L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Fibralogy Shampoo Review

I liked this shampoo as far as supermarket shampoos go. It keep my hair looking good and it felt thicker when I washed it but not sure how much thicker it looked.

Well, if you want volume, then this baby delivers. I wasn't feeling hopeful when I smelt this product - it reminds me of the Apple Shampoo smell of years gone by. Not unpleasant, but not divine either, a slightly stronger normal shampoo smell. I have fine hair, but quite a lot of it and it tends to frizz, so I wasn't sure what was going to happen with the Fibralogy shampoo. It lathers up well and kinda feels foamy thick. To be honest at first I couldn't really tell if it actually felt thicker or I was projecting the claims of the product, on to how I was perceiving the shampoo. My hair felt thicker, usually it's very limp after the shampoo, but pleased to say it really felt like my hair had been pumped up . After using the conditioner (see other review), my wet hair felt thinker and seemed to be not as sodden. I really had no idea what my hair was going to look or feel like once it dried, still skeptical, I didn't really feel any hope of a noticeable difference. BUT I was wrong! I don't do anything but let my hair dry naturally, and I was very pleased with the result. This shampoo (along with the conditioner) left my hair with a lovely smooth feel, but it was a thick boofy volume. I couldn't stop feeling it. I have hair down past my shoulders and for a whole week, the texture OMG with no flyaways so or frizz. For the first week I washed my hair every second day to see if it would get any thicker. Yes it did, but not wildly. The best way to explain it is, that it felt like each strand had been pumped up or I suddenly had extra hair strands. The shampoo goes nicely with the conditioner, but I think you could just have the shampoo and the volume texture would remain. So, I tested the volume and feel over a week with only one hair wash and it was Fab! My hair looked very healthy, the volume remained no matter being in the rain or it he dry heat of inside and it still felt smooth and boofy at the end of the week.

Im not 100% convinced that these products actually add more volume. Maybe my hair just sucks. I feel that with continued use these two products could make my hair feel thicker The colour of the bottle was my favourite thing about fibralogy

This shampoo says that it will thicken the hair from the inside, but I didn't notice any difference from my normal hair. I've been using this shampoo for the last two weeks. I have very flat hair, and this shampoo didn't give it any lift or volume at all. However, it did leave my hair feeling nice and clean, and smelling fresh! So that was a bonus! I would still use this shampoo, but with another styling product (such as a serum or mousse).

The love the colour of this bottle. Easy to hold, sits on the shelf nicely (either way up), cap is firm but not hard to open.

Unusually, there weren't any instructions on the bottle or manufactures recommendations on how best to use.

I used about an old 20c size of the shampoo and washed by hair twice. Some days I found I had to apply a little bit more to obtain the foaming which I use to gauge that my hair is clean.

The shampoo, was quiet thick in texture, off white with a pleasant non over powering smell.

I have very thin, coloured, that grows very slow and I wear up in a pony tail every day, so I didnt see any noticeable results in the first month of use from the shampoo.

I really enjoyed using this product and its partnering conditioner, and am going to continue to use this product to see if continued use over 2/3 months will see thicker hair results, and give my hair volume.

My hair is thin, straight and long so in bad need of some volume so I was looking forward to trialling this product.

The packaging is very pretty and looks expensive and professional.

This shampoo is quite thick in consistency so you don't accidently squeeze too much out and a little goes a long way; I've used this 6 times and still have half the bottle left so well worth the price.

I'm sensitive to fragrance but this didn't bother me, it smells sweet but pleasant.

After my first wash I noticed no change to my hair and was disappointed but then I read the bottle and it said the thickening is more noticeable wash after wash and lo and behold after wash number two and beyond I was pleasantly suprised; I definitely had more texture and volume, whether wet or dry, blow dryed or not, brushed or unbrushed, conditoner or no conditioner, although I would recommend using the conditioner as well as the shampoo alone makes the hair difficult to brush.

I would recommend this shampoo if you have hair like me as I'm up to wash number 6 now and my hair is looking and feeling thicker and fuller which is exactly what I wanted and exactly what the product said it would do so YAY for products that actually work!

I was very excited when the parcel containing the L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Fibralogy Shampoo and Conditioner arrived in my letterbox. So excited in fact that I almost jumped straight in the shower to give this miracle a go. When I did finally use the shampoo the next morning I was very pleased with it's thick rich consistency and the lovely thick lather it created. However I was disappointed with the lack of fragrance which is something that I personally enjoy when washing my hair. The conditioner was also lovely and rich and creamy, but again missing the ping of fragrance. I was disappointed that after towel drying my hair it had a matted feel to it although it did dry up ok. I decided to keep trying the combination and after a week I stopped as I didn't like the way my hair was feeling. It had a straw feel to it - like it was being striped of nourishment rather than being feed. I also can't say that after a week my hair felt thicker - just drier. For this reason I stopped using the product. I understand that there is also a serum that goes this the Shampoo and Conditioner to use afterwards. Maybe this is need to get the full effect, however that was not part of the trial. Although I have used and liked L'Oréal products in the past, I will not be using or purchasing this particular product again as it is just not right for my hair type and I feel doesn't really do what it promises.

This shampoo is amazing! Smells really nice, cleans my hair really well and I'm quite certain my hair has gotten thicker since I've started using this :)

Shampoo smells great and works amazingly on my hair. However, I would recommend it to someone with thinner hair as when I used it on mine, it made hair rather bushy (ALOT of volume)

I was pretty skeptical about using this shampoo, it does have rather big claims. Saying that it can thicken hair from the inside out is quite an amazing concept. My hair is relatively thin and very dry. After using this shampoo combined with the conditioner I'll admit my hair felt so much healthier. It is hard to test whether it actually got thicker or not but it was so soft, so shiney, and had no hint of haystack hair left! The shampoo cleanses very well without leaving my hair feeling dry (you know that horrible, still wet but brittle feeling?) so I was pretty thrilled! I will continue to use this product as it has definitely improved the condition of my hair!
