L'Oréal Paris preference wild ombre shade two

So I was excited to try out this product. I watched some YouTube videos on the application process and it looked easy enough so I jumped right in! I was surprised about how easy it is to apply, the brush it comes with is really good (I'll be keeping mine lol) so as I'm applying it my hair is already getting lighter which I thought was great. I left it in for around 40mins it says no longer than 45mins. I was slightly worried I would get a harsh line where the ombre starts but the brush is really good and prevents that. I let my hair air dry and when it was fully dry I went to the mirror to inspect.. My hair was soo dry from the dye, and it's turned out a brassy colour, which I semi expected because I have really dark brown dyed hair. It does do a really good job lightning I would say my hair is around 4 shades lighter. Personally I wouldn't recommend this to people that have really dark dyed hair because it will be brassy. I would recommend it to people with lighter brown hair it would definitely be worth it. Overall I think it's a great product on the right hair type :)

Tips: If you have long hair start the ombre around the chin. If you have shorter hair start around ears :)

Undelivered on promise.

I was lucky to be chosen to review L'Oreal's wild ombré hair colour. I was excited to review this product as I miss my ombré style I had last year and wanted it back! I read the instructions on how to apply as it comes with a little brush which you use to brush the bleach through. I mixed the product and proceeded with excitement. At the start I found it weird/hard to use the brush especially at the back, my hair is quite thick and wavy so hard to run the brush through without my hair knotting and breaking. But I carried on using it as per instructions. 20mins later screw the brush and started to apply with my hands, running it threw my hair from around the ear down especially at the ends. It says to leave in for 25-45mins I left it in for 2 hours hoping for a dramatic results but no… I washed it out and blowdried my hair only to see the colour difference was maybe 2 shades lighter if that, What a let down. But there were some good points about this product, I found that the bleach didn't have a strong chemical smell like usual bleach kits (hence the lack of colour difference I guess) also after washing my lightened hair felt really soft and nice. So the results weren't sooo bad that I have to run to the supermarket for a quick box dye fix before the morning but I'll be surprised if someone notices that my hair has been lightened.

Tips: If you have curly or wavy hair straighten it first before applying, that brush will cause you trouble… or just risk it and don't use it at all.

Loreal Paris Ombre

The instructions were clear and ease to understand.

The gloves were thick and sturdy which I liked as I have never used bleach before and was happy to know that the gloves wouldn't break and get bleach on my hands.

The process of putting together the ingredients was easy but the instructions stated that you shouldn't shake the application bottle too long as it may burst which had me worried as the instructions didn't actually state for how long to shake/rotate the bottle. I rotated and shook the bottle vigorously for only 30 seconds then unscrewed the lid straight away as per instructions.

Application of this product to my hair was very easy and non messy. The application brush was super easy to use and it didn't spill. My Hair didn't lighten as much as I thought it would have after the stated 25 minutes so I applied more and wrapped it in tin foil as I had been told that wrapping it in tin foil would add heat to the bleach which in turn helps to activate the bleach faster. The smell wasn't too over powering but I did get a few potent whiffs that made my eyes tear up so I made sure I had the windows open. I waited a further 15 minutes as the instructions stated to not leave the product in for more than 45 minutes and then washed it out.

the small bottle of shampoo/conditioner that came with it smelt delicious. I only needed a small amount therefore the bottle may last for up to three applications of washing. My hair actually felt very coarse and knotty afterwards so I ended up using some of my own conditioner as well. The bleach was easy to was out though and the next day my hair was very soft and shiny.

AFTERTHOUGHTS:My hair didn't lighten as much as I was hoping but I am defiantly NOT disappointed though, I love the new shades throughout my hair and am actually happy that it didn't turn blonde which I think had a lot to do with the fact that I have dyed my hair red for many years now so my Ombre colour has actually turned into a pinky/orange with tiny blonde streaks. I have received loads of positive comments on my hair and will and have recommended this product.

Tips: This product could be an easy way to put highlights/streaks throughout your hair. I will be purchasing it again at some stage to trial that out :) oh and remember to take off all your jewelery as my earings are wrecked from the bleach :-(

Awesome

This is a wonderful hair dye. I tried it out on my "My Fantasy Hair" extensions, and the result came out beautifully! I have used extensions for so many years now, but usually companies do not have my perfect hair color. My Fantasy Hair has something close enough, and I am usually able to dye them to match my hair later. When I used this dye to ombre my extensions, I was floored. It came out perfect! The conditioner it comes with made the hair so healthy looking and shiny. The conditioner was every bit as good as the dye itself. I have had trouble with box dyes in the past, but never did try this one untl recently. I can't believe I didn't try it sooner. There is just an obvious quality difference in the way the ombre effect appears. The fade to color is clean, and evenly spread. Will be recommending to all of my friends!

Tips: Do exactly what the directions say, and nothing less.

L'Oréal Paris Préférence Wild Ombré Shade 2 Brown

Once the Courier dropped off my package I opened it up.

I love the look of the box.

I looked inside the products look appealing.

You get:

A medium sized developer lotion

A sachet of Bleach Powder.

A Tube of lightening Creme

A pair of black fitting gloves (great for slender fingers like mine)

A black hair colouring brush

And lastly a bottle of Conditioner.

Brush hair thoroughly Before sections

I now sectioned my hair into a top section above my ears and tied that up, split the bottom section in half so that I had one section either side of my face.

You mix the powder, lotion and creme int he bottle then put on your gloves and squeeze the creme bleach onto your colouring brush.

