essano Body Lotion

I purchased this as part of the Essano Rosehip Kit after hearing so many ladies rave about the range on here and reading about the benefits of rosehip oil.

I'm a sucker for pretty packaging and the brown plastic colour scheme with rose coloured label displays beautifully. The lotion is easily dispensed with a pump while the plastic cap is secure enough that you can pop it in your bag for on the go hydration.

I love the scent of this body lotion, a soft rose fragrance I want to roll up in. I would happily walk around smelling like this, it's so beautiful and feminine.

I don't normally moisturise my body every day but with the cooler months I've found that my skin is needing that extra bit of help, especially my legs! The consistency was very standard for a body lotion and I applied it after showering and found it absorbed into the skin really easily without leaving a greasy film.

I had high expectations for this after trying the Essano Rosehip Night Cream which I really liked, especially as this made the large claims of being an intensively hydrating power lotion. Unfortunately I found that this really didn't deliver for me, while my skin did feel slightly moisturised it really wasn't as hydrating.

I'm sure this would be great for others but I won't be repurchasing as I prefer something in winter that really does deliver more hydration to my body.

After reading the awesome reviews about this brand I brought an Essano trial kit from Countdown, which included this body moisturiser.

Other products in the trial kit included Rosehip oil, cleanser, night creme and moisturiser.The little bottles are so cute, and the trial sizes a perfect size.

I tend to get dry and sensitive skin (eczema prone) that tends to react to different products, so this was a great way to try all of these products to see if they were suitable. I was so excited, based on what everyone was saying about these products.

First of all, I love the packaging- so stylish and looks like a high end brand, when its so affordable. The pump is great, and makes it so easy to use. I much prefer pumps, over tubs of body moisturisers - more convenient and hygienic!

My skin is very dry, and my legs can get so scaly if I don't moisturise enough. After a shower, I pump some of the moisturiser in my hand and slather it over my body. It is a perfect consistency and drys easily. I love how you don't feel sticky afterwards like some moisturisers.

The hint of rosé is lovely and very subtle.

My sensitive, dry skin just drinks this up. It has really helped to hydrate and moisturise my skin, my skin feels baby soft and looks healthy. I much prefer this to my Aveeno moisturise now!

Such a great product, yet so affordable. Ths brand is amazing and their products are quickly becoming my holy grail products!

Would definitely recommend for dry, sensitive skins. Five stars!

I was skeptical to try this product as I did not love the face wash, however I love to support New Zealand business so really wanted to give the essano brand a second chance.

As with the face wash I absolutely love love love the packaging. Beautiful brown bottles with rose coloured labels and pumps, I mean who doesn't love pumps on their cosmetic products (as long as you can close to take away).

The first thing upon trying this lotion was the smell, divine! Think pretty talc crossed with rose petals with an undertone of Musk/wood (I have never tried any other Rosehip products so this may be the Rosehip smell?!).

The consistency of this lotion is really lovely. Light and easy to manipulate over your skin, quick absorbing, not greasy and leaves your skin feeling hydrated and smooth. The hydration seems to last well into the day so you do not get that dry skin look and need to reapply (halfway through the day).

This body lotion is also paraben, sulfate, phthalates, colours & petrochemical (whatever that is) free so I would imagine it would also be great on sensitive skin.

This is now my body lotion of choice! Thanks essano for being Kiwi and amazing.

My colleague brought this for me for my birthday this year. It is absolutely divine!!! It leaves skin so smooth and the scent is beautiful. It was a very pleasant surprise! And the fact that it is organic... how awesome! Would totally recommend trying this if you haven't already.

I have used other Essano products before and really liked them, but this one just didn't quite tick all the boxes for me.

The scent is amazing and the formula has a great consistency. It was easily absorbed and not too greasy.

I wanted to like it a lot more than I did (especially because it smelt so good!), but it just didn't seem to moisturise quite as well as I needed it to. As a disclaimer, I have very dry problematic skin and I think I am just suited to a much heavier product. It did not irritate my sensitive skin though.

I think this would be a lot better suited as a general moisturiser to someone with skin a lot less demanding than mine.

Thanks to the lovely ladies on the BR forum, I HAD to try this range. I purchased this as a part of a kit from Countdown.

This is a really gorgeous moisturiser. It smells lovely (kind of earthy with a subtle rose scent). I have been using this on my chest and neck area (I use coconut oil on my arms and legs), and my skin looks bright and feels supple and super, super soft.

I really feel like I don't need to try any other moisturiser - as my skin absolutely adores this.

This is easy to blend into your skin and it doesn't leave an unpleasant residue after applying. The scent is subtle and I haven't had any irritation due to this.

I will absolutely repurchase this and I have been recommending it to all of my friends.

I have been using this for a little over a month and I'm not that enthused about it. The use of all the oils and being a NZ made product attracted me and I was so excited about using this product. I felt this product wasn't as moisturising on me as I had hoped. I found it quite drying. I've now started to mix this with a couple drops of Argan Oil to really get that moisturised feeling. The scent is heavenly! Since this is a NZ made product, I will continue buying this however, I'll continue to mix this with my essential oils.

I saw this in count down ages ago, but decided to get a cheaper (and now I see, far inferior!) body lotion, despite really, really wanting to try this! I'm so glad i finally bought it. I had a wee beauty product splurge the other day and this was one of the things I picked up after reading the BR reviews, and I'm not going to use anything else. It's a big 400 ml bottle so for the price, it's actually really generous. The formula is beautiful! it's super softening (my boyfriend touched my legs and made a comment about how silky and smooth my legs were), but not greasy at all, it just sinks in, and it smells absolutely GORGEOUS! I can't quite pick the smell. It's sweet, but has an almost smokey/spicey kind of quality? I LOVE it! I actually just put it on my hands before writing this and I can smell it right now (also, my hands feel beautifully silky). i honestly love this body lotion. I used to rave about the body shop's lotions, but this is much better. It's more nourishing, yet lighter and it sinks in better, it also smells a lot nicer. Less generic, if that makes sense. I'm a fan. Also, no mucking around with squeezy bottles! This is a nice big pump bottle so there's no mess, and it actually looks very cute in it's brown bottle with pink label. I am a convert! So, to wrap: No greasiness, no irritation (it's not pumped full with mineral oils and other gunk! yay!), no sickly or synthetic smelling scent, no stickiness afterwards, nothing nasty! Just smooth, soft, super hydrated, happy skin with a beautiful, soft fragrance.

This is probably the most girliest Body Lotion ever! Not did it keep my skin soft and moisturized it also made me feel very feminine and sexy.

Like it says in the name it gives you some intensive hydration! This is sucha good body lotion for super dry skin or if you have dry patches, it will smoothen them out to match the rest of your skin.

I wish I could use it every day but it just too intensive and my skin just gets too much of it that it doesn't soak it up!

When it comes to scares etc, I did not notice much difference, never have with rose-hip but i just adore the scent so much so I really don't mind.

I bought this product by chance at a supermarket and I am so glad I did! It is such great value for money with the amount of product you get. I've been using it for my hands and they were noticeably softer after a weeks use! And the lotion smells amazing, with the push pump its so easy to touch up the moisture on my hands while at my desk. Would definitely purchase this moisturiser again!
