I was using this a long time ago when I was having breakouts due to stress and had oily skin.
My skin is currently quite dry - so I wouldn't use it in its dry condition but I would if my skin was prone to oiliness.
This definitely helped me deal with breakouts - the liquid feels like it dries the spots, which is helpful for reducing redness and making them shrink and disappear.
I was using this as well as the toner and the cleanser and I found that this was the one product I liked the best out of that range.
This comes in a deceptively small squeezy tube. At first I was thinking I had gotten ripped off due to the size of this (I got this as part of a kit), but you really only need a small amount. The product itself is a gel kind of substance that applies and dries clear.
It does feel a little drying on your skin so I wouldn't go putting this all over your face - just stick to where the breakouts are.
For anyone that has oily skin and is prone to breakouts, I recommend using this as it definitely helped my pimples go away.
Whenever I have a deepset & stubborn pimple mum always says "go and put the gel on" meaning this product.
However, I am often reluctant because over the years this product has been repurchased in my household I haven't had consistent results in treating the acne I need to fix most. At first this product showed to be working but my skin must of grown a tolerance to it because it doesn't make much difference at all now.
The Advantage Spot Gel comes in a small tube, but a little really does go a long way. The small size means it's easy to take travelling but on the negative side the bottle often disperses more product than needed and means often my pimples have been over "gelled"
I would put this on before I went to bed, hoping that my lumps and bumps would be erased when I woke up, realistically this was doubtful anyway, but I didn't notice any improvements either. However, I did notice dry patches when using this product so I would ensure to use moisturiser prior to application and in the morning aswell. Also make sure to only apply the gel where it is needed! This will help avoid potential unessescary dry patches and irritation.
Speaking of irritation , I have sensitive skin and I would often feel a tingly or burning sensation when applying the gel onto broken skin/ popped pimples - I must admit it has brought tears to my eyes on occasion. So I wouldn't recommend this on freshly popped pimples.
I recommend that everyone tries this advantage gel out at least once, it seems to work well for other members of my family.. But unfortunately not for me!
Tips: Moisturise before application to prevent dry skin. Try to only squeeze out a tiny amount - a little goes a long way!
