Deceased is divine!

I bought both Deceased and Sagittarius and Deceased is definitely my fave out of the two, even though they are both great. Deceased gives my lips a deep matte brown look that is long lasting.

It applies smoothly and you only really need one coating. One tube lasts quite a while and I use mine daily. If you are someone that is prone to dry lips I would recommend applying a light coating of lip balm over the top. Overall, I love this lipstick as the color is intense but the lipstick itself is not a thick liquid, and the color stays strong throughout the night, without cracking. It's always great to find an affordable lipstick that you don't need to re-apply half a dozen times.

Another great thing about Jeffree Star's range is that all of his products are cruelty free!

Tips: A smidgen of lip balm for the dry lip sufferers, and Deceased really suits olive skin tones!

Jeffree Star Liquid Lips

I have three shades of Jeffree star Velour liquid lipsticks, Celebrity Skin, 714 and Watermelon soda.

In general, I like the lipsticks. All three feel great once they're on the lips. Once they dry down they stay on really well, pass the kiss test and last pretty well throughout a meal. They're also not drying, which is great because a lot of matte lipsticks are. The packaging is awesome, jeffree star always nails this. The plastic tube they come in is nice and small and has twist click lid so you know when you've done the bottle up when you feel the click.

On the negative side, I think they don't go on the lip as well as other liquid lipsticks I have (kylie for example). They're not quite as opaque and you do sometimes have to go over your lip a few times to get a real good, even, opaque coat. This can take a wee while as the lipsticks do take a little while to dry down.

The applicators is also a bit different from the traditional doe-foot. It's fine once you get used to it but it can feel really weird and bit the first few times you use it!

Celebrity skin is a great nude and I wear it a lot simply because it's so versatile and goes with everything. It has a root beer float scent but I don't notice it too much.

714 is a light pink that I honestly hardly ever wear. The colour just doesn't suit me and I have to put on a few layers to make the colour noticeable.

Watermelon soda is a bright pink/peach watermelon colour. I do wear this occasionally when I'm feeling brave. It has strong watermelon scent that some people may find overpowering, but you can't smell it once it's applied and dried down.

Overall, these are good liquid lips if you're looking for something not too drying.

Tips: Exfoliate lips before applying

Celebrity Skin- best nude ever!

I have a couple of Jeffree Star liquid lipsticks- unicorn blood and celebrity skin- I LOVE celebrity skin. The formula goes on smooth and even, lasts for hours and doesn't dry my lips out. It dries down nicely and doesn't transfer after about a minute. Worth the price in my opinion. Added bonus is the scent is very light and pleasant.

Tips: Celebrity Skin is the best colour nude I have found for fair skin.

Love - Adore - Amore!

I heard so many great reviews all over social media on the JS Liquid Lipstick range and decided to finally take the plunge and buy a couple of shades off his website. I started off getting a few nudes, even though the colour range at the time was quite exciting I decided to play it safe.

When they arrived the packaging was very well presented and looked very professional and of a high quality. The tube has a nice twist click sound when opening and closing - making sure you know it is closed properly for longevity. The applicator its self is a shaped doe foot applicator and to be honest it is one of my favourite tube applicators of all time! I find it easy to apply the colour as well as creating a nice sharp outline to the edge of my lips.

The product itself is highly pigmented and requires only one coat - it is very fast drying and has great lasting power! I can do a whole 8 hour shift at work including drinking hot drinks and lunch break without reapplying!

Scent-wise it all depends on what you have got - some of them are scented with limited edition scents like root-beer float but the scents do not stick around on the lips just during the initial application. The ones I have all are on the sweeter side of scents.

I have since expanded my collection and I have now got five with some more exciting colours! I love how there are holiday collections and different scents - the range definitely has had a lot of time and thought put into it and I think it is a great product. Highly recommend!!!

Tips: Make sure to prime your lips ready for any liquid matte lipstick by exfoliating with a scrub.

Jeffree Star Liquid Lipstick - Review

A while after Christmas I decided to pick one of these up from a Beauty Bliss pop-up store, and I wasn't disappointed! I chose the shade Mannequin, which is in between his classic shades I'm Nude and Celebrity Skin. It's the perfect nude for me, as I'm pale but didn't want too light a colour.

