I stumbled across these while browsing the makeup isle in a pharmacy. I couldn't resist and ended up buying Jay Zed (they have the cutest names). After going home and trying it out I could't stop swatching for days just to remind myself how crazy beautiful it was. A couple days later I went back and bought 3 more. They are creamy like a mix between maybelline color tattoos and eye cream. A firm creamy texture. They're so pigmented and the metallic shine is awesome. Also the price is so good!

The Australis Metallix range is my current eyeshadow obsession. The Metallix Eyeshadow in Gold Gaga has been on my lids everyday for months, and I currently don't have a single eyeshadow or palette on my wish list. If you are after something stunning, high quality, and have been thinking about placing a Colourpop order, READ ON.
After swatching the Australis Metallix Eyeshadow in Gold Gaga, it was love at first sight. I purchased both Gold Gaga and Guns and Rose Petals. Both shades are stunning - with an amazing, high quality formula. They are thick and creamy, yet blend easily. These shadows are so, so highly pigmented, I am in disbelief that it could be achieved for $9.95. The shadows are very versatile, a little goes a very long way and I apply them with my fingers. A tiny amount of product results in a slight shimmer, which can be build up to full on glam. I personally use an average amount of product, blended over a neutral eyeshadow to create a lovely, bright shimmer that I personally choose to wear for an everyday look.
Of the two shades, I reach for Gold Gaga far more often. It is a warmer, bronze shade, whereas Guns and Rose Petals is a cooler, more silver shade. This is purely personal preference.
These shadows last all day, with no eye primer. Please note, I don't have oily lids and I have no trouble with products lasting in this area.
These shadows are very similar to the Colourpop shadows, but are more pigmented. If you are thinking about placing a Colourpop order, I suggest swatching these first. I personally rarely reach for my Colourpop shadows, in favour of Gold Gaga.
The Australis Metallix Eyeshadows are my favourite eyeshadows, and quite possibly one of the highest quality products I own, even though the price tag is tiny. This is a must have for any makeup lovers collection.
Tips: Swatch these in store - they are stunning.
Love, love, LOVE this creamy metallic eyeshadow! It goes on really smoothly and stays there all day, doesn't move, doesn't crease. You can build coverage from a light shimmer to a bold metallic lid.
Tips: Definitely use a small brush to apply this, I use a concealer brush. It makes it easier to apply and then blend.
I got two of the Metallix eyeshadows from a beauty event. I got the shades Guns and Rose Petals and Gold Gaga. Guns and Rose Petals is a silver shade with pinky silver glitter while Gold Gaga is a rose gold colour. Both are extremely pigmented and I was really impressed.
These are cream eyeshadows with a foil-like finish to it. They are so shimmery and perfect for a night out. They last really well on especially if you use an eyelid primer.
A little bit will give you a nice shimmer but you can also build this up for a dramatic look. Between the two shades, I'd pibk Gold Gaga as it is just so beautiful.
Stila has some magnificent metal shadows which have been on my lust list for a long time. The price of these has prevented me from purchasing them so when I saw these dupes from Australis, I nabbed one asap.
I have the shade Gold Gaga which - as the name suggests, is a gold shade. It is quite a yellow gold as opposed to a white gold shade.
The formula of this is kind of spongy - it feels almost cushiony to the touch. These are incredibly pigmented and I like to use my finger to apply them to my eye.
Once applied these create the most beautiful foiled, wet metallic look. The only downside to these is that you definitely need a primer to keep them sticking around otherwise they tend to migrate a little bit.
Overall I love the one shade of this that I have and definitely want more. Using one of these is a great way to make an eye look pop without a massive price tag.
This is a tricky product to get used to because the formula is so different to anything else on the market (apart from the Stila ones) but once you get the hang of it they look amazing, I usually pack it onto the lid and chuck a transition colour in the crease and it gives a blown out foiled look to the eye and no other shadow I've used can give the same effect. They're super cheap as well, you can get them from Farmers for about $12, I just wish they expanded the colour range
I have this product in the shade 'Pearl Jammin'. The name suggests that it would be a light white/pink shade, but it is actually more like a light gold. I was going to purchase the shade 'Gold Gaga' because I was looking for a gold eyeshadow, but it was a bit darker and more of a copper colour. If you're looking for a lovely bright gold shade in this range, then I suggest you buy 'Pearl Jammin'.
I picked this up from Farmers for $12. It comes in a small pot with a clear lid that you unscrew to get to the product. You only need to use a very small amount of product at a time, so it is great value for money.
This eyeshadow is a bit different to anything else I have ever used before. It feels a bit damp and spongy. The product is extremely pigmented and it really does leave a wet metallic foil finish. These are definitely comparable to the Stila Magnificent Metals Foil Finish Eyeshadows.
I like to either use my fingers or a flat eyeshadow brush to apply this product to my eyelids. You can apply it on thick, which will leave you with a full-on metallic foil finish. I also like to apply a thin amount over darker eyeshadows. This will leave you with bits of gold sparkles on your eyelids, which can look really nice.
I always make sure to use a primer when using this product and I have never had any problems with it transferring or creasing. Overall I really love this how this product looks and I can't wait to pick up even more shades.
I love this eye shadow and there is a good range of colours to choose from. My favorite one is gold gaga. It has a nice creamy consistency and I was impressed at how buttery and pigmented this eye shadow was. I usually use my fingers to apply this eye shadow, it lasts all day and is good for nights out and you don't need to use a heap of it for it to be noticeable.
These eyeshadows are incredible!
I was gifted the shade ' ' from my brothers girlfriend. I hadn't ever seen them.or heard about them but I know I want more now!
The little pot is great! Twist off lid, clear see through lid with the brand name and logo ontop.
The product itself is really really butter. When I swatches it I couldn't get over how cream like it felt. The pigment was crazy the colour just beautiful.
This colour is perfect for a smokey eye look, a rock night out or for a touch of metallic.
Sure easy to blend and the longtivity is great. I noticed slight creasing but I wasn't wearing an eyeshadow primer so if I had I'd expect I wouldn't of seen any creasing what so ever.
I'm highly impressed with this product and would love a few more.
Tips: A little goes a long way, be careful how much is on your brush!
These eyeshadows are so beautiful! Extremely pigmented and very glittery and sparkly. So beautiful to use all over the lid, or just to add a pop of sparkle to the middle of the lid. They are a very weird consistancy so may take some playing around to master!
Tips: Use your finger to apply these eyeshadows as it can be quite difficult to pick the product up with a brush! Using your finger will give the most pigment and the most sparkle!
