Natural Paw Paw ointment

I received the Sukin Paw Paw ointment without any packaging (assuming this is how it is purchased from a store). The little tube is a nice colour and it has the Sukin brand name with the wee leaf at the top and easy to see. Most of the writing on the tube is almost impossible to read though, ok my eyes are getting a bit "tired" but I'm sure most people would have issues reading it.

The tube is a good size and it can be thrown in your handbag so nice and handy to take with you. I do have quite dry lips and a patch of dry skin on the top of one of my feet so thought I would use it on those areas. The ointment is very thick and takes a bit of squeezing to get it out of the tube but you only need a little bit. It smells nice and natural, sort of wheaty is how I would describe it and I liked it - no stinky perfumes etc so you know it's nice and natural.

I used the ointment on my lips and foot for over a week and think it has made a little difference but nothing to really write home about. I will keep using it however as I do like it and knowing it's not fully of harsh chemicals etc makes a difference.

I would be happy to use this on my 4 year old daughter also and will try on her at some stage when she needs it for any chaffing etc.

Overall I do like the product, not quite sure if it was totally effective on my dryness however being natural is a huge plus for me so I would probably buy it again and have it in my handbag.

Tips: No tips with this product, really just use when needed :)

Sukin Paw Paw Ointment

Packaging/Appearance - Appealing, soothing Odour/fragrance - not much Post Use Feedback- Had to squeeze real had to get the ointment out. Lips I have chapped lips and use chapstick regularly a few times a day.

Applied Sukin Paw paw ointment to my lips and hands every night and morning.

Day 1 - not much difference Day 2 - no more chapped lips. Day 3 onwards - lips felt real good, smooth & no chapping Infact after a week of applying paw paw, just using once a day was good enough for the lips. There were no more cracks/chapping. Was quite impressed that I had to apply paw paw just once or max twice a day. Whereas chapstick has to be used constantly during the day.

Hands My hands have started getting rough, dry and shriveled with age. Day 1 - applied at night before sleeping, next morning hands felt slightly smoother Day 2 - started applying morning and at night before sleeping. Hands felt smoother with a bit more life in them. Not as shriveled as before. Day 3 - hands felt the same. Day 4 - same Day 5 onwards - hands felt smooth, soft and not as shriveled. Felt I had shed a few years on my hands.

Paw paw is more effective on the lips than on the hands. I need to use twice or more times a day on the hands to get an effective result.

Last week I burnt my hand real bad. I had a dressing on for a week. Once the dressing came off I applied Sukin 2 to 3 times a day for 10 days. The burn is totally healed and there is a very light scar. I plan to use Bio Oil now to get rid of the remaining scar. Pretty impressed with Sukin on the burn.

Tips: Apply on the lips under lipstick and the lipstick lasts longer and lips feel smooth all day.

Not Bad, Not Amazing

This is a good product, it just didn't WOW me.

I love the pink tube it comes in, it's pretty compact for the amount of product you get and it's designed well so that only a little comes out of the tube at a time (you have a put quite a bit of pressure on the tube to get it out- this is good though cause you don't need much).

The smallest bit is enough for my lips and it does feel really nourishing once it is on. The feeling does stay there for quite some time however once it is worn off (from eating or drinking etc) I haven't noticed my lips feeling particularly different.

I get quite bad eczema on my hands and used it on little patches there too. This was a nice soother in the moment, but again I haven't really noticed any long(er) term results.

It's really nice and moisturizing, and I will continue to use it. Not sure if I would repurchase, would probably be keen to try something similar first.

Tips: Apply a tiny amount at first - a little goes a long way.

She's thick!

So I put Sukin Paw Paw Ointment to the test over about 10 days. Firstly this is a very thick ointment with little to no smell that comes packaged in a small handbag sized tube. The product was so thick in fact that I thought it was sealed with a clear seal, you need to squeeze very hard to get the product out of the tube. In my opinion the packaging appeared cheap and a pot would be better to store it in but I can see the travel friendliness of the tube.

I have dry spots in between my fingers so this is wear I used the product. It didn't rub in completely, it sat on the skin and stayed there for a long time. I do think it helped to rehydrate the area but I did find it uncomfortable and greasy on my hands for that reason I chose to apply it before bed.

Overall I do think it is a good product and if you are looking for a more natural friendly alternative it's worth a shot, it has a great price point and is a fair bit cheaper compared to other similar products on the market.

If you suffer from dry chapped lips I think this ointment would be a great alternative to lip balms as it has little smell and no taste and is heavier and more viscous.

