TRESemme Colour Revitalise Colour Fade Protection Shampoo Review

It was ok but I didn't feel that my hair colour lasted any longer than normal. Still a good shampoo though.

I have always been a big fan of TRESemme so when I dyed my hair black of course I had to protect it from fading too fast...enter TRESemme Colour Revitalise Colour Fade Protection Shampoo. I think that the $12 I paid for such a huge bottle is great value or so I thought after reading the promises on the label.

I used it for a total of 8 washes which is two weeks and within that time the colour fade was worse than it even was before using the shampoo. Where was my protection from colour fade?! It was missing. I do love how it leaves my hair so soft and manageable after use but that I can get from any other cheaper shampoo. I wanted the protection but it failed miserably. The texture is so creamy so I didn't have to use alot which made it last a long time but how is that a bonus when it doesn't work.

I don't like how you get the product out either it's too hard to squeeze the right amount out without it slipping out of my soapy grasp. I would prefer a pump bottle. It would save dropping, and wastage. I definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone if they asked my opinion. It makes your hair smell and feel great but not protect it. All in all it's a big let down for me.

I have to start by saying my hairdresser is always commenting on how healthy my hair is and I use nothing but this and the matching conditioner so I am guessing it is definitely keeping my hair 'healthy looking'. This can be bought in two different sizes at my local supermarket and is regularly on special making it ultra affordable for my whole family. Professional quality? I have used several professional salon brands and no I don't think this is as good. My colour doesn't fade any slower than using any other standard supermarket brand. I like how you can buy it in a pump or flip top. The flip top allows you to drain the whole container by placing it upside down when nearing the end of use. And a little goes quite a long way, even with long hair. It does massage through nicely and is pleasant smelling and creamy. And it rinses well. I will continue to use as it is a nice shampoo and is cost effective.

I've been dying my hair for around 7 years now, I started using this shampoo around 12 months ago and I'll never use anything else. it leaves my hair shiny and healthy looking. Never have an issue with dryness or split ends. I also have curly hair but this shampoo works wonders. Doesn't make my hair frizzy or add too much volume. Its absolutely perfect.

Tresseme is proposed as being a salon quality product at home. This shampoo can be found at most stores, making it easily accessible. I've been using Tresseme for years and it's one of my all time favourites. When I colour my hair I normally reach for this or used to be Garnier. I think it's a more affordable price bracket to buy.

This bottle comes in a 750 ml bottle. Its quite a large bottle and can last weeks for me. The packaging is made from plastic, it has the Tresseme branding on the front with the instructions of use written on the back. The texture of this shampoo is creamy . It has a lovely sweet but overbearing scent to it.

This products so easy to get out of the bottle. I had no skin reactions to this. When I apply it I only need a 50 cent piece to put in my hair and it lathers up nicely. I always follow this up with a conditioner.

Afterwards my hair feels soft, smooth and manageable. My hair does still fade with this, but the moisture is there. I think for the size and price its worth it. Overall I thought it was a good product. If you didn't want to commit to a large size, the Warehouse has 200 ml sized bottles.

I purchase this as my hair has been awful lately as I haven't had it cut or coloured in the last 7 months! I normally try to make sure I get it done at least twice a year to thought since I've just had it sorted I would hope this would help it last longer looking amazing. It's good value for money given its a large bottle and you only need a little bit. It smells amazing love it. I also prefer shampoo and conditioner bottles not to be the same colours as it makes it easier to tell the difference. It did leave my hair feeling silky and not to sure how much difference it's making to the colour but will update this if it hasn't made any difference to the colour.

I bought this to use in my dry, damaged coloured hair previously. I bought both the shampoo and conditioner and I like its squeeze bottle. Makes it easy to dispense product. It's also good that the bottles are different colours so you can easily be sure which you are using.

It smells really good and I found that it really did leave my hair feeling nourished and revitalised. It felt super smooth and silky. Great moisturisation. However I felt that it didn't exactly preserve my hair colour. Since it did leave my hair in good condition, I will repurchase in the future.

Having coloured hair I always opt for colour protection shampoo that is free from the nasty chemicals that strip your hair faster. However, I was very disappointed that the shampoo did contain some parabens that are not colour friendly, a curse of online shopping where they do not list all the ingredients. That all being said it wasn't that bad on my hair, yes it did still leave it feeling very dry whilst wet and before conditioning but that is just what happens when you have thick, coarse hair, it feels dry if you don't condition and is why I opt to only fully wash with shampoo once a week.

The shampoo is in such a large volume and not too liquid that a little goes a long way and the bottle will last you a very long time when buying these sizes I only need to repurchase twice a year which is amazing for the bank account.
