Perfect under makeup

When this first came out I was super excited because it was a gel formula and reminded me of Clinique's moisturizing gel. I used to use the clinique one before life got more expensive and I could not justify the cost.

At $30 a pot ( or $15 if you wait for it to come on special) it's a good alternative. The gel formula soaks in really quickly and makes a really good base for my make up. Also you can sweat through it rather than sweating it off ( Dance teacher problems).

I did not notice a huge difference to how moisturized my face was but then I do not have very dry skin as i'm more of a combination.

A friend of mine who has very very dry skin and was struggling to find something to get it under control used this after I recommended it and had excellent results. She has continued to use it and the nigth cream and no longer has any problems.

A pot of this lasts me a few months and it's easy to get as all supermarkets stock it. I will continue to use this product.

Water gel with hyaluronic acid

I was selected for a trial and I have really enjoyed it. My skin is oily with little prone acne. I think this product is great for me because after used it my skin is so smooth. It doesn't clog my pores and during the day my skin doesn't feel greasy. I have noticed that my skin has that healthy glow. I like this gel is not thick and is absorbed quickly. Also I don't have sensitive skin, so its perfume doesn't affect me. Its smell is fresh, I don't think is strong but if you have sensitive skin ask for a sachet. Its packaging is not heavy and looks luxurious. Even though I like it, I would prefer a bottle with a pump, so when I finish this jar I will buy the water gel with SPF 15. This gel has silicone but is oil free. I have used it before apply my foundation. I didn't have any problem with that, my makeup looks good. I would recommend this product in summer season will be super.

Tips: For those day we don't have enough time this gel is really good because has quick absorption.

Hydro boosted skin

Well I got to try this product, the container was pretty. So was pretty excited. The cream was cool and light to the touch. I put it on and boom!!! My face drank it up like a dessert drinks up rain. My skin after using it feels so soft and supple I loved just stroking my cheek....baby bottom smooth.lol. Only problem? I can see myself using it all up quickly. You need a good finger full to cover the face as the skin just slurps it up fast.

Tips: Don't forget your neck and chest!

A little goes a long way

My first thought on using the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel was, it's going to go a long way, you need very little and it glides on so easily. Nicely scented and not over powering. I have been using it for nearly 2 weeks now and with an 'old' skin of 57 years I like how my skin is feeling/looking. It is obvious with how little you need to use that it will be good value for money. I will continue using this product and recommend to friends.

Tips: Use sparingly!

Hydro boost water gel

I've really enjoyed trialling this gel. I would normally stick to traditional moisturiser but found I really prefer the consistency if the gel. It glides on smoothly spreads easily and doesn't leave my skin sticky. The gel smells nice not over powering like some facial cremes. I have sensitive skin and get excema my skin has been left smooth with no signs of irritation hydrated and no reaction from the gel. I will definitely look at replacing this with more when it does run out. A little does really go along way.

Tips: I used a hydra gel face mask and followed with the gel for extra hydration for a refresh over the weekend.

Makes skin feel soft and smooth

I'm a fan of Neutrogena products and have been using them for years. I was impressed with the blue colour of the packaging, and sleek round container, which is lighter than it looks, and it has a nice round top that is easy to remove and screw back on.

I have oily, dehydrated skin and worry about my skin aging and wrinkling. The product has a light nondescript scent, and instructions say to apply liberally. I found I needed less than I thought, as the gel is very easy to work with and apply. Great coverage when applying, and has a slightly wet feel to the skin at first but is absorbed quickly, leaving my skin feeling soft and smooth. The feeling of the product when absorbed is similar to when I have primer applied.

On days I didn't wear make-up but used the product, I found my skin was soft to touch 12 hours later. And I noticed my face didn't look so thirsty/sullen.

I was pleased with the product application and use, but not sure if it was helping my skin add moisture for when I wasn't using the product. I didn't notice an overall difference in my skin without the product, but I did notice an immediate difference when I did.

