I'm Confused

Got two huge bottles last year and I really just don't understand how I'm supposed to use it,or maybe I just never found the need to? I've never had sunburns/irritations since I got them so I never tested in that aspect. I did have really bad acne breakouts and I do spray this on my face in the morning or in the middle of the day but I just don't feel any different afterwards. The redness on my face still looks hella mad at me so I don't feel like they soothe acne-related irritations. I suppose it does feel a bit cooling for the first few minutes after I spray it on but nothing that a nice cold glass of water can't do. I also tried using it to dampen my make-up brush or sponge and it didn't end up well. The concealer on my face oxidized and it was so hard to blend after that. I'm really not sure if I'm using this properly. Maybe a smaller bottle would be good to bring with me to a long-haul flight but it's definitely not something I would 'need' to bring with me nor spend on. I'm probably not going to repurchase.

Refreshing toner mist

I absolutely love this product! I had previously only used it on sunburn (so soothing and cooling!) and while travelling - it is lovely to freshen up with. After attending a training and hearing it recommended as a toner following cleansing, I have incorporated it into my beauty regimen and am enjoying it's soothing, moisturising effects.

Water in a can?

I have had a lot of success with the avene products, and so decided to try this one. It's kinda nice and refreshing like spraying your face with water. Because that's what it is. Spraying your face with water. It left me with one key thought - why did I spend money on this? On the bright side it works extremely well if you want a deterrent for cats when they are scratching furniture.

Sensitive skin saviour

This product has helped bring my skin back from a point of dryness and sensitivity that I thought I would never be without. I used to get such dry eyelids and skin on my face during season change and this product (and the Avene Soothing Eye Contour Cream) has banished the flaking/peeling/excema of skin around my eyes (people used to think I wore eyeshadow every day - nope, just dry, dry eyes my friends). Literally a game changer. Very hydrating, cooling and refreshing - although my boyfriend does laugh at my "consumerism" of buying fancy water in a spray can...

Tips: Combine with Avene Soothing Eye Contour Cream for epically moisturized and hydrated eyes

Save your money, use your tap instead.

Avene is one of those brands that screams luxury. Their products are super hydrating, luxe, and cost a pretty penny. Their signature french branding is on point, simple and clean - looks stunning in the bathroom.

I got this in a goodie bag, and, well, it's probably going to be the only time that I will EVER own this. Sure, it's gorgeous and hydrating - my skin feels super refreshed and glowing after using it.. but I just can't get over the fact that it's just water in a can! You could practically bottle up water from your tap into an old spray toner bottle for the same effect. It seems a little ridiculous to be spending $30 on something that you can get from your tap for free.

Tips: Leave it in the fridge for the ultimate refreshing blast.

French Gem

Avene is a lovely French brand based on minimalistic ingredients that are aimed at sensitive or damaged skin. The Avene Thermal Spring Water is the focus of the brand, and is contained in many of their products. I don't have sensitive skin, however I thought the Avene Thermal Spring Water would be a lovely product to add into my skincare routine. I am currently removing my makeup, cleansing and then using the spring water before or after toning. I'm not sure that this is the best place for it in my routine, and I may change this later on.

The Thermal Spring Water sprays softly onto the skin, somewhere between a spray and a mist. It is refreshing, cooling and absorbs and dries quickly. It doesn't have a scent and one quick spray is enough to cover my face and neck. I don't find the product getting in my hair or on my clothes, although it is applied so lightly that I wouldn't notice if it did. As I'm not using the product to treat any skin conditions, I haven't noticed any differences in my skin, other than it feeling refreshed at the time. I am looking forward to using this product in summer, possibly during the day over my makeup. I will also use it if I ever have any dry or irritated patches of skin as it is known for it's healing properties.

Tips: This product is available in a small, travel size which would be a great way to try it out. I often go to shake this product before use as it is like a hairspray can, however it is not meant to be shaken.

Avene Thermal Spring Water Review

This product is fantastic! I have been using it for years, after being reccomeded it by my mum. We have quite similar skin types, sensitive and very fair. So the whole Avene set of products are fantastic, but this one is just a great go to at any time, whether it be in place of toner, as a mist when you are feeling hot or just to refresh makeup, make you feel a bit more peppy after a long day. My 5 year old daughter loves it too when she has a temperature or is just really hot from playing she asks for a spritz and she says it cools her down and makes her feel better. There was no irritation, it has not much of a scent to it so nothing there to cause you to get a shock when you spray it. Just nice, refreshing mist that makes your skin feel super hydrated after each spray.

Tips: Use it anytime, carry it in your handbag.

Great on dry skin

This is icredibly refreshing! Great in the summer to throw in your bag to refresh your makeup or give you a midday perk up! The thermal spring ater is restorative as well so i do feel my skin is more hydrated and less prone to dry patches. It helps make my skin less tired looking!

Water in a can!?! Ingenious

This is an incredibly basic concept and that is the beauty of it. Think about long hot Summer days, you're so hot you feel like your skin is melting. If only there was a way to refresh and cool yourself without ruining your makeup - Enter Avene thermal water Spray.

The can emits a light refreshing mist of water, which gently cools your face without drowning it. This makes it great for putting in your hand bag on hot days, or if you'e like me and often break out in rashes it makes for a soothing spritz.

I know that this is essentially just water but a small can is fairly inexpensive and lasts a while if used sparingly. Some may think its a bit unnecessary or excessive but I bet they wouldn't complain when you pull it out of your bag on a sweltering hot day.

I love this and will definitely the buying more of this in the future!
