Nivea have a deservedly solid reputation for both skincare and suncare. They combine here in this lovely little bottle.
The small-ish size of this product (50ml) is actually a good thing, because it enables you to re-purchase a fresher product more often, which is great for sunblock in particular. The bottle is a perfect size for including in a handbag/overnight bag, and at 50ml is fine to take in your hand luggage on a summer break!
I like that it's packaged as a sun product, but formulated as a face product - best of both worlds.
The screw cap, small dispensing hole and thin consistency mean that you can cleanly and hygienically dispense an appropriate amount of the product each time. It does spread well and therefore a little goes a long way.
It has a faint sunscreen odour, but not unpleasantly so, and that dissipates very quickly once it absorbs into your skin. Reapplication is easy during the day if you're so inclined, but I often don't worry about it as by the time you either put on makeup or a hat if you're headed outside it's more than adequate sun protection with just the one layer. The product itself bears a caution to reapply post-swimming, though, which is best heeded.
Very effective sunblock that never causes me breakouts or issues, feels light and pleasant, is appropriate to use daily and offers security in summer against a sunburned face for a reasonable price.
I use this product once in the morning as an overall face moisturiser. The fact it has a sunscreen component was the reason I brought it.
It is incredibly light, doesn't seem to clog my pores, and is non-greasy.
As far as sun protection goes, it's not bad. I get wicked sunglasses tan-lines if I don't use sunscreen on my face, and I find when I use this product the tan-lines are only slightly visible.
I don't wear a lot of makeup but I find this to be a good product under foundation. Seems to let the foundation settle better!
I'd recommend this to anyone wanting a light, daily moisturiser. I also have sensitive skin and haven't noticed any irritation since I started using it.
