I was super excited to give this shampoo & conditioner a go, thanks to the 'You won't believe it's hair' BBBE. I'd never tried a pricier shampoo & conditioner before, so these were a treat, and the shiny mint green squeezy tube packaging makes them look different, a bit special, and very attractive in my opinion.
I absolutely love the fragrance of this conditioner, (and it's quite different from the shampoo.) It's a resfreshing break from the typical floral and fruity scents of hair -care products, as it smells of freshly cut herbs (parsley & rosemary), and peppermint! The herby scent reminds me a bit of the 'Goodness everyday cream cleanser', but the addition of peppermint oil is completely new to me of a hair-care product.. It's a unique scent? When my hair has dried, it kind of smells as if I've used something organic..
Unfortunately however, this conditioner doesn't do much for me in a practical sense, likely to be because it's just not well suited to my hair type. My hair is bleached and color damaged, very thick and prone to frizziness.. The last thing that I need is additional volume..
I'm still having the same old issues with frizziness & dryness since using this conditioner (with the shampoo), which i've been using for approximately 3 weeks, and i'm still currently using. This conditioner is no where enough hydrating and smoothing for me, which is a pity as I had contemplated enjoying using this shampoo & conditioner combo. To be fair, my hair does seem to be very strong since using this, looks reasonably healthy (frizz issues aside - after straightening), not noticing much shine though.
If your hair is very dry, thick, and very much prone to frizziness, I would sternly advise against trying this one. On the other hand, if you have thin and overly oily damaged hair, then it might be worth a shot.. If you're prepared to spend RRP $ 34.00 on this shampoo & conditioner combo.
This product came in the “You Won’t Believe It’s Hair” BBBE. The shampoo came with it.
I’m not ashamed to say I am a huge L’Oreal fan, and more and more so since getting these beauty boxes – the products are amazing. So I was excited to see a shampoo and conditioner from L’Oreal in the hair box.
The conditioner comes in a shiny green tube with a flip top. Easy peasy, and while I'm only half way down the tube, I can see that squeezing out the last bits of the product won’t be hard, so there won’t be any waste.
The scent is gorgeous, botanical and fresh. The product claims to be enriched with botanical oils and aromatic sandalwood, which it says is responsible for the scent. Lovely. It says it has Rosemary, but there is not so much that it is over powering.
The product is a thick white cream. I probably use a bit much, because I love to smear conditioner through my long hair, but it is probably unnecessary.
I’ve been using it for a few weeks now with the shampoo and I find my hair is clean, shiny, and fresh, without frizz, and more sleek than usual. I’m not sure that it is strengthened exactly, but it does have a little more body and no issues with tangling, which is good as tugging causes my fine hair to break. I guess that is strengthening when you think about it!
I think this is a lovely conditioner and it feels luxurious and classy. I will continue using it, and I recommend it to others to try. $17 might seem pricey for a conditioner, but it is a 250ml tube, you don’t need too much (unless you like to marinate your hair like I do!) and I think it is worth paying a bit more for a high quality product.
Tips: Use with the shampoo.
