Australis Colour Inject Mineral Lipstick

I have 3 shades and think they are a great lipstick especially if your on a budget. They are creamy and have good pigmentation. While lasting a moderate time on your lips I don't find them that long lasting. They don't survive drinking and eating on me. But they're easy to apply throughout the day or night so I don't mind touching up, they're so easy to apply and nourishing so it really doesn't phase me.

The packaging is nice and solid, unlike other brands I n this price range I've never worried about the quality of the packaging. The hot pink band is a nice touch. One thing I don't like is the angled top, only because I like to store with the snickered name up and that means they're sitting on an angle... Silly but it slightly annoys me!

I have shades:

Honky Tonk which is a peachy pink shade, very nice in summer!

Boogie Woogie is a mauve kind of darker pink, it's very nice for a everyday lipstick.

Gangsta Rap is my favourite! It's a purple shade that's very wearble but still pops! It's a fun shade!

My signature lippy!

These are the lipsticks that started my lippy obsession, they were the first lipsticks I had ever bought myself, before then I was purely a gloss girl. I was initially attracted to the sleek black packaging with hot pink stripe and their dance-themed names, I'm a sucker for cute packaging.

I love how creamy the lipsticks are, they glide on easily straight from the tube without needing lip balm and leave my lips feeling really moisturised. They're reasonably long-lasting, you can easily wear them a few hours without reapplying although they do transfer a bit, I always end up with lovely lippy marks around my coffee cups or glasses and my boyfriend's pretty wary of them!

My favourite shade is "Salsa", a gorgeous bright pink that suits my warm-toned colouring perfectly. It's become my signature lippy shade I wear it so much, and whenever I need a pick-me-up this is the one I reach for to create the perfect bold lip! I also have this in "Flamenco", a deeper fuschia hue.

Overall, I think these are excellent quality for their price and will defiantely be adding more to my collection.

Tips: I normally wear these without lip-liner but when I do, Australis has a lip pencil range that matches the lipsicks too. I line Salsa with the colour "Hot to Trot", which is a really good match for it.

My first!

This was my first "real" lipstick I bought myself. And yes I made the rookie mistake and got a colour/shade that totally did not go with the makeup I used to wear.

I just wish the colour/shade range was bigger. They are all very similar, well at my Farmers here in Rotorua they are.

Other then that, this is one of the better lipsticks I have tried. It is very creamy and moisturizing. so even when you have dry tips it doesn't catch on to the dry patches. It actually kinda hides them and makes your lips look and feel smooth.

Beautiful formula

I don't usually opt for any finish other than Matte but I won the shade "Lick the Icing" and automatically fell in love. Lick the Icing is a stunning blue toned baby pink - very light and bright on the lips. I love how this looks against my light-medium complexion. The formula is extremely comfortable on the lips, it's moisturising and has some slip but it isn't so slippery that it feels oily like some cream finishes. It lasts a decent amount of time - around 4 hours with general eating and drinking and then it starts to wear off. I don't think you would need to wear a lip liner with this as the formulation isn't greasy and doesn't bleed but I prefer to wear liner with all my lipsticks as it helps prolong the wear time and leaves some colour on your lips when the lipstick fades. I highly recommend these lipsticks to anyone, they are amazing quality and have a great shade range, they're comfortable to wear and have good wear time.

Tips: Pair this with NYX Slim lip pencil in Dolly Pink for the perfect combo!

Super comfortable to wear.

These are great lipsticks - they are really affordable, have adorable names and are incredibly comfortable to wear all day.

I have these in the shade 'Jive' and 'Boogie Woogie'.

Jive is a kind of subtle blue toned pink. It is very natural looking on my lips (which is why I chose it).

Boogie Woogie is a deeper, slightly coral pink. It is on the more natural end of lipstick shades as well.

Both of these lipsticks have a beautiful satin finish. I don't have to wear a lip liner under them and haven't had issues with them bleeding or moving on my mouth. They're both pigmented but look really natural on the lips.

One thing I really like about these is that you don't have to wear a lip balm under them, as they're moisturising and won't dry your lips out at all. Because of this you do need to reapply every few hours. However, because they look so natural on the lips they don't look streaky or gross when they start to fade.

These do have a lot of transfer so you will need to be careful if you plan on kissing anyone... or any cute kittens that you might come across ;P

Overall I think these are brilliant for the price point, they look sleek in their packaging and the formula is awesome for everyday use. I love these for a natural lip. I'll definitely be purchasing more.

Super long wear and beautiful shades

I have a ton of these baby's and they are my favourite lipstick!

The colours are gorgeous(my favourite shade being flamenco a lovely hot pink, thats if they still stock it),and the colour stays on my lips all day(may need a touch up after eating and drinking). I love that they feel nice on the lips and are not at all drying and I dont have any issues with them settling into lines like I do with other low cost lipsticks.

Comparable formula to high end brands

I have used a couple of these up in my fave shade Mambo which is a pinky/nude/mauve pale shade which is great over a neutral lip liner for a wearable nude lip which doesn't drain the life from my already super pale complexion. No discernible flavour/scent compared to some brands which are heavily fragranced. These are cheap - under $15, have great colour payoff, a lovely satin texture which is neither too dry or too glossy so they have pretty good wear-time (by no means a long wearing lipstick though). The only reason I haven't repurchased is due to me switching to more natural/organic lip products. However if you are on the lookout for a good neutral nude beigey pink which doesn't pull too brown/rose or orange this is a good option!

Tips: Wear with a liner!
