compact is so handy to touch up/blot the skin throughout the day! Well worth the money you pay.

This is my holy grail of powder. It gives amazing coverage used by itself or a smooth finish over top if the liquid foundation. It is also long lasting, a little goes a long way with the powder. Definitely worth the money. It lasts all day on my skin which is great for a powder. This is perfect if you are in a hurry and don't have time to do a full face of make up. I have never found a powder that gives full coverage before. This is a must have.

I love this powder as it adds extra coverage when applied over your favourite foundation. I love that this powder comes in a huge range of shades, suitable for any and every skin tone! I have hit pan on my second one so need to get another. All time fave!

I was given this by my sister who has quite dry skin and didn't like it, and have tried it both as a stand alone foundation and as a powder over top. While it does give you a gorgeous complexion as a foundation, I found in certain areas it was flaky, even when applied with a brush over moisturizer and mac primer. Depending on what liquid foundation I use, it can either be a great powder over top, or make your skin look a little rough. I think this would be a great product for people with more oily skin, I just can't figure it out for my dry/combination skin though. It also runs out very quickly, I barely use mine and I can already see the bottom of the compact.

A product I cannot live without. MAC studio fix powder is a makeup bag essential. It can be worn every day. Whether it be on top of moisturiser for a light everyday look or on top of foundation for a more fuller coverage. Prevents me having to reapply makeup during the day which I absolutely love. Hides any blemishish you may have too.

Love Love Love this product, I became a MAC convert about 5 years ago when I was introduced to Studio Fix by a friend, I have been using it ever since. Amazing coverage alone or with a Fluid Foundation Underneath. Long wearing, light and a fantastic array of shades to suit everyone.

I have used this product for over 10 years and I wouldn't use anything else. Great value for money and coverage, a excellent product!! it leaves my skin flawless

I love this powder it is amazing! I use my studio fix powder everyday. I use it on its own and to set my foundation. I can easily take it to school with me to touch-up during the day. It comes with a sponge but i use my brush to apply this. Im almost out of mine now and i will definitely be repurchasing!!

When being buying a liquid foundation I was also recommended to buy the studio fix powder to match (NC15). It offerings great coverage and makes my skin look flawless. The only issue I has is that it drys my skin and leaves it feeling a bit tight when using it on it's own. I will now only use it over my liquid foundation for a full coverage.