This comes in a plastic tube, with a pink cap. The writing is in rose gold, which I love. I've never seen a lipstick that looks like these, making it easily distinguishable. The applicator is a fluffy doe foot brush, with a curve that conforms to your lips and holds product. I love this applicator, it does such a good job of applying product smoothly and allows me to outline my lips easily. One of the things I like the most about this product is the smell - it is heavenly. This is meant to smell like root beer float, but I think it smells like candy and sometimes I even find myself opening the tube just to smell it. The consistency of this lipstick is quite thin, but the colour is opaque in one swipe and I only need one dip to cover my entire mouth. They dry down within a couple of minutes to a matte finish and are pretty much transfer-proof (I've worn this out and eaten a burger and they've stayed on fine!). One thing I would recommend is not to press your lips together while applying, I've found that this ensures the lipstick does not transfer once dried down. These lipsticks last all day for me and don't dry my lips out like other liquid lipsticks, which is a plus.

Overall, I would definitely recommend these lipsticks. There is a huge shade range, so there will be something for everyone including those of different skin tones, and the lipsticks are so high quality! Definitely a holy grail for me.

My favourite

My go to liquid lipstick!

Have 4 already and don't see myself stopping. It has a beautiful smooth colour, stays on all night and doesn't crack.

Best liquid lipstick I've tried!

I was so excited to try these lipsticks, so I bought 2 (Celebrity Skin & Dollparts). I don't wear Dollparts too often but Celebrity Skin is my all time favourite nude lipstick. The formula is amazing - it lasts all day and doesn't dry out my lips unless I didn't put lip balm on that day. I love the packaging too. Everything about them is great, I will definitely be buying more.

Tips: Exfoliate and use lip balm prior to applying

Jeffree Star Androgyny

When androgyny arrived in my Beautylish lucky bag I wasn't that enthused by it after having heard about all "The Drama" by the creator Jeffree Star, so buying this willingly was probably not going to happen. But since it arrived with the bag I would give it a go.

The look of the tube is supposed to attract the eye with a pink top and clear body, the liquid lipstick colour is easily visible in there with the inside shaped into a U shape rather than following the outside line of the tube. The writing on the tube is in light metallic pink, making them highly identifiable.

The liquid itself felt rather thin in application compared with a normal lipstick. The doe foot applicator is also a little bigger than most other doe foots I have seen, my Revlon matt hd is the only other big applicator I have. The product glides on quickly and easily before drying down matte. Once dry there is minor transfer with the lipstick getting a tacky feel. I found the tackiness was less when compared to a lip gloss and it wasn't a deal breaker for me. I found that this lasted against most things except oil or fat, so touch ups weren't really necessary. It also had a slight drying effect on my lips, again not a deal breaker but something to watch out for.

I am slightly torn on buying more of this brand, if I was to get another in a lucky bag I would wear it but I don't know if I would go and buy this brand intentionally.

My lips love it!

Ever since the Jeffree Star liquid lipsticks came out to the market, I’ve seen them around everywhere. The liquid lipsticks are all vegan and cruelty free. I finally bought myself in one in the shade redrum which is a beautiful velvet red colour. It came in a tube with an applicator.

I apply a layer of the Jeffree Star liquid lipstick to exfoliated lips with the applicator. I love the applicator, it’s nothing like the others I’ve tried. The applicator helps the shade apply smoothly and evenly onto my lips. I like the texture as well, my lips felt moisturised the whole time I wore it. The shade matte but never over drying.

It’s not kiss proof, food or drink proof, but I still love it. The Jeffree Star liquid lipsticks are expensive but worth it for the price. I can’t wait to try the other shades!

Tips: Exfoliate your lips before applying the liquid lipstick

LOVE LOVE LOVE!

These liquid lips are 100% work your money. There is such a great range of colours and they are so easy to apply. The applicator is shaped for the lip which makes it easier to get fine lines around the edge of the mouth. And the packaging is great as you can feel a click when it is closed and open. Only wish i had more money to buy them all!
