Having used this for just under 3 weeks I think it is working well so far, some dark spots around my hairline seem less obvious which is great . What I have found more impressive is by using this over my whole face the redness I get on my cheeks is less, my skin tone overall seems smoother, brighter and less redness. For that I would use this product again and again! I think for the pigmentation it will take longer to see any meaningful results but so far impressed

Tips: Use it all over for brighter more even skintone
This kiehl's Dark Spot Solution is absolutely fantastic. It comes in a glass dropper bottle. The texture light and only a couple of drops is all that's needed. It is clear in colour and the fragrance is not too overpowering. It suits beautifully on my skin but yet absorbs without feeling oily. It claims to visibly diminish dark spots with continuous use, I am excited to see how well it does this. The ingredients are Activated Vit C, whits Birch, and Peony Extract. I've been applying it over my whole face but have also focused on areas that have discoloration. I would definitely repurchase this as my skin feels so nice after using it. For how little you use, the bottle will last a long time so would be value for money.
Tips: You only need a couple of drops.
I was excited to try Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution by Kiehl's because I am a skincare Vitamin C junkie and this is one of the key ingredients. Brightening is very important to me as my skin likes to throw pigment and I have only been able to manage this with laser treatments and by using products with active ingredients such as Vitamin C. I believe prevention is key and maintenance by using products high in Vitamin C will prevent further hyperpigmentation. According to the Kiehl's website, this product contains Activated C - this is a 'specialized derivative of Vitamin C that helps reduce the look of dark spots and hyperpigmentation'. Especially during summertime our skins need extra Vitamin C for brightening and also because it acts as an antioxidant. So how did this product perform? I like the look, feel and smell of it. The clear fluid has just the right amount of viscosity - it is a liquid, but thick enough that it sits nicely on the skin - it is not watery at all. It doesn't smell like much - which is a good thing in my book since I am not a fan of heavily scented skincare products. I used it after cleansing and before applying moisturizer and used it mainly at night. It felt hydrating and absorbed instantly. Did it make much of a difference? It hydrated my skin, so full marks for that. It didn't cause any irritation or adverse reaction. I have not noticed a huge difference as far as brightening is concerned, but then again, I have been using high end products aimed at brightening for quite some time and my pigmentation was under control before I started using this. Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution by Kiehl's comes in a see-through glass bottle with a dropper. I was surprised to notice this because most of the Vitamin C products I have used over the years are in dark glass because the products can be light sensitive. I would therefore keep this in a dark cupboard, just to be on the safe side. It is definitely on the pricey side but I believe it is a case of you get what you pay for. I will repurchase this and I would be happy to recommend this to my friends and family.
This solution is a light, slightly thicker and water and clear. Its smooth and the applicator is a dropper so easy to use the right amount, no wastage. It has a light citrus scent, that disappears straight after application. I used this all over my face in the morning and then just spot treated at night, in the mornings i would use half the dropper full and to spot treat quarter. It soaks into the skin very quickly so doesn't add to much time to the morning and evening routines. I've been using this for just under a month and have been consistently using this twice a day and have used about a 1 cm at the top of a 30ml bottle so for me this will last quite some time, which is great as this does have a higher price point. At about $100 for 30ml is a lot of money, but also not to bad when you consider other brands that do the same type of products its much the same. i really think its worth the money! There isn't anything special about the packing its a clear bottle with a white dropper and silver rim simple and all that's needed, it comes in a small box with all the ingredients and how to use listed. After using this i would say its started to do what it says it does. I have seen some definite fading and shrinking in my dark patches on my forehead, and i do think with continued used the other patches and sun spots will start and continue to fade too. My skin is more even now than its been in years! I would recommend this to anyone who has dark spots or uneven skin tone, i love the results I've seen and cant wait to continue! its worth every cent!
Tips: If your going to invest in a product to address your skin tone and dark spots i would advise you to also invest in a great face sun screen too so your going to get the best results and the skin you want!