Refreshing & Light

I was so pleased to be given the opportunity to trial this product, I had tried a similar product previously but couldn't really afford to keep using it. I love the packaging, very cool looking and screamed water & hydration...... The glass jar is slick and expensive looking. The gel is incredibly light. I have really sensitive skin I was slightly concerned it may irritate my skin however following over a week of daily use it hasn't affected me at all. The smell is pleasant, difficult to describe as anything other than water. I have very dry skin and when you first apply this gel it feels really cool & hydrating, I could just feel it sinking in. On my skin it was soaked up almost instantly but I did feel slightly tight after about ten minutes. I have found that I also need to apply my usual moisturiser on top of the gel. I don't mind this, I felt like it has 'locked in' the water based gel. My skin has felt comfortable all day and I think is looking better/brighter overall. ps. I LOVE the price of this product, reasonable enough to be able to continue using this regularly and favorably comparable to the more expensive version I have tried before.

Tips: I recommend letting it soak in and then apply your usual moisturiser on top to 'lock' it in.

Definitely a Wrinkle Slurper

I purchased this product after it was first reviewed on Beauty Review by a few Super Hero members. I was very intrigued by the claims of the hyaluronic acid holding the moisture in and keeping the skin super hydrated and thought it might just be what my deeper wrinkles needed - a water plumper wrinkle disguiser.

Initially finding this product in the Supermarket was hard, although it is now readily available and found in many stores that carry beauty and skincare items. So I tracked down this particular product of the range first based on the initial BR reviews. It comes packaged very smartly and does indeed seem much more high end than the price suggests. I was able to purchase it on special for $22.95, RRP is $29.95 at Countdown. The jar of product is a pleasing marine blue with a light metallic blue lid. The gel inside is a light marine blue with a fresh shower water scent reminiscent of that clean soapy water smell. Application of the gel is interesting - the gel is really cold, a little is all that is needed and it spreads very easily. The gel is rapidly absorbed and leaves my skin refreshed, very soft and smooth and definitely feeling plumped up.

I have mature skin with some deeper wrinkles, slight creping and some finer lines. The gel certainly minimises all these defects and the effect is quite noticeable to me. After I had been using the Hydro Boost gel for two weeks, my daughter and another friend remarked that I was looking more relaxed and refreshed. In fact the daughter asked me if I had botoxed my frown lines as I keep saying that I'm going to do one day.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost is the moisturiser I use first thing upon arising - it wakes me up, and plumps up my skin ready for the day. I love that it has a delicate pleasant scent, can be applied even to the eye area without any sensitivity whatsoever and leaves my skin soft and silky but without any leftover residue too. The best thing is that this cheapish gel does more for my wrinkles than any $100 plus serum has ever done and it is now in my bathroom cabinet for good.

I'm onto my second jar and have branched out to the rest if the range, although this particular gel is hands down the star of the whole range.

Tips: The Hydro Boost is best applied at least 20 minutes before applying foundation or other makeup products especially water based makeup products with sponges. It can also be dabbed on over makeup for a quick pick me up plump in the afternoon without it affecting my makeup.

Great drugstore moisturiser

Bought this in New World at half price, go go go! It makes my skin feel smooth and hydrated and works well for dry skin. I also have sensitive areas on my face and this cream is the only cream that doesn't irritate. The only thing I don't like is its a blue colour to match the packaging in the hydro range, which I feel is a bit unnecessary.

Tips: Great for dry/sensitive skin

Superb for dry skin!

I have trialled this product for 10 days as part of the Hydro Boost skin care range. This comes in beautiful heavy translucent jar which looks and feels luxurious and expensive though I hope that it is recyclable as I feel the packaging is quite bulky and could be wasteful if recycling is not an option. This is a great product similar to high end versions of hydrating gels which are designed to be complement a skincare routine when skin is in need of extra attention. This wonderful gel-crème is a smooth translucent pale blue formula with a light perfume which smells aquatic and reflects the blue/cooling theme of the product. Very soothing and therapeutic to apply it smells and feels wonderful but the scent may not be great for those who are sensitive to fragrance. Sinks in rapidly and leaves the skin feeling like velvet. The box states 'doubles skins moisture in 1 hour' but I feel it does this within seconds of applying. I personally use this/prefer it over the Night concentrate in this range and have been using it as a night treatment, but have also used it as a hydrating mask before applying the day gel, and I find it super soothing under the eyes. A little bit under makeup also works a treat to smooth out any dry patches. I really feel this is value for money as you can use it for many purposes. I wake up with super smooth, grease-free skin which is perfect for warmer weather and I can see this as being a great refreshing summer alternative to my traditional heavier night creams

Tips: Great multi-purpose hydrating gel - could be irritating to those sensitive to perfumes though I have relatively sensitive skin and am fine with it.
