Have You Used an Elizabeth Arden Foundation Before?

Applying foundation is a tricky task.  It really is a skill that you learn through trial and error.  Brush, wedge, sponge, your fingers - each tool has it's pros and cons, and each tool works differently depending on the format of foundation.

Today we're looking at a cream foundation, which generally, are great for providing medium to full coverage, being easily buildable.  And this foundation comes complete with its own applicator too!  Oh.  And one of the ingredients......diamonds.  Actual diamonds!

Recently Elizabeth Arden improved their best-selling and beloved Flawless Finish Sponge-On Cream Makeup. The new formula delivers more of what was great about the orginal foundation:

  • more radiance-boosting benefits
  • improved complexion-perfecting ingredients
  • increased moisturising
  • a natural luminous finish that lasts all day.

Infused with micronized diamond powder, this light-reflecting foundation manipulates and scatters light to diffuse the look of imperfections. Immediately, the look of fine lines, pores, blemishes, scars and dark spots are diminished. Skin appears smoother and more even in tone, as luminosity and radiance are boosted. This moisturising formula offers medium to full coverage that feels comfortable and lasts all day.

And if you think the formula sounds amazing, how about the double-deck compact that's great for travel and on-the-go touchups. Open the top cover to reveal the cream foundation and a mirror, and flip up the bottom level for a contoured application sponge.

So, we think the interest in reviewing this for us is going to be high, so without further ado it's time to put your hand up.

How easy do you find it to apply foundation? If your regular foundation comes with an applicator, do you use it?  Or do you have a favourite foundation tool, independant to the foundation itself?  And what about your experiences with Elizabeth Arden foundations?

In the past I have used other Elizabeth Arden but never the foundation As I get older I find it hard to find a good covering foundation that lasts and doesn't sit in the lines I unfortunately have on my face now so I would be really interested to find out if this product would be good for me, I also like the idea of the sponge on application I believe it would give better coverage

Oh. My. God!!!! Diamonds in a foundation?! I don't own any diamonds (sad I know) so this would be my very first if I was lucky enough to be chosen :) I am struggling to find a foundation that gives me good coverage, lasts, and doesn't make me look like a matte doll cutout. This sounds absolutely perfect, and let's face it, diamonds......!!!

I haven't tried this one but would love to get my hands on this! I travel a lot and this would really save me time on putting foundation and touch ups. I use foundation on a daily basis so I'm really keen to be part of the trial team.

I love applying foundation with a beauty sponge, it helps prevent it going on too cakey for me. I mostly use liquids and I know other texture foundations I have to use a brush first and then go over with a sponge. I actually prefer doing concealer with my fingers as the warmth helps it blend better and doesn't take away coverage like a sponge. I haven't tried an Elizabeth Arden foundation but if it's anything like their skincare I'm sure it is amazing. As I'm getting older I'm moving towards more natural looking foundations that are more moisturing so this sounds perfect!

Nope, I've never used EA anything and I don't wear foundation as I can't find one that works for me. So this would be a great trial!

Don’t usually wear foundation too often as I don’t think I need that high of a coverage and prefer bb cream, but have purchased a few different finishes from some affordable brands and have just been using fingers to apply. Even when using bb cream, have just been using fingertips to apply abdcthink it works well for me but would love to try something with a bit more coverage and with light reflecting elements!

I’m still learning application techniques with foundation so would love to broaden my foundation horizons!~ ^.^

I haven’t used an Elizabeth Arden foundation before, and I’m struggling to think of the last time I used a cream foundation! It might have been a revlon one when I very first started wearing makeup.. I would love to give it a go again, as I see a cream foundation working well for my current lifestyle right now. Though I do wonder if it would be a little heavy? I can remember the revlon one being a little cake face-y, but that also might have been my own fault. I was 16 after all!

If this can give a smoother even tone while moisturising then I put both of my hands up! Medium to full coverage for me is what I'm always on the look out for. I would love to trial this product. I love other Elizabeth Arden products but am yet to try a foundation.

My daily foundation is liquid and I apply it wih the sponge applicator from a cushion foundation. I rely on cushions for touching up during the day. It would be great tho to try a sponge on cream foundation to see if it works better for me, as the cushion has some disadvantages (don't like the liquid seeping out at the edges)

I have tried so many different foundations before I’m still yet to find my “holy grail”. Very curious to see if this lives up to hype I’ve been reading about it.. also never tried Elizabeth Arden makeup before so definitely keen to give that a try too!

I am curious to see if this foundation lives up to its hype. It can be the trickiest thing to have it looking so natural it looks as if you don't have any on. Would love to give my verdict on this.

I’ve never been able to find a great foundation that provides good coverage without looking caked on. I love Elizabeth Arden products and my mother used to swear by them but I’ve never tried their foundation. Very keen to give this one a go.

Love to try new foundations! I usually need something that states long wearing as most foundations look greasy and separate on me. Interesting to see what it is like

I've used Elizabeth Arden foundation for years. It's the only one I use, along with their skin care products. I haven't tried the sponge-on cream makeup though. Would love to try. Thanks :)
