TJ's tips

It feels pretty good on your hands but I find it a heavy cream and the effects of the hand cream don't seem to last that long. Has a nice aroma but feels quite greasy on

Tips: Best a night as it's quite greasy

Pricey but worth it!

I was really skeptical about this hand cream as it is very pricey and I have heard mixed things about it. I went into my local L'Occitane and tried the tester then went for a wander around the mall for a couple of hours by the time I was ready to leave my hands still felt great after I had washed them a couple of times tried on shoes etc etc so I went back to get a tube. It is quite concentrated so you don't need much. It smells great, its nice that its not too over-powering which I really like especially with the job I do, my hands are close to peoples face a lot and you don't want the scent to be too offensive. I use this as an over night cuticle cream also and it works great. My partner is a laborer so his hands get a hard time and it is the only cream he has tried that works. Even buy a small tube to give it a go, once you've tried its a must have!

Magic Mitts

Beautiful, rich and silky - this hand cream glides on like a dream and moisturises skin really well.

L'Occintane Shea Butter is a great product, it feels lovely and luxurious, it has a neutralish scent, and the tube is nice and compact so is easy to pop into a hand bag.

Only downer is that it is an expensive product - definitely a splurge/treat item!

Instant moisture!

Up until a month or 2 ago I had never heard of this brand. Now it's like why has no one told me I needed it!

My first try was a deluxe sample size of the hand cream that came free with a magazine. Then and there it was instant love and first feel. I have now brought the large tube of this.

The tube is simple and elegant. No frills kind of deal. The cream inside it really thick. You only need a pea size! I have really dry hands and they react to fragrance. I struggle finding a hand cream that can throw mega amounts of moisture in without the greasy feel. Well I have now. My hands feel smooth and look less old when I use this. The gorgeous soft feel lasts for hours. The fragrance is a soft smell. I think it's the Shea I can smell. It's not offensive or floral so 2 ticks for that.

Yes it's very pricy for a large tube, but you only need a small amount. The 2 deluxe sizes has last ages even sharing them around for friends to use.

Long Lasting Moisturising Hand Cream

My impressions of this hand cream were that it was luxurious, high quality and expensive.

The hand cream is very moisturising and long lasting in its moisture giving. A lot of hand creams I've encountered don't give a long lasting mositurising feel and need to be reapplied regularly. This one lasts which is good considering the price difference.

The price would be the thing I struggled most with for this hand cream. As a gift it is a wonderful hand cream, but I don't know if I could always justify buying it for myself.

The tube was also interesting. I'm really not a fan of these no frills tubes, I like something more elegant looking and I think L'Occitane could have done a lot more presentation wise.

So all in all a beautiful hand cream.

Nourishing Niceness

lovely hand cream, very nourishing with a pleasant smell that was not over powering. The tube is simple and cute. The Cream itself is thick and so you only need a small amount, which can make this more affordable, however I feel there are other hand creams which give a similar result for less $$.

Shea Magic!

I received a small size of this in the Christmas 15' advent calendar. I have used L'occitane products before but not the Shea butter range.

The packaging is a silver tube with a dark blue screw lid. The hand cream comes out fairly easily, so no complaints there.

It is quite a rich cream so you only need a small amount to cover your hands. It smells a bit like lavender and you can definitely notice it once applied to your hands. I really like how this doesn't feel greasy like some hand creams do once applied.

This hand cream is very nourishing on my dry hands. I used this up over the course of a week. My hands have always been sensitive and dry and I really notice a difference in their softness and texture.

I will probably repurchase this cream at some point when I can afford too.

Moisturising and effective

The packaging is not the greatest since I don't really like the tin packages. They can bend and break, and the lid doesn't screw on particularly well.

However, the product inside it makes up for it. It is so rich and creamy that a little really goes a long way! It's so thick and balmy but still blends really easily and is just soaked up by the skin. It's a real life-changer and hands remain moisturised for a long time, even after washing. It doesn't feel greasy either and plumps up and nourishes the skin.

It definitely smells of lavender but isn't overpowering and is a dream to use. The only downside is the price - it's hard to justify spending $50 on hand cream.

Soft hands in an instant!

I got a teeny 10ml mini of this in the fabulous L'occitane 2015 advent calendar. It has lived in my handbag ever since. It may be teeny in size but it packs a punch. I love L'occitane hand-creams and this one has 20% Shea butter (twice that of most of their hand creams)

It's a very rich, opaque cream. You only need a tiny sliver to fully moisturise both hands. It sinks in instantly and you can get on with any task straight away without slippery, sticky hands. It has quite a strong scent - a little bit lavender and a little bit something else that I can quite place. It's definitely a smell I would associate with the L'occitane brand. It's how I imagine the south of France smells in summer. Sadly, this is the closest I will get to the south of France in summer for quite sometime!

I do still have to re-apply hand cream throughout the day when I use this so its not my 'holy grail'. I still like to apply something heavier at bed time to moisturise my hands during the night.

Tips: L'occitane can be pricey but be sure to check out their stores and websites. They have amazing GWPs filled with deluxe minis which often includes perfume!

Not a fan of the scent, a little goes a long way

I have a cute little 10ml version of this. It comes in a silver tube with a cute cartoon image of a woman skipping and love-hearts. I thought the packaging was a lovely touch. The hand cream is thick and white and I find it quite economical as the teeniest amount goes a long way. A little bit of this is enough to fully moisturize my hand and elbows. Despite this being a 10ml tube, it actually lasted me quite a while. The hand cream is quite thick and feels luxurious. It does a decent job at hydrating my hands but I do find I need to reapply it several times a day. Other cheap hand creams seem to do a better job so I wouldn't repurchase this for that reason. I really did not enjoy the scent of this and that's why I've rated this so low. I normally enjoy the scent of jasmine flowers but this kind of smelt a bit granny-ish to me. The scent reminded me of when people use air freshener to hide a bad smell but the freshener mixes with the smell and smells worse. I just really found the scent unpleasant and it was quite strong so I wouldn't use this again. Overall, this is quite economical for the size, but I've tried better cheaper hand creams and I just didn't enjoy the scent.

Tips: A little of this hand cream goes a long way so only squeeze out the tiniest amount.
