My hair type: I have oily roots and dry ends so I am definitely the right demographic for this hair care range. I used to wash my hair every day, but in recent years I have trained my hair so it only needs to be cleaned 2-3 times a week.
I got stuck into these products as soon as they arrived. It had been a few days since I had washed my hair, so it was the perfect time to trial this range. I love the light teal colour and the overall look of this packaging. The smell is probably my favourite thing about this range. It's very refreshing which nicely counteracts the oily smell that hair can have when it hasn't been washed.
After using the mask, shampoo, and conditioner I blow dried my hair. My hair felt lighter and softer than it usually does. I definitely felt refreshed and my hair was more voluminous.
I didn't apply any other hair products while trialing this range so my review would be accurate. Usually I use an oil at the ends of my hair to keep them hydrated. Even without an oil, my hair still felt hydrated and it looked shiny. In the future I'll still continue to use an oil, but it's nice to know I don't necessarily need one with this range.
I managed to go without washing my hair for a total of five days, which is incredible! Usually the day after washing my hair is when the oiliness starts to return, but not with this range. I first decided to use the dry shampoo on Day 3. It wasn't that my hair looked oily, I was just super keen to try the dry shampoo. On Day 4 I used the dry shampoo again and my hair still looked like it had been freshly washed. By Day 5 my hair was feeling heavy with product, so I finally decided to wash it again.
Overall this range really does work at keeping the roots light and leaving the ends hydrated. I would definitely buy the mask, shampoo, and conditioner again. The dry shampoo wasn't the best I've tried so I probably won't repurchase it. Definitely try this range if you're struggling with oily roots and dry ends! I doubt you'll regret it!
Well, I am actually quite impressed! When I first read about the range I thought, "How can it work on both dry ends and oily roots?" It doesn't make sense from the other ranges that we have seen.
There weren't too many downsides for me, so I'll quickly note them. The scent was a bit strong for me, the mask could do with some more instructions and the dry shampoo wasn't for me at all.
The plusses were many though. Using less shampoo to get a better effect seems like a win of course, and using less conditioner because you are focusing more on the ends is good. I like the mask, it extends the oil free time for a bit longer, although it's a bit of a pain to do so I'm not sure if I will continue with that part very often.
My hair has felt light, soft and smooth - I don't often get this as usually, a shampoo tries to combat one issue at a time. It really does extend out the time between hair washes, that's something that is a little hard to get used to. It's ingrained in me that I need to wash my hair frequently to get rid of the oil. 2 of my friends have complimented me on my hair looking healthy, if other people are noticing that it's taming the oil but hydrating the ends - it's a total win for me!
Tips: Simply - if you have oily roots, give this a go!