Tips: If using on a larger area I'd suggest applying before bed as this product is an ointment so it sits on the skin and can be bothersome on areas like hands.

Sukin Paw Paw Ointment

I was surprised at the colour of the packaging - the apricot colour (paw paw colour) wasn't what I was expecting but it did grow on me. I was excited to begin using it on a variety of wounds & dry skin areas, if only I could squeeze it out of the tube! The ointment is very solid & perhaps could be better accommodated in a glass jar or similar. After using some elbow grease to squeeze a little of the ointment out I applied it to the few problem areas I had earlier selected. Thats when I noticed the ointment has no smell! Neither pleasant nor unpleasant it wasn't either. I then became reminiscent of Lucas Paw Paw Ointment & its ease of squeezing it from the tube and the divine fragrance it had. However, true to the trial I continued to use the Sukin Ointment over a period of days and in all honesty I felt it was of no benefit. It is a product I will not purchase or recommend for anyone else to purchase.

Tips: Purchase Lucas Paw Paw Ointment instead!

Hydrating, smooth and natural

I got my hands on the Sukin paw paw ointment from my local health shop for $9.99. I use this mainly to hydrate my lips, elbows and for grazes and abrasions for my daughter.

It is different to paw paw ointments I have previously used. It is thicker in texture which means it is great at hydration, and has a slight scent that I can't quite place, almost waxy. It is a very light scent though. It is very smooth when it melts on your skin/lips and stays there for a good while.

The price point is fair I think for the amount of product you get, and being that it is sulphate and paraben free is also a bonus.

I really like the packaging it is an apricot orange colour which is easy to find in my handbag or at home in the medical cabinet. It has a black screw top and squeeze tube which makes it easy to travel with and get the perfect amount of product out.

Cute and helpful.

I got this Paw Paw ointment as part of the Nudes 2 box. I love the little tube it comes in - smooth, peach and a great size to keep in your purse. Getting the ointment out of the tube was a bit of a struggle though, as it is quite thick. I found that I had more luck squeezing the spout end of the tube, whereas if I squeeze the middle of the tube the ointment doesn't budge. However, the ointment being thick is also a good thing: once warmed it thins out so a little goes a long way, meaning there's more product to be used.

I've mostly been using the ointment on my lips and on dried/cracked spots on my hands. I have dermatitis so my hands can get quite sore and/or itchy, especially during winter. I'm happy to say that this paw paw ointment created a nice protective layer over the sores, hydrated my skin and helped with healing. The product doesn't have any smell and taste, which I think makes it more gentle on cuts etc than other moisturisers.

Overall very happy that I have this.

What a blessing!

Now on the road to recovery from a cold that obviously has shares in Kleenex, this was my go to product for nasal and lip skin care.

The tube itself is a very handy size, easy to throw in a handbag or pocket. It doesn't come out easily, you have to apply decent pressure, which is a good thing, very hard to get too much product and have it go to waste.

I couldn't smell any scent, but them my nose was not in it's optimal use.

Applying under my nose was easy, it is clear and applies easily. Immediately soothing and didn't wipe away with the next tissue. Also relieved my dry lips, simply and effectively.

This is a product I will recommend to others and repurchase.

Prefect for dry lips.

I'm always looking for/trying new products for my dry cracked lips. I received this in the last beauty gamble box.

The tube is a funky orange/peachy colour and is a descent size but still small enough for putting in a handbag.

There is no real scent to it, it just smells natural which would be why it needs to be used within 6months of opening. I personally like that it has no real scent to it.

I have so far only used this on my lips even though it is multi-purpose. The formula is very thick and does take a bit of squeezing to get out of the tube. I have to rub it into my finger tips to warm it before I apply it. I think for this reason I would only use it on my lips. It definitely has helps with hydration/smoothness and give my lips a nice natural shine.

Its not very often I use a product that helps relieve and prevent cracks/dry lips, if I use regularly (a few times a day) so I will keep using this for the foreseeable future.

Tips: I love to apply a really thick layer and leave overnight. Prefect for cold winter nights.

Sukin Pawpaw Ointment

I recieved this product in the Nudes 2 box. I have espoused the benefits of paw paw for years But stopped using the more well known brands as they actually contained a percentage of petroleum...and that stuff is just gross. I trust Sukin and really like this product. It does notno have very much slip but that is dur to the natural ingredients. I use it on everything...scratched, burns, sore nose, lips...everywhere! Its great, its a handy travel sized product and its like having first aid in a tube!

Tips: Buy a few - one for the handbag, car, office drawer :)
