When it comes to beauty products, we're a little torn about what we love more.  On one hand we love what science and technology have done for us - hair colour that repairs hair, mascara that looks like falsies, lipstick that lasts all day.  But then, on the other hand, we love the oldies but goodies.  From simple cold cream to rag curling, to the original toner - Rose Water.

Rose Water was a staple on dressing tables from medieval times until fairly recently.  It is, not surprisingly, a distillation of rose petals in water.  It's commonly used as a gentle yet effective toner, but has many benefits, such as:

  • It's an anti-inflammatory and can help soothe irritated skin.
  • It's rich in anti-oxidants and can strengthen skin cells and regenerate skin tissue.
  • It's suitable for sensitive skin.
  • People with dry skin find it very hydrating and can actually use it as a moisturiser.
  • It smells lovely.
  • It leaves skin glowing.

We're putting the not-yet-released Garnier Micellar Rose Water Clean & Glow to the test.  It removes make-up, cleanses and reveals the skins natural glow with just one cotton pad.

This newcomer to the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water range is enriched with Rose Water for added pleasure and glowy dewy complexion. All you need is one cotton pad to brighten up your skin. It leaves skin clean and healthy with a natural glow, even without make-up. A delicate and feminine floral fragrance makes for a radiance-revealing care routine that is truly a pleasure to use.

If you'd like to put your hands up for this trial get chatting to us below.  Have you used rose water before?  What were your experiences?  How about Micellar Water?  Do you usually cleanse with micellar, or are you yet to board the Micellar Train?  How do you feel about the innovative cleanser combining forces with one of the original beauty essentials?

I've only used Rose Water when making Turkish Delight! My 50 year skin would love to give Garnier micellar rose water clean and glow a go. I have never tried any micellar water products and would like to see how and if they work. It all seems to easy. The dirt and grime just seems to jump onto your cotton pad.

I absolutely love the garnier cellar water it’s great for removing make up without drying the skin, have mature dry skin and it’s my new way to remove make up, the added rose water would be definitely something I would want to try.

I've never use rose water before but I have used the Garnier micellar water, which I love! It was super easy to use, non oily and no harsh scent. How about Micellar Water? I am very intrigued to hear about the rose water version of this as I LOVE rose water products, this could be a goodie!

I've used rose water in toners before and I love micellar. So to combine the 2 sounds great. I would love to trial this please :-)

I currently use normal micellar water to cleanse my face every night as I have dry skin and normal cleansers are too harsh. I’ve never tried anything with rose water though and would love to test it out!

I’ve used rosewater before, it’s gentle and smells amazing. I’m so intrigued by the combo with micellar- need to try this

I've used miscellar once before but not rose water. Would love the chance to try a new cleanser!

I love rose water. Micellar, not so much. Up for trying this though to see if the inclusion of rose water makes it a better experience for me.

Would love to try for its anti inflammatory properties and I get a lot of sun damage out on the farm!

I have used micellar water before (an amazing makeup remover), but not rose water. This addition to micellar water sounds great so it has a nicer scent but I am most excited about reducing sun damage at the same time as cleansing.

I’ve used a few rosewater products including the Mario Badescu spray - I love the scent especially. My skin has been sensitive to other Micellar waters so have taken the plunge as I’m yet to find one that suits my skin type! This one fits all the criteria I’d look for in a product so would love to be included in this trial :)

I love micellar water, especially if I'm too lazy to properly remove my makeup. This new edition looks amazing, and it's great that it's for sensitive skin too! Would love to try

I've tried Micellar Water before and liked it, it was really good for removing all of my makeup at the end of the day. I haven't tried Rose Water but am really keen to trial it as I've seen some really positive reviews online.

I've never used rosewater before but I have used micellar. I found it took more than one pad to clean my face and was excellent at removing eye makeup. If its only one cotton pad required I'll happily hop on this train

23rd January, 2020

I have used rose water but only in baking. I always use micellar water to remove all traces of make-up at night and it's very gentle on my skin. This new addition to the Garnier range sounds nice especially if it is anti-inflammatory. I never knew rose water could reduce sun damage. Yes please I would like to be considered for this trial :-)