Saturate the brush and then I applied from the ends of my hair on one side of my sections then applied to the other. I redid a few times, making sure I'd saturated the ends and lengths.

So I let down the top section and continued to 'brush' by now my hair is becoming super knotty and it's hurting brushing this through my hair :(

I kept going until everything was saturated.

The scent isn't pleasant , it's a typical bleach smell.

But hey we're doing this cause we want that cool ombre' effect right?

Hmmm well..

I left it on for 45 mins because I know my hair is stubborn when it comes to lightening...

My hair is looking pretty ratty by now.

I rinse well and shampoo twice , making sure all the bleach is out. I deep condition with the Conditioner.

Smells good, hair is soft!

Rinse well, dry off, pat hair dry.

Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesh hair is not looking so crash hot :/

It has lightened two/three shades and the effect is cool. Not super duper jumping up and down cool. But cool.

It is easy to apply, the ombre effect is easy to achieve but gosh darn it's damaging.

I've used bleaches before and it has not hurt my hair like this before.

All in all I would recommend this to someone who does not have damaged or split hair.

Tips: YES!! I'd recommend doing a few coconut oil masks prior to the ombre' and atleast every second day a few days after.

Just to smooth out the frizz.

Not for me

I wasn't impressed by this at all. I do have long dark brown hair so i was skeptical to begin with as i'm sure most people with brown hair know trying to dye your hair blond often ends in ginger. Ginger is what happened with this, i left it on for the longest recommended time of 45minutes and yet still i got ginger, and not even very noticeable. I do think this make work better on people with thin hair as the application brush didn't really get through all my hair, I also think having some do this for you would be helpful as its hard to see at the back if you got it at the same height. It really didn't come out ombre at all it just goes from the original color to the new color with no fade/shade inbetween

Simple & it works, but can only lighten so much

I was really excited to be selected for this trial as i was considering using this for a while. I have dark brown hair down just past my shoulders, although i had blonde hair up until 4 months ago. The best thing about this is the simplicity-it comes with a handy brush to comb through, so you don't get a solid line but that gradual ombre effect-that's what is best about it.

The instructions are actually really useful, the bleach smells strong like any bleach does, so be sure to open the windows to ventilate! It didn't take very long to do and is simple for anyone. I left it on for about 40 minutes and then washed out and conditioned with the included conditioner.

I have to say, my hair didn't feel as damaged as it has previously with bleaches, so that is definitely good, although obviously bleach does dry out the hair but this didn't seem to be too bad.

Colour wise, it lightened several shades lighter, so definitly does what it is supposed to. I didnt expect light light blonde-more of a goldeny colour like on the front of the packet and thats pretty much how it turned out. You cant expect it to be really light, i think if you do you will be dissapointened. But it definitly lightened to a golden brown and im starting to really like it. Would not recommend on black hair, but medium brown should work very well.

overall, very easy to use, a well thought out product that does its job-in the booklet inside some of the pictures may mislead some people to assuming they will get light blonde ends-which would only be the case if you already have light light hair. I would recommend if if you want golden ombre ends in an easy at home kit :)

Tips: open windows while applying to get rid of the strong smell :)

More Domestic than Wild

I thought I'd give this product a go in a bid to experience wild change... Wild Ombre seemed to be the obvious choice. While there was a change to my hair, it is only subtle. Not what I was after but still nice nonetheless. As you can't pile the hair on top of your head like with a normal at home dye you do find yourself more light headed than usual. The instructions weren't overly helpful either especially since I was dealing with basically bleach.... My hair is a little fried but I'll put a treatment through and it'll be fine

Tips: Watch a YouTube how to first. It makes life SO much easier

Disappointment!

This product didn't have any effect on my hair at all. I was so excited and made sure to follow all of the instructions closely, and noticed absolutely no difference in my hair afterwards. I've often coloured my hair at home and feel confident that I used the kit properly. I also left the lightening cream on for the longest recommended time. The only positive I have is that the included brush made application really easy and the instructions were great, but that really isn't relevant considering the lack of results. Overall I would not recommend this product at all.

L'Oreal Paris Wild Ombre Shade 2 Brown to Blonde

First of all I was so glad I was chosen for this review - totally excited.

The packaging is great, bright and informative. The pack consisted of an Expert Brush, Activating Powder, Developer creme + Applicator, Lightening Creme, Conditioning Shampoo and Gloves. The instructions were real easy to follow, clear and precise. The Expert Brush is brilliant I have saved it for the next time I want to Ombre, it would be great to add highlights in your hair as well. The only thing that I would do different is to actually watch the "How To" video's which I didn't do this time round. I had trouble getting the right angle of the brush to get that effect. A bit more practise to become an expert I think. Once I finished applying the product I waited the whole 45mins to develop. The colour did not come out as blonde as the picture on the box due to the fact that I have dark hair. Some of the tips of my hair were coloured and some of the tips weren't but I think that boils down to how I applied the colour to my hair. The colour has turned my hair into a browny colour instead of the blonde. It still looks great as your can see where I have attempted to define the 2 colours from the black top of my head to the brown colour. I may need to go even lighter? So far I have had positive feedback from people around me. I definitely would recommend this product to a friend and also use the product again. I would also like to have an Ombre look done by an expert (Salon) just to see the effect. Home jobs are still great to do especially when you can't afford to go to a Salon.

Tips: When using this product make sure there is plenty of ventilation because I found it pretty strong while I was applying it to my hair. Also I found the gloves a bit small and teared it to pieces when trying to put them on. Sometimes "one size fits all" does not fit - I used my own gloves in the end.