I'm in my (late) forties, and have my share of freckles, age spots and what I've been told are stress spots. I've been using this product for a couple of weeks now and I think some of the spots are fading, so I will keep using it because it feels so nice, and my skin is definitely looking a lot better. It's a clear liquid in a clear bottle with a dropper. The consistency is slightly thicker than water, so a couple of drops is more than enough for your face.
Tips: Don't be tempted to use too much, a little bit guess a looong way!(you can rub it into your hands as well if you dispense too much!
I don’t have any sunspots but this product works well to fade acne pigment scars for me! I use this all over the face once a week for the brightening, and as a spot treatment when I have scarring as it Speeds up the process of fading for me. Product is easy to use with the droplet tube, but feels sticky on the skin so I always follow with a moisturiser.
The Kiehl's Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution comes in a beautiful glass pipette and bottle. The serum is very fluid - light and non-greasy, absorbing quickly.
I apply a few drops to the back of my hand and then use my fingers to spread it over just the areas of my face which feature dark spots from sun damage (my forehead and nose) and scarring from breakouts.
I’ve been religiously using it twice a day for the past three weeks and my expection that my dark spots would disappear completely was unrealistic –they have certainly faded a little though and my complexion is brighter. I’ve not been using a serum as part of my routine and think this product while I think it’s an important addition, at $100 for 30ml time will tell as to whether I repurchase this one.
Tips: It took me a while to learn that with serums being the lightest, you need to apply this first before any layering any other creams and moisturisers.
Everyone knows about the perils of the sun here in Aotearoa and despite how vigilant I've been with sunscreen in recent years, I still have dark spots popping up on my cheeks. I've tried one or two creams in the past to combat them but nothing's made a noticeable difference. Needless to say, I had high hopes for this one!
I immediately liked the packaging, the clear glass bottle with dropper lid, feels and looks top shelf. The glass dropper funnels into a narrow point and the sturdy rubber dropper gives you plenty of control.
The consistently of the solution is more substantial than it looks, it's not thin and watery, but will go where you want it to. It left my skin feeling immediately smooth and it has a nice matte finish to it (probably the glycerin). The fragrance is strong so keep try before you buy if you're sensitive.
I applied this morning and night, prior to my moisturiser, each day for the duration of the trial. I could see an improvement in the clarity of my skin overall, and while I didn't notice a significant difference to some of the larger dark spots, some of the more subtle ones seem to be gradually fading. I'm very interested to see what happens if I continue to use this for a longer period of time. I'd love to see some of the darker and more noticeable sun spots on my cheeks disappear... if that happens I'll be purchasing for life!
Tips: If you're using this during summer, you'll have to avoid any and all sun exposure or those dark spots won't budge!
I was really surprised by the results I have had from this serum. I had read a few reviews before purchasing, and some looked mixed. However, after two weeks of use I could tell this serum had faded some of my pigmentation (sun damage). I have a big patch of dark pigmentation that my gp told me I could try IPL for, but that is outside my budget at the moment as he recommended a few sessions. After two weeks, I could see that the edges of this particular patch have faded, leaving the more defined but smaller bits in the middle. The rest of my face looks alot brighter too. I used it most mornings and nights, and have loved the results so much that I have repurchased. I wouldnt say that my pigmentation will completely dissapear, I have alot due to being a sunloving kid in the 80s and 90s.
The serum has a lovely lavender scent, and is nice and light to apply. I enjoy using the product, and even though it is probably the most expensive skin care item I have bought, for me it is worth it.
I received this in a free gift with purchase from Farmers and was happy to try it as I have a few dark spots on back of hands and face. It is a clear slightly sticky solution in a clear glass container with a dropper on top. Easy to apply with the dropper and smells nice. I have noticed my dark spots have faded slightly on hands and face. Will try it on dark patches on my knees. Just dot it all over face with the dropper and massage into skin. Quite pricey for a small bottle but will last a long time. My skin on face looks a bit brighter which is a bonus. Would recommend for anyone who wants a brighter, less patchy complexion.
