Australis Banana Powder Review

As soon as Australis released their Banana Powder from their AC ON TOUR Contour kit, i picked it up straight away! I had already hit pan on that shade in the palette and its defintely my go - to powder for setting my under eye area. This powder is silky smooth, brightening and does not leave my under eye dry. I apply it either will a small powder brush or a damp beauty sponge under my eye after concealing/highlighting the under eye area. The quality for the price is amazing! The one fault is that the product can be quite powdery in the pan. Other than that I will definitely repurchase... again

I loved using this banana powder, the second it came out I had to have it. It's affordable and reliable brand, I loved the coverage it gave to my under eye area.

I find Australis products can be a little hit or miss in my experience, however their banana powder is definitely a hit! It is a fantastic setting powder for the T-section, undereye and chin areas, and really doe's set everything in place all day. I haven't personally used it as a contouring powder as I find it just works great to set my foundation in those areas. The price is great and the product is packaged in a sturdy plastic casing. There is also a good amount of product in the pan, my Australis banana powders last me ages. The powder blends really well with my light skin tone, and will honestly make any dark circles disappear. Definately recommend buying this if your looking for a affordable option for a banana powder.

I use this banana powder a few times a week when I feel the need to add some extra brightness to my skin, especially under my eyes. Unlike some banana/highlight powders that I have used I do not find this one to leave a dry looking residue and that it can be easily blended into the skin (I use a big bristle brush) after baking. It is packaged in a handy little compact and a little goes a long way with this so it really is worth the buy. This banana powder is something that I would definitely recommend to people or probably even by as a gift since it is great for all skin tones as well as it being a handy little gem to have in your makeup bag!

Farmers had a buy 2 get 1 free deal going on with Australis products, so I bought the banana powder as part of the deal. This was the first time I’ve used banana powder and I’ve always wanted to try it, so I was happy I found one on budget. I’ve now committed to transitioning all my beauty products to cruelty free, so Australis was the perfect brand to go for.

The banana powder is very light, and I have to be very careful when opening it, so it doesn’t end up going everywhere and opening it on a carpet area is probably not ideal. That’s the one thing I didn’t like about the loose powder, but that’s what I kept seeing in the makeup tutorials, so I went for it instead of the compact powder form. I just use it with a powder brush as my final stages of setting my makeup and I don’t only use it for contouring. Since I have a more yellow base skin tone, I like using the banana powder as an alternative to the white setting powder, because the yellow tone seems to give my skin an even and smooth finish. I loved how well it set under my eyes without giving creases as well as how well dark scaring or pigmentation were hidden. I also have oily skin and I have now started using serums, so the banana powder gave a matte finish, which is what I always prefer my skin to look.

I love the final look of my makeup and how well it sets into my skin. I will continue to use it.

I was lucky enough to be gifted this by a friend. It comes in decent packaging and I find that it's finely milled enough that it works very well as a setting powder. I don't use it on my whole face, but I find it works well on my T-zone and under eyes to set concealer.

I have quite tanned/olive-toned skin and I find the tone works very well for me. It doesn't leave me looking cakey which I find a lot of powders tend to do.

I haven't used it for contouring as I'm not a big fan of that so can't attest to how that would work.

Overall, I think this is a great powder and would highly recommend it.

I have fair-light yellow toned skin and really enjoy this power as an undereye setting powder.

It comes off almost scarily yellow in the pan and I was worried that it would be too dark for my skin however the colour doesn't translate as dark and the payoff isn't super intense which is good! I use a light hand and a fluffy blender/highlight style tulip brush for lightly dusting over the undereye and it works great to lighten the area and set my makeup without it looking cakey or creasing.

I would definitely recommend using only a small dusting of this to avoid cakey building and that horrible jaundiced look which I would imagine wouldnt be hard to achieve with a heavy hand

Overall I would recommend this to a friend and I will purchase again (If i ever run out!)

As soon as I saw this released I knew I needed it having swooning the ABH & KVD contour palettes I found the price point more reachable to my budget. The product is quite a big pan & after 2 months of daily use I hit pan on it so that's a good result of use. I like the coverage this gives it brightens my undereye area & has me feeling confident the only problem would be if your eyes aren't hydrated enough then this settles into your dry areas & ecentuates the lines. Theres nothing else about this product that causes me concern and if you're out to try a banana powder then I reccomend this one the price point is the first reason then it's perfromance is of a good standard.

This powder really does the job. It's super brightening so it's great for setting your under eyes. It locks in concealer and helps it to not budge all day which is awesome.

The only thing I have an issue with it is that it can look a bit cakey. It's fine if you use a light hand but overall I love this powder! Wish it came in a loose powder form as I imagine it would be great for baking as well

This year I decided to give under eye brightening a try. This is my first compact powder. My skin is ageing . I was abit worried that this might dry out my skin.I saw this being sold on a buy and sell page and quickly picked it up brand new at an affordable price .

The banana powder comes in a round compact . It's nothing special packaging wise . The powder itself is pale shade of yellow. The pigmentation of the powder is there . There's no scent which I like.

When using this I like to apply this powder under my eyes. Oh I was so scared it would crease in my lines. Thankfully it didn't do that. I also like to apply this under my contour cheek bone line to add definition to my face. After setting for 30-40 minutes I sweep away any excess fall out.

I'm still trying to learn how to use this powder. I still have a bit more practising to do. I am happy with the end result after using this. I got 7 hours wear with it. It's one of the most affordable banana powders out there. I would reccomend giving this one a try.
